Drrt.. Drrt...
Rain's forehead creased deeply, as he looked at the screen of the phone that displayed an unknown number contacting him.
"Hello?" sapana.
"Hi, Arsen. How are you?" ask the guy across there.
"Keano?"
"Frightly so."
"Don't call by that name. Just call me Rain." An unfriendly tone was heard from the man who received the phone call.
"What's your goal in approaching Airin?"
"What do you mean?"
"Don't beat around. I'm waiting at the restaurant near the apartment."
Pips.
Keano shuts down the connection first. Rain could only snort at the annoyance he made.
"Who?"
Rain was slightly aghast at the sound of the familiar woman from behind his back. A woman who was able to steal his attention when he first met.
"People aren't sane," Rain retorted, concisely dense, and ambiguous.
"There's just nothing." Airin chuckles. "Where can a crazy person play with a cell phone?"
"Of course there is. I witness. Oh, yeah, how's Zia doing? I'm sorry I left first, I didn't have time to look at Zia. There's something I need to do."
"Zia good. He even forced me to go to school. I told him to rest at home first. He likes it at will, like—" Airin hurriedly shut his mouth, before someone accidentally mentioned his name.
"Keano?"
The actual name Airin avoids is even called clearly by Rain. The woman with the brown iris just nodded.
"Don't lie about your feelings."
"Hey, what do you mean?"
"Unconsciously you always remember Zia's father, don't you? Correct me if I'm wrong."
"I-I just .... "
"No need to answer. I have a little business. I'll drop off the cafe for a second, okay?" Rain moved from his private room. Leaving Airin still busy with her own thoughts.
He only realized when Rain had already disappeared from before him.
"Where is he going?" muttered later.
Lunar Resto
Resto with a rustic feel it looks quite crowded. Among the visitors who were enjoying the meal, it appeared that two men were enjoying the conversation between them.
A serious face was clearly visible from one of them. While the interlocutor always stared leisurely.
"Say what do you want?" ask Rain to the point.
"Where's your phone?"
Keano was surprised by the vigilance of the man before him. The opponent in front could not be underestimated apparently. The phone is taken out from under the table in voice recorder mode.
Rain hinted to turn off Keano's phone, then put it on the table.
"Nobody cheats between us." Rain did the same. Then put the phone that had been turned off was in conjunction with Keano's.
"All right, let's repeat from the beginning." Keano snorted in annoyance as his initial plan was instantly discovered.
He intended to record his conversation with Rain. And use the tape as evidence that will be shown to Airin, if Rain has any other intentions on him.
"Please."
"What's your goal in approaching Airin?" Keano repeated his question on the phone.
"Nothing."
"You might be able to lie to Airin, but there's no point in doing that in front of me."
"I'm telling the truth. I just want to protect her."
"Because you love her?"
"Yes." Yeah."
Keano smiled lightly.
"Don't use the word love if it paves the way to straighten out your true foul intentions."
"I really like Airin. Even from the first day when I saw her."
"Don't lie!!" keano snapped furiously, denying Rain's utterance.
Rain stared straight at Keano's retina which pointed sharply at him. Eve began to emerge from both. It was as if the aura of the two of them was capable of killing even flies that perched on the table.
"One of the mafia members who planned the Airin family car accident ... Your dad, right?"
It's not unusual for Keano to know about his family. That's what makes Rain and Keano a mortal enemy. The reason Keano didn't know Rain from the beginning, was because Rain had only shown his current identity.
Since first setting foot in Gemilang High School, the two have indeed not gotten along because of an incident. Keano's hatred becomes more and more when he finds out, Rain is the son of a mafia member who became the mastermind behind the bankruptcy of his father's company.
So she had to marry Celia. After finding enough evidence to help with his uncle who is a police officer, Keano managed to subdue one of the perpetrators who is none other than Rain's father, Raymond Arsenio.
Raymond confessed all his crimes. Including sabotaging the car belonging to the Airin family at that time. But he did not divulge the identity of the client who had told his group. Also Raymond kept his mouth shut about the fact that Airin was their target.
Keano meets Rain in prison. With Rain still in incognito mode. At that time, Rain happened to be visiting his father, while Keano who had just come and had a chance to see the interaction between them, instantly guessing if his cupid upperclassman was the son of the one who had destroyed his father's company.
"You're right. But, I have nothing to do with my father's group. I'm not a part of them."
"I can't believe."
"I have no other intentions for Airin. I'm sincere to him." Rain began to move from his seat. There's no point arguing with Keano. He would not easily believe it, even though Rain was telling the truth even once.
"Stop! I'm not done with you yet" prevent Keano from standing, because Rain has already stepped away from there.
"Eh, Mum. Wait!"
A woman approached Keano with a run in shock. Seemed a tired look implied from his face that swept thin make up.
