My 100th Secretary's

My 100th Secretary's
Bayu O'Grady

The PRC Group Building Manhattan New York

Ajeng follows the beautiful Italian girl and sees a diamond ring on the ring finger of her left hand. It's already engaged.

"Let's miss Pratiwi."

"Oh Ajeng alone" Ajeng replied unwell.

"Then call me Gemma. We're the same age" Gemma smiles. "24 years, right?"

"Yes, I'm 24."

Gemma and Ajeng sat in the meeting chair.

"So like this Ajeng, your job is to take care of a big baby that is super difficult to face" said Gemma seriously. "Have you ever heard of Bayu Blair O'Grady?"

"CEO of this company right?"

"Yes. And you will be his secretary" replied Gemma making Ajeng almost fall out of his chair.

"A..what? I am... CEO secretary? I guess.. be the secretary of the Manager or .. not the CEO anyway." Ajeng held his temple with both hands. It feels like the world is like a muter.

"How's Ajeng? Be prepared? If you can hold a year with Mr O'Grady, there will be a six-figure bonus" Gemma said.

The eyes of Ajeng sparkled at the six-figure bonus. "Seriously?"

"Seriously. It's all in your employment contract clause, Ajeng." Gemma gives a map containing Ajeng's work contract and the girl learns everything.

Waw! Bonuses, overtime money, salaries, annual bonuses ... You can buy this island in Indonesia...

"Sorry Gemma but this isn't too much?" ask Ajeng.

"Well, this is worth the weight of your work."

Weight though? How kilo? "My main task?"

"Serving all of Mr O'Grady's schedules, needs and work files. Look, Bayu O'Grady is the person you're most difficult to deal with. He is a demanding person (prosecutor ) that everyone should be able to follow the rhythm of his work. Mr. O'Grady is a true workaholic. Oh, you got a girlfriend? Husband-to-be?"

"Why do I have a boyfriend?" balas Ajeng is confused.

"Must be ready to be stirred" kekeh Gemma who remembers Gasendra to the craze because Bayu has worked forget to the surrounding. As a result forget that Gemma is still in the office with him even though the girl's clock has come home from earlier just because Gemma is lazy to go back and forth if needed Bayu. Fortunately my girlfriend is her own sister.

"Gemma herself already has a boyfriend" teased Ajeng as she pointed at Gemma's ring finger.

"This is why I have to find my replacement" Gemma smiled.

"How many secretaries has Mr O'Grady had?"

"Do you believe that you are the 100th secretary?" said Gemma that makes Ajeng gawk.

"Whaattt?"

This week Gemma painstakingly taught Ajeng. Both can be freely without interference because Bayu is in Tokyo Japan for a symposium in engineering and business affairs for two weeks.

"Sugar coffee one every nine in the morning and five in the afternoon. Food is no abstinence but there should be morning and afternoon Snacks. Gemma, his name is Mr. O'Grady and Bayu. Is he Javanese?"

"He's a bulldozer and Javanese but stronger to his bull."

Ajeng.

Gemma's phone rang and immediately picked her up. "Yes Mr O'Grady? Alright... Already exist. Fine." Gemma turned off the call on her phone. "Prepare, Mr. O'Grady has taken the elevator to get here."

Before long the sound of the elevator rang and looked a large tall man came out wearing a navy blue suit plus turtle neck shirts with matching colors and sunglasses. The man walked past the Gemma table where the two girls stood to greet him. The man then attached his right thumb to the door scanner of the room next to Gemma's desk

Bayu Blair O'Grady

"Gemma.." baritone voice that according to Ajeng is very sexy considering the shape of the person who speaks is somewhat inversely proportional from his expectations.

I thought his voice was heavy like a smoker, but it wasn't. He glanced at Gemma.

"Yes Mr O'Grady?"

"That's new?" ask the man again while opening the door of his study.

"Yes Mr's. O'Grady."

"Good." Gemma turned to Ajeng who was still putting on an auto gawking face. "Say hello to Mr Bayu O'Grady."

Ganteng but kok njelehi kayake wonge. - Inner Ajeng. Duh Gusti, may iso at home me. (can be at home I ).

Five minutes later Ajeng was sitting in front of Bayu O'Grady who was studying the girl's CV.

"So, are you Indonesian? Javanese Tribe?" ask Bayu.

"Yes Mr. O'Grady. I'm pure Javanese."

"Where's the laugh?"

"Middle Java."

"Miss Pratiwi's. Central Java is vast. Do I need a map?" Bayu's blue eyes stared intently at Ajeng.

"Solo. Both my parents wong solo. Do you know what solo wong means? Wong Solo it..."

"I know, miss Pratiwi!" cut Bayu. "I also still have descendants of Solo so do not need to describe the meaning of Solo wong."

"But the father does not look Solo let alone Jawaanya. Only the name of the doang that was discovered there are still Javanese descendants" Ajeng chirped.

Bayu raised his eyebrows. "You yourself. How did you get to New York?"

"Well, where do I start sir?"

"Don't from your time brojol!"

Ajeng laughs. "Mother Bayu is funny! So look, both of my parents got jobs here when I was in High School. When I was in college, both of my parents died of plague while in South America, in Suriname to be exact. My father and mother were doctors sent to help with the outbreak. But they're victims."

Jayu listened seriously.

"Therefore I chose to live in New York, get a green card, work whatever halal origin and can fulfill my life here. Oh if Mr. O'Grady asks about my parents' insurance money, some of it I keep and not in Atik's favor while some of it is for my tuition."

"Will I ask you about your parents' insurance money?" reply Bayu with a cynical tone.

"Mbok menowo nanya's father" Ajeng replied in Indonesian. "Eh Pak Bayu can speak Indonesian right? Saru lho sir, jenenge Bayu not iso Indonesian (No way sir, his name is Bayu but can not speak Indonesian ). Iso mebek mbah buyut, Mbah cangah his Pak Bayu (can cry eyang great, eyang kanggahnya )."

"I speak Indonesian, Ajeng Pratiwi. It is even mandatory!" answer Bayu with fluent Indonesian.

"Alhamdulillah. So if I speak Indonesian with my father, no problem? Sometimes I get tired of speaking English. I miss being able to talk to people who speak my mother tongue."

Bayu just shook his head. "No. Keep using English here!"

"But sir..."

"Ajeng Pratiwi, if you still make a fuss..."

"Good sir." Ajeng bit his lower lip to silence which inexplicably made Bayu feel something strange in him.

"I gave you a week to experiment. If you can work in accordance with my expectations, you have just been appointed as a permanent employee. Understood?"

"Understand sir."

"Already, you are out learning with Gemma" expelled Bayu.

"Good sir. Thank you for accepting me to work here. Excuse me." Ajeng nodded then exited the room Bayu.

The blue-eyed man saw Ajeng Pratiwi's profile photo. How do you look like mommy?
