Yiqian was again - again startled, he had not expected the Sect of Poisonous Insects to be so hiding his strength. He had some knowledge of the heritage possessed by the Poisonous Insects, one of which was the 10 Guardian Beasts who each possessed strength equivalent to a layer 5 Mortal Cultivator. However, it is known that 10 guard beasts have been killed in the past.
“You must be surprised because of the appearance of these 5 beasts, right? They were the purest descendants of the 100 beast guards of the Poisonous Insect sect! Although we have not managed to get the other 5 but that is enough for now” Patriarch Duchong smiled lightly.
Yiqian did not reply but felt worried, in contrast to the cultivators who had to deepen the Mortal technique and some conditions before becoming a Mortal cultivator yet the 10 Beast Guards did not need that. If it was time for them to become Mortal cultivators then they would enter it easily and their level of Mortal cultivators reached 100% which was what if thought of, then, the Toxic Insect Sect already had the certainty of obtaining its 5 Guardian Beasts again just like in the past when all five had reached Mortal cultivators.
“You hid it because you didn't want the Central palace to know about your strength and put pressure on you like it used to! Hmph, today win or not you will regret having taken it out.” Patriarch Yiqian was still a shrewd person, there was no way he would be immediately frightened by such a thing.
“I want to see who dares to say that to the Central palace if you all die here!” Zhen Yuan suddenly appeared beside the patriarch Duchong. His face was now filled with a triumphant smile.
“Hmph! I don't know what you're doing so the Mortal cultivator of the Zhen family left here!” Patriarch Yiqian was extremely annoyed to see Zhen Yuan.
Zhen Yuan smiled faintly. “Go? You mean go to hell?!” zhen Yuan said in a mocking tone.
Yiqian and Duchong were stunned, “What?!”
“How is it possible?!” Yiqian was so incredulous that he did not even want to believe Zhen Yuan's words.
“I don't need you to believe it, because you'll be dead soon today!” Zhen Yuan released his tendrils towards the Yiqian patriarch.
Patriarch Yiqian snorted, he exerted his strength as well to destroy the tendrils that Zhen Yuan possessed. But he was astonished because, the tendrils possessed by Zhen Yuan now reached 40 pieces, greatly increased since the last time he fought the devil.
“I must thank you because without all this, I would not have progressed this fast easily” Zhen Yuan laughed as patriarch Yiqian began to be cornered by his Fire and Water Lotus tendrils.
Keep in mind that the more energy absorbed by the tendril then not only the amount increases but also the strength and flexibility. Now the Yiqian patriarch was no longer able to easily destroy it after successfully absorbing Mortal cultivators and many Soul cultivators as nutrients.
Patriarch Yiqian panicked when one of his legs was successfully snared by three Zhen Yuan tendrils. He quickly took out his weapon in the form of a large scissors and was the only 6th class weapon belonging to the Thousand Pill sect.
“I won't let you!” Patriarch Duchong came and took out his weapon as well. Patriarch Duchong's weapon was a jet-black flute. The flute has the advantage of being able to control insects and make them stronger by up to twice as much.
Patriarch Duchong closed his lips into the flute and then began to play soft tones before steadily rising to a quick and sharp tone. Yiqian who was still trying to cut the tendrils wrapped around his legs came to a halt when he heard the flute.
Shocked, patriarch Yiqian immediately retreated from there. Unfortunately, his move was already too late when all the insects that were there both controlled by Patriarch Ducong and the other members of the Poisonous Insect sect started to react and grow stronger all the time.
Patriarch Duchong directed the entire insect to close the space so that the Yiqian patriarch could not escape. Desperately, patriarch Yiqian had to exert his full strength to keep himself safe for a while.
Of course, among these insects, not a few have poison and use it to attack. Therefore the patriarch Yiqian had to torture himself not to breathe and cover both his nostrils and ears using energy so that the poison did not enter the body.
The increasing strength of the insects made Yiqian have to release his power every time he killed the insects belonging to the patriarch Duchong. The strength of Patriarch Yiqian was decreasing so much that he could no longer dodge the onslaught of Zhen Yuan's tendrils.
