Chapter 24: A Little Hope

Yujin took the opportunity to find out the situation even further.

"Would the human kingdom come to terms with the demon race?"

"It's obviously something impossible. Even my colleague Talia Entas has gone to the dam town of Goten to check the attack there."

Basically the attack had been anticipated by Yujin almost nothing dangerous anymore there.

Talia Entas who was talked about appeared at the right time.

"Arnold I want to say the thing I saw."

Talia had ponytail brown hair with a slim stature, she was not wearing armor like the thick Arnold but rather something light as if in order not to disturb the movement from her.

Yujin and Talia meet.

"Ah, it's true that this man managed to defeat the captain of the demon lord Bana's army."

Yujin replied with a doubtful smile.

"You may be wrong."

"I can't possibly get it wrong, he even froze the dam in order to be repaired."

If it was that far Yujin could not deny it anymore.

"Am I fighting there too?" cut Liliana.

"If so we should give gifts too."

"Well that's too much, we don't do it for the money, which at the dam let's just assume we just happened to pass by."

Vesta seems to agree. After all if Yujin did not save her there would be a bad taste in her heart as well as Liliana and Vesta.

"For now you rest first, the banquet will be prepared and I will call the waiter to prepare whatever you need."

Liliana and Vesta raised their hands in unison.

"We really need a shower, if we can."

"Of course, they'll set it up."

Both are quite excited about cleaning up. Yujin did not need much so she went to wait in the grounds of the palace by trying to swing her sword.

Somehow it is heavier now than ever.

"You're very good at using Yujin's sword."

"You're Arnold, what about the others?

"How do you say it, it sounds perverted."

"I'm sorry for my wrong style of speech."

Arnold approached and said.

"How about we try to fight swords, I'm a little curious about your strength."

"I don't mind but I don't think today's the right time."

"I think you're right, maybe next time."

Yujin closed her eyes and said.

"We met your queen just by chance but it might also be a certain fate."

"What destiny is it more?"

"The fate to stop the war against the demon king."

The words were enough to make Arnold speechless even so Yujin chose to explain what happened.

"It's hard to believe that there are such sects but I think it's too late, the war will only end if one of us is destroyed, after all I cannot forget all my comrades who have died because of this war."

Wind waving Arnold's blue hair, he looked at Yujin as if peace was just something empty.

"So that's it."

At a glance Yujin already knew, the person in front of him no longer fought for the people or the kingdom but was purely just a revenge.

People like this can no longer be persuaded to take a different path. He decides to return to his room and meets Talia who accidentally bumps into him in the corridor.

"Ah I'm sorry, I'm in a hurry."

"It's okay but you look very busy."

"I must prepare another army for the next battle. This war sucks."

Yujin stops Talia with an ambiguous statement.

"You seem to be forcing yourself? Why did you go that far?"

"Why? Well I think if this war is over both sides can live in peace."

Talia was running. Yujin smiled at him while watching his fairly wide back.

"At least this kingdom still has hope" he said slowly.
