Bitter Reality

Nino tore off the invitation in her hand, then she threw it on the floor. His face was red and held in anger. Disappointed, angry and sad to be one, when he knew that the woman he had been waiting for would marry another man.

Nino came straight out of her house. In a hurry, Nino got back into his car. Nino will meet Odelia who currently lives in London. Nino must hear everything from Odelia.

"Del, why do you have me?" Nino hit the steering wheel of her car.

Nino drives her car with a confused mind and feeling, her past with Odelia is back in her head.

Flashbacks....

After school, Nino brought 3 chocolate bars to her lover, Odelia. Nino and Odelia had already liked each other when they were kids. Both of their parents were friends. Nino goes to Odelia's school to give her the chocolate she just bought.

It just so happens that today at Odelia's school there is a pension, so outside students can enter Odelia's school freely, because the pension can be watched by the public. As Nino walks to Odelia's class, Nino passes the school field, she sees a young boy expressing his feelings for Odelia and asks Odelia to be her lover. Odelia accepts the man as her lover. Nino immediately came to Odelia who was hugging her new lover.

"Del, can we talk to you for a second?" Pinta Nino is fine.

"He's an Auckland Hills High School kid?" Appoint Odelia's lover to Nino.

"He's my neighbor. A minute, huh?" Odelia stroked the hand of her new lover.

Nino walks to the main gate of the school and Odelia follows him from behind.

"Why did you betray me?" Tanya Nino with a cold face.

"Bray what? Come, No! We're in 1st grade High School now. We just got into our early teens. Have fun!" Odelia answered casually.

"Aren't you my lover?" Tanya Nino with a confused face.

"Yes, I am your lover. But we'll just end it, okay?" Odelia Pinta.

"You mean?" Nino seemed to not understand.

"No, you're so jealous! I don't like. I'm not free. We are still teenagers, still looking for ourselves. We are also only 15 years old. It's only natural that I still want to get to know other men. Tell you what, we end our relationship so you don't feel like I betrayed you. We are free to date anyone, but remember! Don't wear a heart! And then after 27 years, let's get married!" Fresh Odelia.

"You're telling me to date another girl, too?" Nino frowned in wonder.

"Yes. Have fun! Date as many girls as you want! But remember, you have to marry me, and I'll marry you later!" Odelia.

Nino's heart aches at hearing Odelia's orders, but she is worried about what she should behave, because Nino loves Odelia so much.

"All right," Nino agrees to her ex-lover's wishes.

After that day, Nino became a playboy and loved changing lovers. Every time he saw Odelia with another man, Nino wanted to vent everything to another woman. But in her heart, Nino always waits where Odelia returns to her.

After graduating from college, Odelia moved to London. Odelia's father died and her mother remarried to a Londoner. Every month, Nino always sends money for tuition and Odelia needs. That was until Odelia completed her master's program. Nino and Odelia just greet each other via phone. When Nino reminds her of Odelia's promise, Odelia always dodges Nino's question.

Kaivan and Alden always advise Nino to forget Odelia. They felt Odelia was just playing and taking advantage of Nino. But, the advice of his two best friends was never heard by Nino. Nino believes Odelia will marry him when she turns 27.

After driving for 1 hour and 40 minutes, Nino finally arrived in London. He went to Odelia's house to ask for an explanation. Didn't Odelia say she was going to marry him? Nino has to find the answer.

Odelia looked surprised at Nino's arrival. Odelia immediately stood up and pulled Nino's hand out of her house.

"Would you come here?" Odelia asked when she saw Nino.

"We need to talk."

"All right, let's sit down!" Odelia sat in a chair in her yard.

"What do you mean by the invitation you gave me?" Nino looked at the face of the woman before her seriously.

"Well, you don't understand? I'm getting married" Odelia clucked softly.

"Don't you always say that you're going to marry me?"

"No, I'm a rational woman. There was a handsome, well-established man who wanted to marry me. When should I refuse?" Ask Odelia with her comfort.

"Even? Del, you know how my family is. My family is much more than established. Didn't I pay for college and all your needs?"

"You're not sincere?" Odelia looked at Nino in annoyance.

"It's not like that. Del, I can give you anything. Why are you marrying another man now?"

"No, you're so naive! You don't have your own company yet. The money you're proud of belongs to both your parents. My future husband owns his own company and does not rely on his parents. I'm just being realistic as a woman" replied Odelia who increasingly made Nino's heart ache.

"Then, what about your promise?"

"That stupid promise again! Forget that promise! It's just a joke that 1st grade High School kid said."

"If it's a bitch, why do you always give me false hope all this time?" Nino looked at Odelia with a wistful glance.

"Simple, I need money for my tuition," Odelia bluntly said.

Nino laughed and shook her head at Odelia's words. He had not expected Alden and Kaivan to be right. Odelia just played and used it.

Nino immediately stood up from her seat, she did not say another word. Nino got into his car and returned to Birmingham.

"So, all this time you've only wanted my money?" Nino spoke to herself in her car.

"I hate women!" Nino gripped her rudder. Then Nino called Alden and told him everything.

After arriving in Birmingham, Nino also visited the largest nightclub in the city.

"I hate you, Del! All this time I've always wished you to keep your promise," Nino sipped the wine in her hand wildly.

"I'm not getting married. I don't want to get married" Nino raved at the bar table. Nino broke the bottles of wine in the club. Someone who knew him immediately called Alden and told him about Nino's situation.

Alden and Kaivan pick up Nino at the club, they bring Nino to Kai's house because Kai's parents are not there, Kai's wife and son are staying at his best friend's house.
