Chasing Time

"Don't approach him!"

Regi turned his head with certainty, his gaze implying the firmness of no trepidation or fear emanating.

"You think you can take me that way? I know who you are, don't bother Alea anymore!" emphatically.

Look at them fighting, ushering in each other threats and challenges. Regi, a teenager of Alea's age bravely challenged the woman dressed in dancer's clothes. The same woman he saw the other day under a tree.

"Try me if you can. Just so you know, me and that girl are one. No one can imagine us including you!" He accused Regi with his index finger wrapped in a shawl.

"The jinn are the weakest creatures that God created. They can see, but they can't do anything they want. Unlike humans, they are given the desire and ability to achieve it. For that, you exploit human weakness to deceive others and to achieve your goals. Don't expect it to happen to me" Regi said without hesitation.

He recited the ta'awwudz reading, followed by Al-fatihah and continued with the verse of the chair. The woman under the cherry tree started to look agitated, but she pretended to be strong enough to withstand the attack that the teenager launched.

He severed his sight, a verse Regi read giving rise to a luminous chain rope wrapped around his two feet. The dancing woman began to panic, trying to move her body that was suddenly still riveted.

"What are you doing? Remember, I will not give up. I'll come back, look! You're just a smelly young man who doesn't know anything!" he snaps with wrath.

He laughed at length even though almost part of his legs were tied in chains, still the woman could laugh out loud. It was as if it was not a deadly threat to him.

"Woy! Why, the hell, did you see the cherry tree all the way? I'm rich to see aja," scolded Regi's friend who came suddenly while patting the teenager's shoulder.

The reading was broken, the chains that were shackled to the two women's legs were released. She stared intently at Regi, planning to avenge what the boy had done to her. Regi clucked, a little annoyed because their arrival was really disturbing.

"Eh, asked even dumbass. Why do you see such a rich cherry tree? You like trees, don't you?"

Once again the friend patted Regi on the shoulder, what they saw was only Regi who was silent in front of the cherry tree. They could not see the communication between Regi and the dancing woman. In their view, there was no one under the tree there. Only the leaves of the fruit were swayed in the wind and some fell.

"Eh, nothing, really. Only again nyari fruit aja fruit that is mateng and delicious to eat," said Regi turned his head while smiling awkwardly while embracing his shoulders.

Inviting him to leave the place followed by two others entering the gate of the dormitory. Regi turned around, looking at the position the woman was standing in. He is no longer seen.

"Regi, really, I was thinking about Lastri, yeah. Who's Lastri, anyway?" ask one of the friends as they walk towards the dorm garden.

Regi looked, he was as curious as he was.

"Maybe we can find something in the porous," said another.

As the name implies, the library must have kept all the news they wanted. How thought.

"Truly too, the tumben watered down the brain. Come on!" Regi is turning towards the library.

A building designed similar to the traditional Banten house typical of the Baduy tribe, Sulah Nyanda name, was deliberately built specifically for the library. The atmosphere in the library began to feel another, a cold wind blowing through their skin.

The location is between the dormitory of sons and daughters just like the classroom. It's just that, you have to pass through the dormitory park as well as the teacher's office. Behind the library, is a dormitory building for teachers.

Unlike the dormitories of students, dormitories for teachers are more like ordinary houses that are found. It looks like a modern residence with a minimalist style. Mango and rambutan trees become the barrier between the library and the dormitory.

"No need to take care of yourself!" Regi grunting.

Just like other libraries, inside the building lined shelves containing thousands of books neatly and cleanly. Not far from the entrance, there was a table and a chair where the guard was sitting waiting. He would smile kindly at a glance welcoming the students who came as well as showing the rules plastered on the wall worried they would forget.

Regi and friends nodded when a large and long ruler made of wood pointed at the rule board. They entered the library deeper. There were some students in it who were reading.

"What do we want to find here?"

"What, how do you know something has to do with that name," Regi replied as he looked through the books on the shelf.

The four men began to search for information, whatever they took. Open and read. That's all they do without knowing what they're really looking for.

"Ah, fuck! What do you want to look for?" jolt Regi while slamming the last book read into its original place.

The sound of the wooden ruler's sabetage made him stunned, he forgot where he was at the moment. Fearful Regi turned his head, and unfortunately the eagle gaze full of threats received from the perpus guard.

Regi smiled clumsily, nodding while cupping both hands in the chest. He returned to the row of books on the shelf scratching his head without itching, taking book after book, sheet by sheet to find information about the woman named Lastri.

"Reg, I don't think we're gonna find you here. How about we go out and ask the community? Who knows they can give us information" a friend suggested, patting the teenager on the shoulder.

Regi was stunned, thinking of all the possibilities. If it is not related to the dormitory, it could be related to the name of one of the locals.

"necessarily too. Yes already, we are out now there is still two hours," he said as he glanced at the clock on his wrist while walking out followed by another.

"Ekhem!"

Deheman's voice from the perpus guard stopped the four disciples who were about to reach the door. They looked confusedly, looking at the unfriendly figure in the building.

"Why, Mom?" ask Regi while linking the two ends of the eyebrows.

He did not answer, but raised the ruler of wood pointing to one of the rules in the library. The last rule is almost never seen by the students.

Borrow at least one book.

As the sound of the writing. Regi and friends looked up at each other, the guard's head movement being a follow-up order for them. Inevitably, they went back inside to pick up one book to borrow.

There is a price to be paid, amounting to ten thousand rupiah for each book borrowed. A quarter of the time was spent just that, not to mention having to travel a short distance from the perpus to the gate of the dormitory.

"There's no more time, we have to be fast!" umpat Regi while running in the front field of the class towards the main gate.

As if being chased by time, they raced towards the gate first.

"Where are you going?!"

The sound of pressure stopped their feet.
