Grudge of Grief: Kasyaf

Grudge of Grief: Kasyaf
Drama at dinner

   “TOLOOONG”

I heard a cry for help from the front. The attention of the two of them immediately seized to the front, not long after, the three boys were seen running towards them.

“Eh uh, what's up?” tika asked, when they were close.

   “ADA MBAH IJAAAAAH”

The three children continued to run past the two just like that. kept running until it disappeared at the back turn of his house. The path that passes to the side of Mbah Ijah's house.

“TO HOME PAK AZIZ AJA, FAN!”

Although they were no longer seen, their screams were still heard. Tika was scared of it. Soon enough, the sound of the three boys' feet creaking was already echoing above their heads.Yes, they crossed the twisting upper road.

“Mbakwas. Go home, yuk!” take Tika.

   “Hem?” Icha was not connected.

“Lah. How, anyway? Last ngebet want first, now ask to go home”

“Yes there will be Mbah Ijah, mbak” replied Tika.

“Hadeeh. People haven't seen me scared?” icha Ledek.

   “Emang shoot dare?”

“Ya let's see first. Not necessarily also we can squirm”

“We passed his house Mr Aziz yuk, mbak!”

“Same aja, Tika. Most of them also saw it in the bamboo grove. Through there also mengelewatin bamboo grove it” reject Icha.

   “Aduh. How, yeah?”

“Udah hayu continue! Maghrib” hunt invite Icha while moving on the road.

   “Mbakwas. Waita!” call Tika.

Inevitably Tika had to walk along. It would be even more scary to have to walk alone. Along the way his mouth was muttering reading short letters. Icha laughed at the expression of her sister. Even though he was the same, he was reciting short letters, in his heart.

   “Mbak”

Tika menggamit dam hugged Icha's hand when he was about to pass through the bamboo grove.

“Quiet, deck. InsyaAlloh nothing” said Icha soothing.

They kept walking while being vigilant. From the direction of the top road, the three boys were seen in the distance. They walked with Mr. Aziz and several other citizens.

“Aalhamdulillah's. Safe, right?” said Icha, arriving at the fork in the road.

   “Seriously safe, mbak?” ask Tika.

It turned out that since hugging her brother's hand earlier, Tika closed her eyes. So he doesn't know what's going on around him.

   “Mana? Nothing, right?”

Icha twisted her sister's body to face the bamboo grove. Although surprised, but Tika can breathe a sigh of relief. Because there was no sighting there.

   “Alhamdulillah” says Tika relieved.

“Kira, which looked at the boys earlier, really Mbah Ijah is not yes, mbak?” ask Tika.

“Behold shoot anyway, the person who has died has been separated from his relationship with the world. Even if allowed to return, it was only on top of his own tomb. Not going anywhere” replied Icha.

“Heem. I hope so. Iha continue, which they saw earlier, what?”

“Yes don't know. Could it be the actions of the genie waiting for the bamboo grove” replied Icha.

“Yes yuk, mbak! Serem, ih” invited Tika, as soon as he saw a moving bamboo rod waving.

“That got wind, dek” said Icha beropini. But he also followed his sister back to the right.

   “Haa”

Icha was surprised not to play, until his body was still not moving.

“Why, mbak?” tanya Tika was confused.

But Icha did not answer. His eyes stared ahead. In his eyes, he saw the figure he had been looking for last night. The figure should not be able to meet again, because the figure was already buried in the earth. But now the figure was standing looking at him. There was a smile on the lips of the figure, but there were also tears melting on his cheeks.

“Mbakwas. Why, anyway? Don't be afraid, deh!” reprimand Tika.

But again Icha did not respond. His heart was arguing with his logic. That heavy longing made him want to get close to that figure. But the fact that the figure had died made him wonder, who was this he saw? Setankah's?

   “Nduk”

   “Haa”

A clap on his shoulder drew him to the conscious. He was confused to see many people around him. And there were both of his parents behind him.

“Tuh, right. Mbak Icha aja sampe ngefreeze that, Mr. Aziz” said one of the boys.

“What are you squirming, nduk?” ask Maryati ma'am.

Icha did not answer. He still looks confused. He turned his head towards the front again, but the figure of Mbah Ijah was no longer found.

“Mbak Icha see his spirit mbah Ijah, yes?” ask the boy.

Icha's attention was severed on the source of the voice. For a moment he wanted to justify what the boy was asking. But if he does, then there will be slander and furore, about the ghost of Mbah Ijah who haunts. He doesn't want that to happen. He shook his head.

“Not. That was it, kuntilanak” replied Icha. Either it can be called lying or it can't be.

“Tuh. That was the genie waiting for the bamboo grove, Ki” said Mr. Aziz.

“But we saw it, Mbah Ijah, pak”

“The name is jin, can nyerupain anything. Niru you can also”

“Ih. Sired. Even nakutin aj” protested the boy.

“Yes, let's go to mushola!” take Aziz sir.

   “Yuk” says Sigit.

They walk in groups. The boys are still vigilant. Afraid that suddenly intercepted Mbah Ijah figure again.

At the house of Supin maam, it turns out that it is rame mothers who want to mix food for tahlilan. When Miss Maryati and the family came, they stopped. Makes Tika suspicious.

Because the time of Maghrib had arrived, they were encouraged to pray together first. At the time of the ablution queue, there are those who let go of talking, if they were talking about the spirit of Mbah Ijah. It turns out that not only the three boys were haunted by the spirit of Mbah Ijah. Some mothers also had encountered the figure of Mbah Ijah. The places are different, but clearly, they are places that are often passed by the late.

Hearing that conversation, Icha felt sad. His knowledge is too superficial about the spirit, making him wonder, whether they meet it is really the spirit mbah Ijah, or not.

But clearly, one pat on his back, successfully made him move from the abode. His mother smiled and walked with him into the mosque.

After praying maghrib congregated, how tahlilanpun dilasakan. Icha and Tika follow her mother, concocting food for tahlilan participants.

On the terrace of Supin bu, the gathering event was held again. There are even mothers who openly brag about the emergence of the spirit of Mbah Ijah, which he said was haunting. Sontak ghibahan was provoking opinions from other mothers, with their own experiences in the surup earlier. They seemed to not care about the existence of Icha family, which is the closest family mbah Ijah.

For a long time Icha was unable to hear their hibahan. then he decided to go home early, with the reason his head was dizzy. as if not feeling guilty, and then he said, the mothers who berghibah instead gave advice to Icha to drink this and that herb, because they said they are suitable for those who run out of long trips. Tika came home with the excuse of accompanying her brother. There remains Maryati's mother who survives with all the inhibitions of her neighbors.

When invited to eat together, Tika prefers to fry eggs rather than eat soto made by her stepmother, who is rich in chicken meat suiran. Bu Sari understood the attitude of Tika, who had yet to accept her presence.

“Pak. What about the police investigation?” ask Icha, while waiting for food to be prepared bu Sari.

“Investigation is still ongoing. Police are still working on TKP. There are a few cars ahead?” answer mr. Sigit.

“So, no statement from the police yet, sir?”

“Ya new that was. About robbery, and estimated cause of death Mbah Ijah”

“Icha is a bit confused, sir. Emang Mbah Ijah has a simple what, until robbed? Icha has never seen anything interesting to be robbed, pak”

“Kalo is now strange, sih” said bu Maryati.

“Kalo used to be, in the seventies, not strange” continued bu Maryati.

   “Kok can, bu?” ask Icha.

“Mbah Ijah once married the same manager of the gold shop” sahut pak Sigit.

“Oh, yes? Just found out, Icha”

“Yes. But emang, her husband Mbah Ijah went home first. After the robbery fitting abis shopping jewelry gold”

   “Innallahi. Persecuted robbed, sir?”

“Neg. Died anyway, because of illness. just yes, maybe pain due to mind alone, the same event of robbery was”

“And not leave a legacy, sir?” Tika spoke up.

   “Witness?” mr. Sigit asked back.

“That's him, sir. Tika is just as confused as Icha. Icha has never seen anything so valuable that until robbers” replied Tika.

    Tik tuk

A short message went into Icha's phone. Seeing who was sending the short message, Icha put down her spoon, and took her phone.

    Clunting

Because he did not pay attention to the location of the spoon, as a result the spoon fell.

   “Wash first, nduk!” father's advice.

Ichapun moved out of his chair. He's headed to the dishwasher.

    Ceeessss

   “AAA”

Icha suddenly shrieked loudly.

   “Why, nduk?” ask Maryati ma'am.

Icha was stunned, and played a tap of water at the place washing the dishes.

“Neg. Cockroaches. It's nongol antennas, from below. Icha shocked” replied Icha.

   “Ooh”

Everyone chuckled considering Icha's screeches were quite surprising earlier. It was just cockroaches. But that answer is not an honest answer. Icha just answer. He himself was not sure of what he saw.

Either he's real or he's still exhausted. Tap water that should be clear, in the eyes of Icha suddenly turned into a deep red and thick like blood. But after he squealed, the water had returned as clear as it should have been.

Icha shook her head, dismissing thoughts about the devil. He sped up the process of washing his spoon, in order to immediately resume his dinner.

   “Ha?”

He screamed again. But this time without a sound. Just as he was about to step back to the dining table, he suddenly saw a shocking sight at the dining table. The chicken soto that her stepmother brought, as if turned into a blood sauce by stuffing maggots, and chopped worms. He also saw pieces of a small finger like a baby finger. One bribe had even gone into his mother's mouth. It has been swallowed, and will bribe for the umpteenth time.

Icha instantly felt nauseous. Icha wanted to remind her mother and father, but it must have been considered delirious again. She thought hard, how to get her heard.

   “Hemp”

Sounded of nausea. Making everyone look again towards Icha.

   “Hemp”

Remembering the maggots entered into his stomach, making Icha unable to resist nausea. He turned his body to the place where he was washing the dishes, preparing if he could not bear to vomit.

   “Mbakwas. You why?”

Tika got up from her seat and approached her brother.

   “Heem.

Icha did not answer. He was growling.

   “Mbak?”

Tika was puzzled to see her brother grasping the spoon with stiff hands. Also eyes that glared full of anger.

“Don't eat that food! I'm in pain” said Icha quietly and growled.

“Eat, which food? Soto what egg?” ask Tika.

“DO NOT EAT THAT FOOD!!!” said Icha while swinging the spoon in her right hand.

   “AAA”

   “AWAAASSS!!”

    Wuuss

The spoon just split the air. At the right time, Mr. Sigit pulled Tika away.

   “AKU KESAKITAAAAAN”

    Brawn

   “AAAWW”

Icha kicked down the dining table with a bang. Miss Maryati and Miss Sari screamed in fear. Bu Sari even ran to the front of the house, avoiding the rampage of Icha.

“DO NOT EAT THAT FOOD. I'M IN THE SADNESSN”

     Praaaang sraaaang

Icha rummaging through a whole table. He himself spilled that soto gravy.

   “Icha” call mr sigit

    Deerrrt

   “Aaaakkk”

Like being electrocuted, the touch of two fingers Sigit pack on Icha's chest, can make Icha faint. Sigit carried his eldest daughter to his room. He asked Maryati's mother to change Icha clothes that were wet with the soto sauce.
