12. Almost Just Meet

Two weeks passed.

I don't know why tonight the atmosphere of the park is so quiet. The park is usually crowded until nine p.m. Especially on a Sunday night. There is a night market that is often held to peddle local culinary and also seafood.

"Asahi, what are you doing?" ask Hanako.

Arya stands on the guardrail of Ju Island beach. 

"I was just enjoying the bright night view of the sea" said Arya.

"Cold, huh?" Hanako hugged herself. 

She hopes Arya will give the jacket she wears and wear it to Hanako. However, the girl was wrong, Arya even close the zipper jacket that she used because the night air was getting cold. 

"It looks like it's going to rain so it's getting colder" said Arya.

"Hmmm, apparently. Want to eat ramen?" ask Hanako.

"Can." Arya nodded.

"Come on, we'll eat ramen over there, yeah." Hanako pointed to one of the stalls selling ramen at the market that night.

"Cieee .. It looks like Hana is getting closer to Asahi." The voice of a girl with two braided hair was teasing Hanako and Arya.

Convinced is Hanako's classmate at school. 

"Yes, dong! We're getting closer." Hanako wrapped her hands around Arya's left arm.

"Hmmm, I seem to be disturbing. Oh yes, Asahi…." Yuki stopped his steps.

"You want to teach at school? My father is looking for an English teacher. I see it looks like you speak English" Yuki said.

"Ummmm–"

"Can't! Asahi will be my guardian" Hanako said.

"Oh, yes, that's it."

"Wait, Yuki! I want to try it" said Arya stopped Yuki's steps.

"Ashi!" Hanako tried to pull Arya and looked at her sharply.

"I don't want to be a parasite on you. I don't like to hear the scorn of some of your father's students about me" Arya said.

"Who's bothering you? If anyone dares to bother you and even scorn you, then I will make sure he will not be able to breathe well, or see the sun clearly" Hanako threatened.

"I don't like you saying that. If you really appreciate me, then let me work. At least I have the self-esteem to work with and not depend on you" Arya said firmly.

"Well, Asahi is really cool," praised Yuki.

"Gee!" Hanako glanced at him sharply. At that instant, Yuki looked down in fear.

"alright. You can work at school. But, every day you have to go and go back to school with me, okay?" 

"Okay, I get it. Come on, let's eat ramen!" bring Arya.

Anta and Ria who had come to the market fair that night had just come out of the ramen shop. Arya sees Anta and Ria away. In that instant, there was a strange feeling arising. 

"Why, Asahi?" ask Hanako.

"Eitherway. It seems like I've seen two people" Arya replied.

"Which two people?" ask Hanako.

The figure of Anta and Ria had left by taking a bus that stopped at a stop not far from the night market. 

"Hmmm, maybe it's the wrong person. Come, in!" bring Arya.

Hanako nodded. Upon entering the tavern, it was heard that the tavern owner and a waiter were talking about Anta and Ria.

"Hello, Mr. Kagawa! What are you guys talking about?" hello Hanako.

"What were you talking about?" ask Hanako again.

"So there was a young woman who ate three bowls of ramen on her small body. He said my best ramen. He's very kind, Miss. He helped my mother clean my mother's house from ghosts. Then, my mother gave me food stamps at this tavern. He ate three bowls, absolutely amazing. She's also a pretty girl" he praised with sparkling eyes.

"Ghost hunter girl? Wow, interesting," said Arya.

"Hmmm, maybe he's just a con man. You should know after all that there are no beautiful girls here but me" Hanako said.

"Of course, Miss. You've always been the prettiest." 

Arya sees Mr. Kagawa praising Hanako with force. On his face there was only fear because his grandfather Hanako was a powerful person on Ju Island. 

"Please prepare two special ramen for us" Hanako said.

"Good, Miss."

The sound of a long needle ticking is signed as time rolls on, breaking the silence of the night. The voice that came from the room of a young man who suddenly just muttered in his sleep. A sweat poured from the young man's forehead.

Ken dreams of being in a park that he often visits to meet his lover, Harumi. The young man sat on a park bench looking at the golden koi fish pond in front of him. 

"Have you been waiting for me for a long time, Ken?" ask Harumi.

"What do you really want? What do you want, Haru?" sahut Ken's.

"I longed for our good times" said the girl, sitting next to Ken.

"You should've left, Harumi. Why are you bothering me?" ken began to worry.

"I'm not bothering you. I'm just remembering the best time I've ever had with you, aren't I, honey?" harumi asked while looking at Ken.

Harumi still looked at Ken intently. His hand stretched out to reach the back of the lover's left hand. His face was very pale. However, the young man's reflexes pulled his hand and slipped it into the pocket of a black leather jacket.

It was obvious that it made Harumi gasp and disappointed. It was the first time Ken refused to have his hand held by his lover.

"Originally you know, Harumi. We are in a different realm now. 

I'm getting less and more unable to look you in the face. My heart is very painful. Moreover, your departure at that time because you prefer Hoka." 

Silent while looking down, Ken rubbed the face that began to flow tears using the back of his hand.

"But Hoka killed me, Ken!"

"There's no solid evidence that he killed you. You died of poisoning. You have to go Harumi. Calm down in nature there," pinta Ken.

"I-I, I miss you," said Harumi softly, "forgive me, Ken."

"Already, Harumi. You take it easy, I will always love you. Go quietly now" Ken asked.

Ken and Harumi were silent for a long time. There was only the sound of dry leaves strewn about and the wind. 

"Do you want something from me?" ken asked to break the painful silence.

"No. I want to be like this with you" Harumi said.

"I have to go" said Ken.

"Let me stay with you until you meet the kind girl I feel you deserve" Harumi said.

Ken finally nodded and began to move from where he was sitting. The pain of being ripped apart has not subsided, making Ken reluctant to try to stare at the girl's pretty face. Moreover, that night Ken intends to bury Harumi after they dated for five years. However, she finds Harumi having sex with Hoki in her apartment. 

The apartment that she and Harumi rented and prepared as a place to stay later after marriage. In fact, Harumi betrayed him. Ken then leaves Harumi. 

The voice of a middle-aged woman's calling woke Ken from his sleep. He's dreaming about Harumi again. The girl always met him in a dream. 

"Ken, you've been bad luck at work. Aren't you on post duty today?" The voice of the grandmother named Suzuka, was heard shouting while knocking on the door of the young man's room.
