Chapter 9 - Meet Sweety

'Uh, he started again.'

"Yes, it's up to you if it's a photo." Rania finally relented, she no longer wanted to argue with Ran, and spent a lot of time.

Rania arrives at Arkan's house, and of course she is lectured by Aunt Betty for being an hour late. He was ordered to clean the yard, from starting to cut the grass, watering and even plucking the small grass that grew wild filled the yard.

"Sa, what's wrong with you?" The voice of a woman who happened to pass by where Rania worked. The conversation between the two of them accidentally reached the ears of Rania who was crouching while plucking the weeds.

"Sweety, she didn't want to eat, after Madam died she seemed uninspired, even the food I gave her she didn't eat at all." Said the woman named Sasa in a lethargic voice.

"Really, did you know about this?"

"He knew, several times Master tried to persuade him, but Sweety still did not react, maybe she knew what happened to Madam. People say dogs are the most sensitive animals."

'Sweety, is she sick?' inner Rania muttered.

Sweety, the dog that Allea saved from the streets, when he was injured his leg was broken and his body was filled with skin diseases, his body was thin due to lack of food, and his body was too weak, no matter what happened to this bulldog, maybe he was dumped by the previous owner because of the disease he suffered.

Feeling anxious, Rania goes to the cage where Sweety lives.

Rania walked in, looking Sweety was sitting face down, she ignored the people who came to visit her.

"Sweety, are you okay?" Sweety's ears moved slowly, perhaps recognizing Allea's voice. He then looked.

Woof...! His word.

"Why don't you eat? Is the food bad?" Point Rania at the dog's bowl of food that still looks full of special dog food.

Woof...! The dog made a sound again, he got up and sat up straight, his black bead staring right into Rania's eyes.

Rania slowly approached, she thrust the bowl at Sweety, "eat, I don't like you to behave this way."

Sweety was still staring at Rania, maybe she was looking for the figure of Allea in Rania, "yes it's me," Rania thrust her palm at Sweety, and she looked at her, and like a trained dog he put his front paw in Rania's palm, maybe that's how he recognizes his master.

Nguk... He made a sound as he wagged his tail, he approached Rania and lowered his head asking at elus.

"Good dog, now eat. I saved you so you could live well, not like this" Rania said, gently rubbing Sweety's head.

"What are you doing here?"

Degs... Rania was glued to the spot instantly, her eyes were perfectly widened, she knew this voice, it was Arkan.

'Did he hear what I said?'

Arkan entered the room, and approached Sweety who was now eating while lying on her stomach. "Good, good dog you have to eat a lot." He said as he rubbed Sweety's head gently.

Rania got up and retreated slowly to put some distance between her and Arkan. Arkan looked over, his gaze narrowed sharply.

"What did you do, so he wanted to eat?" Ask.

"Sa-I just treated her like an animal lover in her pet, nothing special." Rania subverts with a lowered look, avoiding Arkan's sharp and curious gaze at her.

"You like animals?"

"Good, then from now on you'll take care of Sweety. He's my wife's beloved dog, maybe he's feeling sad because his mistress is no longer in this world." His hand rubbed Sweety's head.

"Well, leave it to me, sir, I will gladly take care of it."

And after that Rania often took Sweety for a walk and play, now her condition has recovered, Sweety has returned cheerful as before.

Today Rania came home a little night, a lot of work that she had to do because there was a party that was held at the Arkan residence.

At the end of the street, a black silhouette sat crouched in the darkness, its back leaning against the dead street lamppost.

Gleck... Rania swallowed her saliva, her eyes looked around, suddenly her hair felt bristling, the atmosphere here felt lonely and gripping, not a single vehicle or animal passed.

"Damn it, I'm really scared" Rania muttered softly, she kept walking trying to ignore the creature.

Degs...Degs...

Rania's heart was beating fast, even with her steps, "you didn't see me, you didn't see me," she muttered as she walked, with a shriveled body of fear.

When Rania almost passed by, suddenly the creature woke up and stood up, it turned out that it was not a creature, but a Human.

'Damn, it looks like I have to run, humans are more terrifying than ghosts.' Inner Rania.

"Sister." When she was about to run Rania heard Ran's voice from the person, it was true that she was Ran.

"Sister! Why do you sit in a place like this, you know, I almost hang it," said Rania annoyed, did not think the creature she was afraid of since was Ran, who covered her head with a sweater.

"Sister, why do you come home once a night? Brother has been waiting for you since last afternoon, because long wait Brother so sleepy and do not feel asleep here." Ran instead answered the question with a question anyway.

"At the Arkan house there was a party, so we were pretty busy waiters" explained Rania, they walked home together.

"Why Brother is waiting for me, next time it is not necessary, Brother must also be tired after work."

"No papa, I don't feel calm letting you go home alone at night" he said.

"Yes, but don't sit in a dark place like that, instead I'm scared." Complain Rania, while Ran just grinned the horse.

In the distance, some people were laughing and staggering while holding a bottle in each hand.

"Damn, it's them." Peeking Ran, he stared warily, his hand reflexively grasping Rania's hand.

"They are who, brother?" Rania asked curiously, but one thing was certain, they were not good people at all.

"Juno and friends. Do you remember the guy who destroyed your teddy bear? There he is, it looks like he just got out of prison for being a drug courier." Ran Said.

Rania just kept quiet, and nodded slowly, she had no memory of Rania's previous life, but she could only reproduce to keep Ran unsuspecting.

"We'd better hide first, they're too many and they don't seem to be friendly people" said Rania, she pulled Ran's hand and took him to hide in the bushes not far from there.

"You're so cute Brother, where maybe a person like Juno would be friendly," Ran chuckled amusedly beside Rania, they were currently squatting while watching Juno and his comrades' movements.

"Sister, shut up. Or there'll be no point in us hiding here" Rania scolded.
