I Love the Light

I Love the Light
The arrival of Denis

Denis pulled his car over at Gavin's compound. Although deep down he justifies the words of Bella, somehow the heart of a father who wants to see his daughter still dominates, so he decided to try to ask Gavin to immediately marry Gilang to Dania.

"Eh, Denis tumben you're coming. Is there anything that's really important?" gavin asked as soon as he saw Denis's appearance.

"Can't I come here? does anything important have to come?" suhut Denis while landing his body sitting on the sofa.

Gavin chuckled and immediately pressed the off button on the TV remote.

"Not really, just a tumben aja," said Gavin while looking at Denis' face.

"But, judging from your face, there seems to be something you want to talk about. Is my guess right?"

"You are an understanding friend. You're right, there's something important I want to talk to you about" Denis said, returning Gavin's gaze.

"What's that?" Gavin confirmed his sitting position, ready to listen to what the friend was about to say.

"What is this about Dania? if so, what should I say?" inner Denis with a feeling of anxiety.

Denis didn't immediately open his voice. The man looks still a little hesitant and embarrassed to reveal his purpose of coming to see him Gavin.

"What's up, Denis? why are you still silent?" Gavin asked again.

"Emm, start Vin. I just want to ask you when Gilang and Dania are getting married? given that they've been engaged for a very long time," Denis finally made up his mind to immediately reveal his purpose.

Gavin. Sure enough, his best friend came to see him to discuss the marriage of Gilang and Dania.

"Oh my God, what do I have to answer?"He seemed to start panicking, because he had not prepared the answer to give Denis at all. However, if he is in the position of Denis, certainly do not want girls not given clarity.

"Denis, for the matter of marriage, now I leave everything to Gilang, because he will live it. I as a parent can only be supportive," Gavin replied finally, after being silent for a while.

"But, there's no harm in us as parents, asking? because I'm sure, a lot of people are also sure to maintain the continuation of Dania and Gavin's relationship, because of their long engagement,"

Gavin was silent again because what Denis said was true.

"What you said, and I have asked Gilang many times, but he never gave a definite answer. So, I decided to wait for her decision only. I didn't want to push him, so he was forced to. You know for yourself that whatever you do is not good." said Gavin diplomatically.

"Aren't you able to persuade her to marry Dania soon? their age is growing, Vin. As for the age of Dania and Gavin, they were already deserving of marriage," Denis still tried to persuade Gavin.

"Denis, as a father, I know you think of Dania's happiness, but I'm also a father, who also wants Gilang's happiness. If I had been willing to get them engaged, this time, I wouldn't have been selfish to ask her to marry Dania as soon as possible, because I didn't want my son to blame me if he wasn't happy. I also do not want to live in guilt if I see my son, unhappy with his marriage," Gavin said at length without pause.

"Do you think Gilang will not be happy to marry Dania? you seem to doubt me so much, my son," Denis's emotions began to be provoked.

"It's not like that I mean. Do not get carried away with emotions first! I doubt Gilang, can not give happiness to Dania, given that all this time, Gilang's attitude is always cold to Dania,"

"But, it's not necessarily the thing we're afraid of happening, is it? it could be the opposite. I think it would be very unwise to think too far, about things that are not necessarily happening" Denis said

"Obviously, my granddaughter wouldn't have gotten married if it wasn't for her wanting to." Melinda would have been standing behind the two men.

.

"Ta-ante! since when are you standing there?" ask Denis nervously

"I've been standing here ever since, and have heard the conversation between the two of you" Melinda said with a less than friendly face.

"Emm, look, Auntie, I do wish it was like that, Gilang himself who wants to get married soon. But, it is also good for us as parents to remind our children, to think of marriage. Frightened because it was too busy working, Gilang forgot about the wedding," Denis said very carefully.

"My grandson couldn't have forgotten what he called marriage if he really loved his partner. If he has no intention of getting married, I think you can already draw conclusions as to why he does not want to get married. That means ...." Melinda purposely hangs up her words, letting Denis conclude for himself.

Denis' face turned red. He wanted to feel angry, but angry for what he did not know, because anyone could see that Gilang had never wanted Dania to be his life companion.

"Emm, like that huh, Auntie? well I understand enough. Then I'll just wait for news from you. I said I'd go home first, because there was something I wanted to do" Denis stood up from where he was sitting and left after Gavin and Melinda invited him.

"Well, weren't your words too harsh?" gavin asked after Denis' body disappeared from their sight.

"Once in a while we have to be firm like that, Vin. Not always? feeling bad, even if it's our own best friend. What you said was very true,"

"Which word, Ma?" Gavin squinted his forehead.

"You say you are also a father, who thinks of the happiness of the child just as he does" Melinda said.

The silence paused for a split second between Gavin and his mother Melinda. The man's face still looks tangled because it still feels bad with Denis.

"What about Gilang's marriage to the Light? when can it be done?" chirped Melinda suddenly, stopping the silence that had been created.

"Light has already submitted the letters needed for the wedding. Because it was done secretly, and without having a party, their wedding will be held in two more days" replied Gavin.

"All right then. Hopefully, there are no obstacles. It's best to do it during the day, because Dania usually comes in the morning" Melinda suggested.

"Yes, Ma. It was me and Jelita thinking, too,"

"Good! then mama goes first, mama wants to meet the Light, so that mama gets closer to my son-in-law's future granddaughter," Melinda concluded, as she passed away.
