To Be Celestial's Emperor II

To Be Celestial's Emperor II
Become a Servant

“Son, do you want to be my servant?” zhen Yuan suddenly asked after he finished examining the boy.

Bald Kun and Shu Lian were surprised by Zhen Yuan's question while the boy looked elated but also hesitant. The boy knew that Zhen Yuan and the others were good people and came from rich circles, being Zhen Yuan's servant would make his life assured. He no longer needed to steal and suffer from hunger every day.

“Hey son, how? Do you want?” zhen Yuan asked once more.

The boy thought hard for a few seconds until then he nodded, “Thank you sir. I am willing to be your servant” replied the boy sincerely.

Zhen Yuan was very happy to hear it, he then flowed soul energy on the child making his originally trembling body become more firm and the color of the child's face became bright.

“Master is great!” the boy was amazed in his heart, he could feel the touch of Zhen Yuan making his body become stronger and he no longer felt hunger.

“Alright, now tell me your name and your past, ” Zhen Yuan said kindly.

The boy then explained that his name was Baiseng, he was 8 years old. He was an orphan from birth and now lives with his grandmother. Her grandmother was so old that she could no longer work, Baiseng's life was filled with hunger and hardship. Make him have to find his own food, several times he begged and if forced he would steal like before.

Bald Kun and Shu Lian were deeply moved to hear the story of Baiseng. They looked at Zhen Yuan, and thought that Zhen Yuan's action to make Baiseng his servant was just to help him. Both of them were now aware that Zhen Yuan had a heart full of compassion for others.

They certainly do not know that their thoughts are very much different from the reality. Zhen Yuan had disciples like Baiseng in the past so he was very happy to see Baiseng here. As well as Zhen Yuan being able to sense if Baiseng possessed an innate talent that was not inferior to Liu.

The difference is, Baiseng has an innate talent that can be controlled so he will only awaken by himself and will not pose a great threat like Liu. Although Zhen Yuan was not sure what kind of innate talent it was, but he was sure that it would be useful in the future.

“Take us to your grandmother's residence. Perhaps I will send it to be a servant in the Zhen.” family Zhen Yuan said again.

Hearing Zhen Yuan's request further touched Baiseng, he immediately escorted the three towards a hut on the edge of the city. The hut was very small because when the three of them entered from the front door, they had seen the area could only accommodate 5 beds were lined side by side.

“Master, I'm sorry. My grandmother usually does not sleep before I bring her food, therefore I will wake her first.”

Zhen Yuan shook his head, “No need, your grandmother has no”.

Baiseng gasped when he heard it, as if in disbelief, he ran towards his grandmother and examined both nostrils of his grandmother to determine whether she was still breathing or not. In fact, he could feel his grandmother's entire body had been cold and stiff. Baiseng fell down when he found his grandmother was no longer breathing. Zhen Yuan invited Bald Kun and Shu Lian to come out for a while, he wanted to give time for Baiseng to accept the reality. It's very difficult for an 8-year-old to get that kind of pressure.

But not yet had Zhen Yuan stepped out, Baiseng called out to him softly. “Mr... Can I ask you for a minute?”

“Cry for a while, we will be back in a while to pick you” Zhen Yuan said.

“No sir... I just want to ask for time to be able to bury my grandmother before going with you”

Baiseng's words made Zhen Yuan and the others startled, the three of them instantly turned to look at Baiseng who had been standing upright with the rest of the tears on his cheeks.

“This child has a very high conscientiousness. Even after his grandmother's death, he only took a moment to grieve before accepting his reality with a firmness. This kind of mentality was not even possessed by a great cultivator even though” Zhen Yuan exclaimed in admiration in his heart.

“Alright, we will help you” Zhen Yuan said.

“Thank you tuan” Baiseng bowed respectfully before returning to his grandmother's corpse. He paid his last respects and told him he was going to go with Zhen Yuan. Although he knew his grandmother could no longer hear his words, but at least Baiseng had said it directly.

Afterwards, Zhen Yuan along with Bald Kun and Shu Lian helped with his grandmother's funeral. He also provided some invisible formations there so that his tomb was not disturbed by wild animals or damaged by people.

After the funeral, Baiseng had returned cheerful. He seemed to have kept his sorrow in his deepest heart and not let anyone know. This made the three of them once again surprised.
