34. Ant Colony

Throughout the Milky Way underwent major changes, the solar system that fits its order is now starting to make its own groove. The distance between the Earth and the sun is also getting farther away, but the volume of the Sun itself is becoming much larger than before.

Evidently that morning all on Earth were looking at the brightly lit sky, the size of the sun that day was twice as big as before and it clearly made them all shocked.

Some islands are destroyed, land shifts around the world bring large-scale chaos to the surface soils that people and other living things must die under piles of land or drown because of the slowly drowning sea water their homeland.

Overall, the total human population on Earth is now no more than 500 million people. Another quarter of the population was killed as a result of the disaster, while the rest turned into zombies that continued to expand into each region.

The reason Yin Zhen knew it all was because Amber suddenly came to him and told him all those things.

"As expected of the planet being transformed into a world full of magic. The existence of the Soul Constellation certainly made everyone who survived stronger with their determination and courage, but the price was not cheap at all. The entire human population on Earth is almost extinct, with only about 500 million people, it is certain that the Earth can no longer be the planet as before. And I hope the spread of zombies is not too fast, or the human population will be completely extinct" Yin Zhen said as soon as he completed part of his task as a leader.

Everyone in his neighborhood already thought of him as a leader who would protect them, and honestly Yin Zhen did not mind that. After all her little girl still needed a warm and laugh-filled environment, to make it happen she needed to build her own kingdom later.

Amber who heard Yin Zhen's words only let out a slow breath, "although I am not an Earth person, I am sorry for what the Earth is going through. Actually out of the many galaxies I've been to, only Earth is really vulnerable to magic."

The point of his words is quite clear, Amber said that the Earth is a weak planet. Unlike any other planet he had visited before.

Yin Zhen was silent. Indeed, what Amber said is true, but it is thanks to that the Earth becomes a peaceful and safe planet.

Amber again said, "you have three decent Mages in your group. You can make an ice ball without learning the ice skill, and it would be quite surprising if it was known to the top-tier Soul Evolutionaries."

It was only natural that Amber did not know the aura present within Yin Zhen's body, either, because that aura was from the Qi Spirit that was within his body and it was impossible for Amber to know of it unless she had come into contact with Qi as well before.

Yin Zhen shrugged both of his shoulders indifferently, "just consider this my talent."

"Well... Youre right. Considering you have reached the limit of a first-rate Evolutionary Soul even before the Mana gate opened alone is strange. If you think with logic you're more terrible than a monster, you know?"

"I know I'm great, there's no need to praise me like that."

Amber felt like she wanted to hit the man in the face, but she could bear it given her more senior status.

"You continue your work, with only 10 Evolutionary Souls will not be enough. You need to make all these people good Evolutionary Souls in the future, after all it won't hurt you, otherwise it will benefit you greatly" Amber said before her figure disappeared.

All 94 people ate at 9 a.m. Yin Zhen took out a sack of rice from the underground vault and gave it to those in charge of cooking.

Jiang Yalan, Mei Qi, Bian Lu, Hu Lian, Gu Yan, Long Hu and the other four Soul Evolutionaries also started devouring the available food on top of the stretch of white-colored cloth. They do not eat indoors, but outdoors with others to foster a sense of community with everyone.

The meal-eating event was completed and some people started to resume their new tasks such as cleaning the Moon Wolf meat or making a simple residence around the Yin Zhen neighborhood.

But unfortunately the peace did not last long, because a swarm of ants as high as 30 cm and almost a meter long came from various directions suddenly.

"The monster!"

"No!!"

Looking at the swarm of ants that numbered in the hundreds, everyone cried out hysterically in fear. They were running around indeterminate directions which made Yin Zhen difficult to set them up.

Bian Lu and Long Hu were also trying to bring order to everyone, but still they were all not listening.

Until a sickle-shaped flash of light split half of the ant colony in an instant. Yin Zhen lowered his hand slowly calmly, he looked at everyone who was turning to see him as well.

"You're all quiet if you don't want me to treat you like those ants."

His words were slow and calm, but somehow they all felt frightened. It was as if the cold-looking man was a killing machine that could kill them at any moment.

Without having any other choice, they gathered together and ordered themselves. Although they were still frightened by the remaining ant colonies, they were more afraid of facing Yin Zhen's fury.

Seeing that everyone had started to orderly, Yin Zhen stared at his first group of Evolutionary Souls, "you all butchered all those ants. Think of this as a team hunt which means you have to know each other's position to move."

Those Tenth Evolutionary Souls nodded their heads in unison. Facing the ant colonies in contrast to the previous Moon Wolves that moved individually, the ant colonies in front of them moved in tandem and their sheer number would make any Soul Evolutionary feel overwhelmed.

That's why teamwork is needed here.

The five Evolutionary Souls who acted as tankers instantly advanced to the very front of the line.

"Defense ready!" wang Long shouted excitedly.

"Good, I will move to the west side while you move to the east side," Long Hu said ordering Bian Lu.

"I and Jiang Yalan will move with the two of you. As for Gu Yan, you decided on your own to move in which direction," Mei Qi felt the role of a Mage at the initial level was still too weak, so she decided to help the fighter fight at close range.

Gu Yan said calmly, "i'll be with the tanker. You guys are just focusing on slaughtering that ant colony, and I'm going to focus on keeping everyone here."

"Everything's moving!" yelled Long Hu and just right away everyone started their movement smoothly.

All those who were not Evolutionary Souls were mesmerized by the appearance displayed by the ten Evolutionary Souls before them.

"They're all great..."

Both Jiang Yalan and Mei Qi's parents were also proud of their brave son. But on the other hand they do not want their child to be hurt, but there is nothing they can do in this cruel world.

Meanwhile Yin Zhen noticed everything from the side, and naturally he would move once the safety of the people here was threatened. It's just that he felt that he didn't have to do that.
