Monica, walking lunglai down the sidewalk. His head was raging thinking about many things.
Why is this all happening?
Why do I have to experience this?
And there are many other reasons why else haunts his mind.
At one point, he felt what he had experienced now, also experienced by Haura first when he had to be driven away.
Again, Monica was crying.
"What is karma?" he murmured slowly, among the sobs that sounded so bitter.
The other pedestrians were made to feel pity, especially seeing Monica who looked like a person who was so desperate.
Monica, finally stopped at one of the bus stops. He carried nothing, only his faithful handbag.
Buses came repeatedly, but Monica remained unmoved sitting there. He kept thinking, how good. 10 Million, he will not use enough to live in Jakarta.
Especially in this city, he has no name. Even his family threw him out.
Surabaya, is the only city that is imagined by him. The city where both parents came from.
In the past, when Monica was a child, she was often invited to make a pilgrimage to eat her grandparents to the city. And now, Monica intends to stay and settle there.
Until he is able, to return to the city of Jakarta.
The bus came back, when the sun was already so hot. Even Monica had to cover her face, so that the glare did not disturb the vision.
Before actually going to Surabaya, Monica intends to meet Haura.
At least, he wanted to explain something to the woman. Explain that he suffers through all of this.
Adam, never gave her love for 5 years of marriage. And now, even when separated Adan did not give him anything.
Get off the bus, Monica goes back on foot, towards Haura's house. A house he knew for a long time.
But Monica steps back, she even turned her face quickly when she saw the ex-husband's car into the yard of the house.
Adam came.
And when the car stopped, he saw Haura go down, complete with her two children, Azzam and Azzura
Instantly Monica felt tight, her heart ached as if she had been stabbed by thousands of needles simultaneously. When it's smashed like this. Adam continued to pamper the woman.
Monica didn't cry, her tears were all over. All he could do was one, clenching his hands tightly.
Keep looking at Haura and Adam.
"I'm gone" said Adam, shortly after coming down with Haura.
They had finished measuring the clothes in the Zahra mansion. Then return home during the day, as well as pick up Azzam and Azzura. Now her two children had entered the house first.
His parents are still in the yard.
"Yes, I'll see you tomorrow" replied Haura, among her shy smile.
Why is it that every time a farewell is like this, it's as if they won't meet for very long. Every morning Adam would come to pick up his children, and they would meet again.
Adam did not answer, he smiled faintly. Don't know Haura, if I don't want to part with her. Inner Adam, while looking closely at the second netra of the future wife.
"What conditions?" ask Haura directly.
"Tomorrow afternoon come to my house, I'll pick you up before I pick up the kids" Adam said, with a surer smile. Not detained.
Hearing that Haura just nodded, she had never even been to Adam's house. The distance between the houses is so close.
"Alright," Haura replied later, making Adam's smile widen.
Adam, stroked the Haura coconut bud for a moment, and then immediately passed from there. While Haura was still silent where she stood. Smiling, watching Adam's car go away, away until long ago disappeared.
But suddenly Haura's smile shrank. When he saw that there was a woman coming closer to him.
Despite never meeting, Haura knew very well who the woman was, Monica.
Adam, once told the figure of Monica, even Adam also advised her to be careful with this woman.
"Haura," Monica said after she stood right in front of Haura.
This, was the first meeting between the two after so many years of being entangled in fate.
Haura did not answer anything, only continued to return Monica's gaze. Monica smiled at him.
"Congratulations, you managed to get it all" Monica said again, with her bitter smile.
"What do you mean?" reply Haura, with her cold voice.
Just like Adam's voice when talking to Monica.
"You managed to get Adam's mas as well as all of his possessions" Monica replied, still with her inexplicable gaze.
"From the beginning, Adam's mas is mine, but you sneakyly separate us both," Haura argued no less fierce, to make the two Monica's netra more patterned.
He did not expect that Haura would dare to look at him sharply like this. Unexpectedly, even Haura answered so loudly.
Monica thought, Haura is a weak girl.
"Stop blaming others. Because the one to blame is you," Haura said again, in fact she was so unbearable when she saw Monica who looked desperate.
Not to mention when he saw his face that looked so swollen, hinting that Monica had been crying for a long time.
But Haura does not want to be off guard, however Monica is a person who has toyed with her life, as well as the lives of her two children.
Constantly reviled by Haura, Monica simply flinched. Even easily, Haura could corner him.
"Well, I'll go and give you Adam's mas." Monica spoke again, with her eyes beginning to dew.
"But remember one thing, you will not be able to be the real wife of Adam's mother, if there is still Luna on Adam's side" Monica said.
"There is no need to give me any advice, especially to bring Luna, think for yourself how your life will be. You will continue to blame others, or you improve yourself," Haura replied, in such a cold voice.
Even after saying that Haura turned around, left Monica and immediately went inside her house.
Seeing that the door was closed, Monica immediately fell down, collapsing on the grass of Haura's courtyard.
His legs were limp no longer to stand and his tears fell again without excuse.
Monica smiled, a smile that felt so bitter.
