Hello Brothers: The Prince of Twins

Hello Brothers: The Prince of Twins
Chapter 3 First Lesson

Colt's residence was quiet at dusk, the day Agler turned fifteen. All the family members gathered to celebrate including Nick, Mina has prepared Agler's favorite meal while Colt has prepared something Agler needs most at this time.

After the congratulations and cake cutting event now comes the time for Colt to give his gift, the object is a red liquid in a small bottle. Agler knew exactly what it was because he remembered Nick taking it.

"From now on you should get used to drinking it, otherwise slowly your body will be weak and powerless. As I have explained inevitably you must be able to do this for the sake of your survival" Colt said.

"I understand you" replied Agler.

He tried to take the bottle, looking at the liquid inside and the shadow appeared in his mind. The moments where the woman screamed in fear, thrashing to seek help until finally dead horribly.

"Drink." said Colt.

Agler was only able to be transfixed, feeling nausea from within his turbulent stomach.

"Father.... Can we postpone it?" ask Agler slowly.

"Why?"

"I'm just a ready-made outs" replied Agler, bowing his head.

Honestly, he can't do that, though, although he is not a whole human but with the same form and always interact with good people make him unable to do that despite drinking from a bottle.

"Son, you're fifteen years old, ready not ready it's time you drank that blood" Colt said.

"It's okay, we can still postpone it for a few days" said Mina, who knew Agler couldn't.

"But...."

"Don't be too forced, I'm sure Agler will one day do it" Mina said, cutting Colt's speech.

"Hhhhh, all right, go to your room and rest" Colt relented.

"Good dad."

Agler was quite happy because his parents were willing to give him a little understanding even though the understanding made him a little guilty, there was also a feeling of annoyance in themselves who could not drink even a single drop.

The feelings left him unable to sleep, Agler decided to spend his time on the rooftop staring at the beautiful stars.

"Can't sleep?" asked Nick who was suddenly already standing there.

"Oh,mm.yeah" she replied in surprise.

"Can I join?"

"Sit down" replied Agler.

Nick took a position right beside Agler, lying on top of the tile while staring at the night sky that was quite lively that day.

"Mr Nick... How does it feel to drink human blood?" ask Agler who surprised Nick a little.

"Hmm, it's refreshing, my body is getting fit and my strength is increasing every day"

"Do you hunt humans every night?" ask again.

Hahaha

Agler did not understand where the funny location of his speech was, to his surprise he could only wait for Nick to finish laughing.

"It looks like your father didn't teach you anything"

"You mean?"

"Only a Vampirences who drink human blood every day, vampires like me don't even need to hunt because the palace has prepared blood for us soldiers"

"Is that so?" ask Agler gawking.

"What...the reason you postponed it was because you couldn't bear to hunt humans?" ask Nick who is greeted with a soft nod from Agler.

"Listen son, we don't kill humans. We just took a little bit of their blood to keep us alive" Nick said.

"But the woman in the forest... "

"He didn't die, he just fainted and when he realized he would forget to have met me because I had previously drugged him with a special medicine"

"Rest! we still have a lot of time to learn, before that immediately prepare your mind to accept the fact that you really have to drink human blood" Nick said as he moved on and left Agler alone.

The rest of the late night drifted Agler's mind to his knowledge of the vampire world, his father had told him the outline of his people and what would happen to his body after he reached the age of fifteen.

Sometimes he thought why he had to live to be a human half vampire, sometimes he also wanted to decide to die better than to sacrifice human life but Nick's words made him curious too.

Finally Agler asks Nick to show first how he hunts without sacrificing his life as he says.

Under the pale moonlight Nick takes Agler away from his village, searching for the right prey for Agler to learn. Far enough away they went from the village, in just a few minutes they had reached the neighboring village.

Nick's speed in walking makes Agler amazed and overwhelmed because even though half vampire but Agler's power is the same as humans in general.

On the way Nick suddenly stopped their steps with a signal, behind the trees he watched a house where one of the rooms was still bright.

"Why do we stop here?" whispered Agler.

"In a village like this there's no one wandering around at night, we have no choice but to go inside one of the houses"

"What's? but it's too risky, isn't it?" agler was shocked.

"Relax that we won't get caught, follow my steps and you'll be safe"

"But-but.... "

Sssstt

Nick gestures as he looks at the shadow of someone passing through the room and turns off the lights, with his sharp instinct Nick begins to read the surroundings to make sure that everything is safe.

He immediately took Agler forward and stood right under the window of the room that had just darkened, with just one jump he managed to climb up to the top of the window and open it without difficulty.

Without a sound Nick entered and looked at a young girl who had just fallen asleep, he applied a special oil just under the girl's nose so that she fell asleep. After feeling all the preparation was enough, he looked down at the window where Agler was waiting for him with misgivings.

"Get it!" exclaim Nick.

"How do I ride it?" ask Agler.

"You can jump!" answer Nick.

Agler seemed confused, seeing Nick ride with just one jump was easy but difficult in practice because the window was quite high. There is no other way, Agler climbs as much as possible to make Nick confused.

Struggling with time Agler was finally able to get to that window without help.

"Can you jump?" nick asked astonished to see Agler having trouble climbing.

"I'm not a real vampire like you" Agler said.

"The demi-vampire man can jump five meters ah. Now I understand why Mr. Colt told me to be your teacher, it turns out you're rawer than a bat" Nick commented.

"Have forgotten about it, we've started the sucking lesson" he continued, focusing on the slumbering girl.

Nick gestured for Agler to come closer, even though the room was dark but they could see quite clearly. Nick opened the collar of the girl's shirt, revealing a smooth neck and focused on the blood flowing within the veins.

"Most vampires will suck on the neck because you don't need the effort to suck on it, the other one is the wrist. Even so I wouldn't advise you to do so"

"Why?" whispered Agler.

"Raw vampires like you could potentially kill him, when you suck in this part then the way to suck you should be soft and regular otherwise you will make a wound that is difficult to heal and eventually accidentally kill it. The average vampire warrior sucks in this part because we don't always get the blood supply from the palace, we're often in a starving position and this is how to get the power quickly"

"so yeah... "

"Thigh is the best place to draw blood for you, you just have to slash it with your fingernails and suck it. After you finish taking the liquid medicine so that the twelve incisions are closed"

"So.. We're not going to kill this girl?" ask Agler to make sure.

"We had a covenant with witches thousands of years ago, we were allowed to drink human blood but not kill it."

Agler nodded in understanding, so Nick also practiced how to suck on the thigh. All he did was according to his explanation, they finished quickly because Agler already understood.

By looking at himself, Agler now knows better and understands that he is not a monster like his shadow so far, when he returned home he immediately entered the room and stared at the old bottle filled with red liquid.

"I have to dare to do it" he assures himself.
