38: Don't Cry

"Air?"

Devano's voice is heard in the house that he often visits and next to Devina because they do have a promise to have dinner with Adara, but when he gets home it looks so dark. When pulling the door knob also opened because it was not locked and it made Devano anxious he rushed to open the door and barged inside.

Devina's hand held the tip of her twin and followed Devano's every step that opened several doors. His eyes ventured around even though the lights were on, but still Devina was feeling very scared.

Unlike the twin who was afraid Devano actually felt so anxious and immediately pulled out his phone to call Adara, but unfortunately there was no answer. Once again Devano roams the house in search of her girl's whereabouts, but the results remain the same.

There's no one.

Did the girl's father come back?

"Vano why?" Devina asked when she saw the look on her twin's anxious face

Is Adara leaving?

"Where's adara? He didn't say he was leaving and the house wasn't locked at all." Devano said worriedly

He was still trying to make a phone call making Devina notice him in silence, her twin looking very anxious.

Devina always sees the anxiety when one of their families falls ill or gets into trouble, but for the first time Devano feels anxious for a stranger.

No, maybe not a stranger, but a mean person in Devano's life.

Devano's remarks were heard when he could not contact Adara at all, his call was not raised and he massaged his forehead slowly trying to think where Devano was going.

As if aware of something Devano clasped his twin hand and took Devina out of the house.

"Where'd Van go?" Ask Devina

"We're trying to get to the hospital maybe Adara's there." Devano

"He sick?" Devina asked who was answered with a headband by her twin

"She's the same Mother there's a check-up schedule to the hospital today at school she said." Devano

Out of the house Devano immediately closed the door and went to his car, yes he brought the car because he did not want his twin cold because of the night wind. Although it was only a mere worry, but still Devano was reluctant because his twin had just recovered.

On the way Devano's phone rang which the man hurriedly saw and when his maiden name was listed there he immediately raised the call without a second thought.

"Hello Dar lo where? I'm the same Vina to the house, but you don't exist." Devano said quickly

Not the answer, but what he heard was a joke and it made Devano more anxious and Devina who looked confused.

"Where's dar lo? Why cry?" Ask Devano worriedly

With a disjointed voice Adara answered it made Devano hold his breath for a while and then increase the speed of his car.

"Gue wait there"

The call was turned off and Devano's facial features really looked anxious making Devina look at him in a daze.

He was also worried to see his twin.

"Vano why?" Ask Devina again

"We go to the hospital first, Vin?" Devano said without answering his twin questions

Feeling that Devano was reluctant to speak, Devina just nodded briefly and then clasped her twin hand tightly. Turning her head Devano tried to smile in front of her twin, Devina must have been anxious to see him like this.

During the trip there was only silence until Devano's car parked in the hospital area he immediately grasped Devina's hand and invited her to go inside, looking for Adara. In silence Devina just followed her twin footsteps until they saw the figure of Adara sitting on the hospital floor while leaning against the wall.

As if understanding Devina let go of her hand and let Devano approach Adara who was sitting alone near the ICU room.

Somehow Devina also felt sad especially when Devano approached the girl and made her look up with tears and hugged her twin tightly.

It felt that all the wounds and sadness went to Devina's heart until she felt tight and moved her legs closer.

At her place Adara shed her tears in Devano's arms letting the man see all her wounds. Shortly after the examination this afternoon Ella suddenly felt pain and fresh blood came out of her nose.

It felt like Adara's world collapsed when her Mother passed out again and was dealt with immediately, but when Ella once again entered the room Adara felt her hope had been lost.

Time to stop that moment.

Plus the words of the doctor who said that there was no hope anymore disease that gnawed her Mother was very severe.

Adara could not say anything more just crying in Devano's arms and she could feel a swipe on her back that made her look up then look at Devina beside her.

Luckily there were both of them.

"Gue here Dar, I'm not here to be afraid." Whisper Devano as he hugged her very tightly

Adara did not respond still continued to sob in his arms making Devano really did not have the heart to see it.

Women who had always been called rude and heartless by their schoolmates were now crying bitterly in their arms.

Showing the wounds that had hurt her so deeply that she could do nothing but cry.

"Mother"

Only that one word came out with great difficulty from Adara's trembling lips, she was afraid of being so afraid to be left behind.

Until finally a nurse who came out in a hurry made Adara's eyes round and she immediately twisted off Devano's embrace. His heart beat faster and faster as a doctor rushed into the room, he would not be left behind right?

Devina gently embraced the girl, trying to provide some calmness.

"All must be well, Dara." Said Devina who unfortunately did not manage to make her feel calm

Adara looked blankly at the door until finally when the doctor came out of it she immediately ran up to him.

He did not say anything just looking at the doctor expectantly.

Hope she says that her Mother is fine and will soon come to her senses.

But, when a word came out of the lips of the man in white clothes plus the look of regretful face Adara felt devastated.

His world collapsed just then.

The only thing he heard was his name before it all suddenly darkened.

He lost consciousness.

Only for a moment did the world let her be happy with Mother before everything was taken back.

Destiny is back to playing with her life.

A group of people in black clothes gathered at the funeral home to convey condolences as well as words that were expected to strengthen Adara, the girl who was abandoned. There were many teachers at his school who came because even though he was a bad boy and liked to make trouble, but he was still their student.

Beside him was Devano who was embracing him fondly letting his head rest on his shoulder. The funeral was done a few hours ago and now Adara still has to sit with empty eyes because there are still many people who come.

Ella is a kind person and is familiar with her neighbors and friends so there are so many people who come and hug her telling Adara to be patient for all that happens to her.

Devano's parents were also here that Adara was crying in Fahisa's arms which made the middle-aged woman cry and gave strength to him.

"If you're tired you can rest Dara"

Sentences and touches on his shoulders make Adara look up and look at Fahisa who is staring at him.

He smiles then nods his head and lets Fahisa embrace him and takes him to the room.

Until in the room Fahisa sat himself near Adara and then gave a warm hug for him, a hug that is as warm as Mother's embrace. Once again Adara cried she put all her pain in Fahisa's arms.

"Now... Adara. alone..."

Adara painstakingly said that she was holding back the tightness and the intense stuffing that attacked her.

"It's not a pity you're not alone, there's Auntie and Vano the same Vina who will always be there for you, we're family." Fahisa said softly

She never had the heart to see a child crying bitterly like this it felt like Fahisa wanted to always hug her and give her strength and say that she would be there for him.

"Thank you"

Nodding briefly Fahisa rubbed the top of Adara's head fondly, tidied the girl's hair and then kissed her forehead long ago making tears flow back in her beautiful eyes.

"Never feel alone, there's an aunt you can back up." Said Fahisa

Adara nodded then wiped away her tears quickly making Fahisa smile and rubbed her cheeks.

"Auntie's out first, huh?" Said Fahisa

Shortly after the middle-aged woman came out Devano went inside and approached the silent Adara with a straight forward look. When her name was called she looked up and came back crying, it felt like today would only be filled with her cries.

"It's okay Ra I'm here don't be afraid." Devano said as he carried the girl into his arms

"Gue.. Van's..."

"Sst you're never alone I'm always there for lo Adara." Devano said as he rubbed the top of his head fondly

"Gue. Dear Mother.. Van"

"Mother also loves lo Adara and he does not want to squirm lo nangis kayak gini, do not cry hmm?" Devano said softly

"Mother's Kangen..."

"We can go to Mother's grave whenever you want and I will always accompany you." Devano

"Don't.. Van"

Adara's embrace constrained her to really fear that Devano would also leave her one day and she would be completely alone.

Alone without anyone.

"Gue will never leave you Adara no matter what happens I will always be there beside you." Devano

Devano's hug groaned he really didn't like to see his girl cry until like this and suddenly Ella's words some time ago rang.

'Mother is afraid that Mother must go and leave Adara alone'

But, Ella did not leave Adara alone as there was Devano who would always accompany her.

I don't know how long Adara was in his arms until Devano finally felt there was no more stuffing and the girl's breath began to be regular. Carefully Devano let go of his embrace and saw Adara who had fallen asleep made Devano slowly lay the girl's body on the bed.

After pulling the blanket to cover half his body Devano rested near the bed and looked at Adara's slightly pale face.

The girl looks broken and fucked.

Devano slowly brought his face closer and kissed the forehead for quite a while.

"Gue here Dar don't be afraid"

Devano's hands stretched out to gently rub his cheeks before he actually walked out of the room and let his girl rest.

Even Juan and his family had not come until now.

They might even be happy to see Adara destroyed, but take it easy Devano will make the girl rise again.

Devano will fill Adara's life with many colors.

He would make the girl smile without a burden.
