In the afternoon, when Leo was out of his study, he, he again saw that Jasmine was still in front of the company building even though the clock had shown at 18:30 and that meant that there were no more people working here but why he still saw Jasmine being in the company.
"You're back to overtime?" asked Leo who was standing right beside Jasmine.
"No, I'm waiting for rain" replied Jasmine as she was waiting for the rain to subside and she was able to walk out in search of a bus. Actually he could have taken a taxi but unfortunately the money because he had to save so they could pay off the debts left by his late father.
"Only a fool waits for the rain. The rain won't stop if you wait here. Are you some kind of rain handler like the one in Indonesia?" leo asked who started chattering with Jasmine and it made Jasmine startled because she did not expect that she could be this chatty.
"What is this arrogant guy who often says unpleasant things to me? are you the honorable young master Leonard Casio?"
"Sad, you even memorized my name well. I asked what are you doing here? it's almost night and there's no one here but the security guard. I can't guarantee that no one has done you any misbehaving" Leo said as he still vividly remembered several times he helped Jasmine out of wanting to be harassed by someone.
"I've said that I'm waiting for the rain to subside and if the rain is low then I can just go walk to the bus stop to get on the bus and go home."
"Why not take a taxi?"
"Once I go by taxi to go home it's the same as my commute for a week of work. After all, why waste money just to take a taxi if the ride could be. It stays the same, right? my house will not turn into a luxury home if I come home by taxi." replied Jasmine because that was the reality.
Leo himself really did not believe what Jasmine replied. How can he calculate all the costs of commuting to work for a week with the cost of one taxi ride is the same. So far as that woman's mind?
"Then, that's why you're always at a stop could be the target of criminals out there just because you don't want to take a cab and fear you're out of your own safety?"
"Wherever we are, the threat of distress is always present so I believe that God will not dwell in and in God will also always help his truly obedient servant." jasmine replied again because it was her reality.
"You say that like you're a holy woman. Then what are you doing at the club' night?" leo's question makes Jasmine recall her past.
Jasmine's sharp gaze pierced Leo to the heart and it made her feel guilty at this moment.
"Would a woman who works in such a place not be obedient to worship God? is there a specific prohibition on worship? if the woman of the night is she not allowed to worship and obey her Lord?"
Plaque!
Jasmine slapped Leo bravely. For the first time in his life he slapped someone he thought was outrageous.
"For the first time in my life I hit a man. I've never done this to anyone because they've never humbled you more than you do right now. You never know anything I've been through so don't ever say anything you don't know at all. You only know what I did and what you've seen without you knowing what really happened. We're not that close just to making you lower me like that. If it's true that I'm a woman that night is none of your business at all. You have no right whatsoever in my life and let alone interfere in my affairs. Enough, just act like a boss and bring me and never play nice to me because I don't need that. Excuse me sir!" he said with great emphasis. Even he was suppressing his words.
Even after ni slapped Leo in the face and charged the man with harsh words from her Jasmine instantly went through the rain just like that because she did not want to linger too long along with the man at all never appreciated women.
Leo could only silently nail her in place because what Jasmine had done to him earlier had really made her distrustful of it all. Truly, Leo felt guilty by what he had told Jasmine about the world she had been through.
True said the woman, that they were never that close to making Leo can insult her. Whoever Jasmine was in the past, Leo had no right to do that to her. Especially hurting her heart like that.
"Here it is, I don't care about him" said Leo, who got into his red car as he was soon home. I feel tired of facing all this. I don't know until when he has to work at this company because his Daddy's money doesn't come back.
Brak!
Leo even slammed the door of his car because he was upset with yourself but he didn't want to believe that his heart went to Sal because of his own actions. He just kept thinking that what pissed him off was Jasmine.
While the woman was, she had finally gone up the Lake for this time already because she did not want to see Leo again. It was up to this time that he would have to spend a lot to take a taxi, since he could at least leave the man quickly and be unknown to him again. If only he would wait for the bus instead he would get wet and not necessarily also will get the bus.
Inside the taxi, Jasmine wiped away her tears that had fallen just like that while she was biting what Leo had said about her earlier.
Truly, this was extremely painful and Jasmine felt that she was becoming the most despicable woman on the face of this earth. Especially when he told Leo about his belief in God.
"Tissue," the taxi driver gave her a tissue box and Jasmine picked it up and thanked him for it.
