"Don't, Bas."
Bastian. He had no expression at all even when he realized that person was Kana.
They stayed there for a long time. Until finally Bastian removes Kana's hand from his arm.
"Don't get in my way." Bastian raised his legs again to the second iron guardrail. Makes Kana sobbing.
"Bastian! Nay! Bas, down!" Kana shakes Bastian's arm until the man steps back on the asphalt and begins to be angry at Kana.
"Why are you here, huh? You made me like this and now you're stopping me from ending it!" Pekik Bastian's.
"That's not what I mean, Bas!"
"LAST WHAT! AFTER BLINDING ME AND KILLING MY BROTHER, HOW DO YOU WANT ME?? SUFFERED? ISN'T THIS WHAT YOU WANT??" Shouted Bastian, making Kana sculpt. He looked at Bastian whose face was truly pitiful in Kana's eyes. For some reason, seeing Bastian like this made him hurt himself. Is he too cruel?
"Then I have to, Bas.." Ask Kana in a hoarse tone. He couldn't hold back his tears.
"Then I have to how...When you try to destroy my life and Krishan, you will destroy it, do I have to be quiet? I'm his wife, Bas. He's my husband. I have to defend him. If you were me, you'd do the same, right??" Kana asked with watery eyes.
"That's your fault! It was your fault for having married her!!" Pekik Bastian's.
"Look! You see how I am now?? Hancurr! My future is gone, I'm a kara!" Bastian again.
"It was your fault! You made your life like this yourself! If you had just come to me, apologized and promised never to do that again, I would have forgiven you, Bas. I'll help you find an eye donor.." Say Kana while touching Bastian's jaw. But quickly the man brushed it off.
"Let's try to change, Bas. I'll forgive you. I'll help you, but you didn't do that even to this day." said Kana. She wiped away the tears that kept flowing down her cheeks.
Bastian was silent for a while, until he finally re-directed his body to the front of the river. "Go away. I don't need you."
Kana was still crying quietly there. Heedless of Bastian's words.
Very quickly, Bastian immediately went up and released his grip on the iron fence, he dropped himself.
"Basty!!" Kana quickly caught Bastian's hand. He's hanging there. As much as Kana's energy held Bastian's hand while continuing to cry. Kana's heart is sliced. He's not gonna let Bastian just die.
"PASS!!" Terika Bastian from down there. He shook his body so that the two hands of Cana who grasped tightly were released.
"Got.k.." Kana held back with all her might, even though her chest hurt due to the pressure on the iron barrier. He defends.
"No! Please bus. Please don't do this. Get on the bus. Get on." Kana's tears trickled down Bastian's face. The man felt the sadness of Cana if he fell into the deep river below. But Bastian doesn't care about that.
"Bas, please. Climb in. I'll help you. I'll help you, Bas."
"Deliver! Lass. I no longer have any hope. You destroyed that!"
Kana crying. His hand firmly held Bastian's hand which slowly began to decline.
"You're my best friend, Bastian." Lirih Kana's. He looked at Bastian who had no intention of living. I don't know why Kana feels so guilty right now.
Bastian stayed there. Kana saw the tears in the corner of her eyes coming out.
"I'm not your best friend, Kana." Bastian releases Kana's hand with his other hand until it is released.
"BASTIAAAANNNN..." Kana screamed loudly as her hands were no longer able to hold Bastian's body. Kana was getting tormented when she heard the sound of water down there.
Krishan quickly came and hugged his wife. He clenched tightly onto Kana while staring at the water below.
Chris calmed his wife who had not stopped crying. Kana, he heard Bastian's last words. The man apologized before he forced Kana's hand and fell. Kana heard it even though the word was very slowly spoken by Bastian.
But, there's no other chance. Bastian himself doesn't want to live. He chose his own path.
The news broke the next day. A male corpse was found lifeless. After recognizing who it was, the notice circulated below the dead there was Alexandry Ghiz Sebastian.
Alana is crying hysterically in Bastian's chest. He was comforted by Adam. While Kana, she was unable to cry. His eyes were puffy and his face began to swell. One night he spent crying over Bastian. He thought about Bastian's apology.
"I forgive you, Bas." Lirih Kana slowly. Unknowingly her tears flowed again. Kana's eyes felt sore and hot.
Krishan clasped his wife's hand. He stroked the hand gently, winning it even though Krishan knew he couldn't make his wife stop crying.
"Why are you like this, Bas. What's the problem, huh? Why don't you tell us.." Alana moaned there. She kept crying especially when she found out that Bastian had no family. Only his close friends came to the funeral building. Bastian's place will be buried there.
A man approached. He's standing near Bastian's coffin. The man took off his glasses and lowered his head in honor of Bastian for the last time.
"Are you his friends?" Ask the guy.
"Yes. We're his best friends." Answer Alana.
"Look, actually, I don't know who to hand this letter to." The man took out a brown envelope and handed it to Alana.
"What's this?"
"That's a copy of Mr. Bastian's handover letter to several parlors, as well as the donor's affidavit by Mr. Bastian." Evidently.
"Donor?" Ask Kana again.
"Yes, before he died, Mr. Bastian signed a letter that he donated his organs."
Kana's eyes widened. Did ya? Bastian did that?
"But not everything can be taken because Mr. Bastian died drowning." Further again.
Krishan hugged Kana's body which looked increasingly limp.
"Will you go home?" The whispers of Krishan and Kana shook their heads. He will follow Bastian's death ceremony until the end. As Kana's last tribute, Bastian apologized to her. Cana who initially felt guilty, now can accept it. Not because of him, but it was Bastian who wanted to end it. He no longer wanted to live even after Kana promised him so much.
Kana, now standing on a mound of land named Bastian. The people are gone, and so is Alana who Adam was swept away for being too saddened by Bastian's sudden death.
Kana crouched down, putting a bucket of flowers on it. Kana rubbed Bastian's tombstone.
"Bastian, until any moment, I won't forget you. How when we first met, I didn't realize you were the owner of the cafe where I used to work. That's why, right, you easily granted my request for a 3x pay raise." Kana laughed softly as she remembered that.
"Bas, you're a very nice warm man. It's just, you also used my sincerity in making friends. But even if time plays.." Cana pitched up, holding back tears that kept spilling. "If time plays out, I'll still be friends with you." Smashed again. Kana lowered her head in a few seconds, before she finally chose to leave from there. Meet Krishan who was waiting for him at the end of the funeral.
Krishan embraces his wife, rubbing Kana's shoulders slowly while walking away from the wet yard that has been drenched in rain, as if the world is saddened by the passing of a Bastian.
