Ophelia'S Destiny Line

Ophelia'S Destiny Line
CHAPTER O4: VOLUNTARY FEELINGS

Performing the wedding summoning ritual is not always successful. Some people need to do it many times.

Their bride is not something that exists by itself, or like taking an apple from a tall tree with one hand.

Every living being in that world, has their own destiny line to get their bride. The ritual will work if the bride and groom are willing, or in other words, to die in their own world.

The brides are humans that the earth does not want anymore. After their death, there were two things to bet on. First, stay in the land of the earth waiting for the time of reincarnation to arrive. Second, surrender to the Oracle to cross another dimension.

Some who fail to perform the ritual mean their bride chooses to reincarnate. The rest, their brides are ready to be made a handle on life.

"So, what made you turn yourself in to the oracles?"

Eleazar's question left Ophelia shocked. At first he did not want to answer, but finally he said, "Yes... Because I'm willing...!"

Eleazar raised one eyebrow, "What?"

"I'm willing to be your bride. So from now on, you can count on me, Asael!" Ophelia said with a smile.

"You're hiding something" Eleazar said with a serious look at her. At that instant, Ophelia's face changed. He looked so sad that he turned his face the other way.

"I'm tired of living in my world. I was abandoned, and raised by a group of people who always gave their bodies willingly. They said I'd grow up like them. But, I don't want to. I ran away, but there was no place for me. I had to follow a crowd of people who were moving around, follow a madman who gave me a bed, until I settled on the bakery's door mat. Then, someone came up to me in the rain. He said I could live better if I left my world. And tada! I did!"

Eleazar was silent for a while after listening to Ophelia's story. The reason why she was so blatantly accepting to be his bride. Because, Eleazar tau. There was never a bride willing to be summoned to that world. They will get used to it, and begin to accept the circumstances after staying for more than a year.

"In particular you lower your own ego, Eleazar" Elmer in his beast form flew and landed in front of the two of them.

"The clouds can talk?!"

Elmer changed himself, and Ophelia was open in disbelief.

"It looks like your body is starting to balance and stabilize, the regeneration system is starting to work properly" Elmer said. Then he thrust into Ophelia a parcel. Eleazar immediately seized the parcel and he himself gave it to Ophelia.

The cognizant Elmer said, "In it is a regenerating herbal remedy, he should take it twice a day after meals. Afterwards, he had to drink green tea to maintain his endurance, it was in there as well."

Ophelia looked into the package, and sure enough, she got a package that read regeneration and a box of green tea, "Thank you... Mister?"

"Meet me, I'm Rubeus Elmer, call me Elmer."

"My name is Ophelia..."

Elmer bowed once, then he sat himself on the sofa right in the middle of the room, "So I came to Mr. Brutus' house and said you had done the ritual. They set a good date for your wedding and celebration"

"You went there without my consent?" Eleazar asked with his face down.

"If I wait for your approval, you'll just delay it."

"You-you"

"Good night, Ophelia" Elmer bowed once and turned into a raven. He flew through the balcony almost cutting his body when Eleazar closed the glass door there with his strength.

"What was that...?" Ophelia asked as she helped Eleazar to lie down again as her room moved up.

"He's my right hand man, we've been friends since childhood."

"You don't have to think about it, it's none of your business."

"Oh... So.."

Then the whole door was locked, the windows began to close. Some large lamps are also replaced with small lamps hanging from the ceiling. All of this surprised Ophelia.

"It's a different world..." Ophelia Mumbles.

As Eleazar pulled him to lie down on the bed, he said, "My house has its own spirit, the spirit of the banyan tree. You can even talk to him."

Ophelia turned to look at Eleazar, "Really?"

"Heh, do you believe it?"

"Eh... You lying?"

"No."

They both fell asleep on a peaceful night. Eleazar really enjoyed every spark of strength in his body that was getting well-controlled.

Until that morning, it was a new day for Eleazar's life. New life with its life. Some of the message-sending birds came to Eleazar as he sat on his balcony.

Among the messages about his work, he found the message more disturbing his morning.

"Lusa is your wedding and celebration day, make sure you get ready before that day. From Elmer, your loyal friend" Eleazar instantly smashed the letter with his power to dust.

"I can't believe it... I've called my bride..." He muttered as he turned to find Ophelia coming to the room with a green tea Elmer gave her.

Ophelia stood in the doorway, her gaze fixed on Eleazar who was just staring at her. Eleazar was very confused when he saw Ophelia's smile there.

"Why are you always smiling?" Eleazar asked Ophelia and took a cup of green tea from Ophelia's hand.

"I'm just happy..."

Eleazar approached Ophelia and leaned against the doorway. He started pouring the woman's green tea, "Prepare and meet me in the back garden" the man said.

"For what?"

"I couldn't have let you be like this at our wedding, could I?" Eleazar said by grabbing the blanket that covered Ophelia's body, he was about to pull it but the woman immediately held it.

"B-but I don't have-"

The man bewitched his wardrobe to open, there full of Eleazar's clothes.

"The bathroom is behind you."

Ophelia kept turning around and realized there was a door behind her. He simply nodded then let Eleazar pass by while gently touching Ophelia's head.

The woman held her head and looked at Eleazar's large back, which had not long disappeared from the stairs. He smiled shyly and chuckled for a while, he rushed into the bathroom that was in front of him.

That morning was a new beginning for Eleazar and for Ophelia.
