Reincarnation of the Hero

Reincarnation of the Hero
Ch.146 - Unification

After Xiang Yang, Ming Tu and all the members of the Green Leaf Sect left, Han Shizu directly entered his room to see what was inside the dimension ring that Xiang Yang had given.

Han Shizu took out the item inside the dimension ring Xiang Han gave her. The girl found only three items, a jade that emitted a flash of lightning, a box and a sheet of notes.

Somehow Han Shizu felt something familiar within the jade with that lightning flash.

Han Shizu's gaze turned to the bronze box, he did not know what was inside the box but it was definitely something valuable.

A moment later, Han Shizu's gaze turned to a piece of paper. It must have been a paper containing the notes that Xiang Yang meant.

Han Shizu took the paper and read it.

After a few minutes of reading, Han Shizu finally found out about those 2 items.

The jade contained a Lightning Soul sealed within it. The Lightning Soul that Han Shizu had previously obtained from the Sacred River Pill was only one of the 5 Lightning Soul shards, and the Lightning Soul sealed within the jade was one of those shards.

Xiang Yang asked Han Shizu to absorb the Lightning Soul then combine it with the Lightning Soul within him, for his Lightning Soul to become much stronger. If it worked then Han Shizu would most likely be able to break through to the level of Nescent Soul.

As for the contents of the bronze box it was a pill that could strengthen the Lightning Soul.

Han Shizu was told to eat the pill if he had already managed to merge the two Lightning Souls.

Han Shizu put on a steadfast expression then took out a jade slip. Han Shizu channeled the power of the Lightning Soul into the jade, making the sealed Lightning Soul react.

A while later, the jade cracked, yet Han Shizu's expression did not change. All of what he had to do was contained in a note from Xiang Yang, so he already knew that the jade would react that way.

The crack on the jade was getting bigger, until it finally shattered.

*Roaadrrh...!!

Instantly the Lightning Soul came out letting out a loud roar. Lightning's soul floated before Han Shizu, staring at the girl, and vice versa.

Han Shizu unleashed the power of her Lightning Soul, until streams of lightning enveloped her body, she was intending to lure that Lightning Soul.

The Lightning's soul roared loudly before darting into Han Shizu's stomach.

*Bzzzttt...!!

The lightning flash that enveloped Han Shizu's body ferociously struck the surroundings, smashing the items inside her room.

Han Shizu started absorbing that Lightning Soul and carried out the process of unification. With the ferociousness of the energy from the Lightning Soul, Han Shizu still looked calm, indeed his body did not feel any ill effects, instead he felt his body feel comfortable.

Han Shizu began to feel the signs of breaking cultivation made him look serious, not wanting to fail to break through to the Nescent Soul level because it was Xiang Yang's hope.

Han Shizu did not want to disappoint Xiang Yang.

***

Never once did Wang Wu refuse the mission given to him, as well as his affection towards all the members of the Green Leaf Sect made him highly respected by everyone, not least the other elders and Ming Tu himself.

In an ambush mission, kidnapping Princess Ming Xue, Wang Wu along with 20 colleagues almost succeeded in that mission. If only a young man had not come to rescue Princess Ming Xue's entourage back then and killed dozens of his comrades.

It made Wang Wu hate that young man so much. Until one day, the young man instead came to the Green Leaf Sect with Ming Tu who was his master.

Naturally Wang Wu was eager to kill that young man named Xiang Yang, but was obstructed by Ming Tu, even that young man was protected by Ming Tu, besides Xiang Yang was also defended by Ming Tu, who was also being defended by him, it was as if Ming Tu had preferred that young man who was a stranger to him who had served for many years.

This made Wang Wu disappointed in his master.

Wang Wu shut himself up to calm his mind, but the shadows of his comrades being killed in Xiang Yang's hands always haunted him, as if the spirits of his comrades were asking to avenge them.

After a few days of shutting down, Wang Wu came out and toured the Sect. At every step he would definitely hear the name Xiang Yang mentioned, spoken of as if the young man was a hero.

Of course this made Wang Wu's hatred even greater and more widespread, not only limited to Xiang Yang but also to the Green Leaf Sect.

Xiang Yang was the assassin who had killed his comrades, yet why did they even admire and praise Xiang Yang like a hero.

Over time, Wang Wu's hatred grew bigger, yet he was able to hide it behind his usual friendly smile.

Wang Wu even received resources from Xiang Yang, thinking of strengthening himself before launching an act of revenge.

Wang Wu always tried to incite the disciples and elders to hate Xiang Yang, but to no avail. Their admiration for Xiang Yang had been too great.

Thinking no one could help him in the Green Leaf Sect, Wang Wu turned to the outside side.

Betraying! That's what Wang Wu did. Wang Wu now sided with the Ming Empire, which had been his enemy for several years, killing even more of his comrades than Xiang Yang.

Wang Wu's grudge against Xiang Yang was too great that he could not think clearly and became dark in the eyes.

While traveling towards the Purple Sky Sect, Wang Wu secretly left without the knowledge of the others, then went towards the Imperial Palace to report this.

Wang Wu thought that after attacking, Xiang Yang and the others would definitely weaken, so it would be easy to destroy them.

However Wang Wu did not estimate if all this time, what he was doing had been supervised by Xiang Yang.

Xiang Yang had already expected this to happen, a person like Wang Wu would not forgive himself so easily. Over time, the middle-aged man's hatred would definitely continue to be nurtured as he continued to see and hear himself being praised.

It could have been Xiang Yang directly killing Wang Wu, yet he had not done so, he was waiting for this moment to happen.

Since Wang Wu could not get help from within the sect, he would definitely seek outside help. And there was only one option: the Ming Empire was already in conflict with Ming Tu who was the leader of the rebel forces.

Xiang Yang had estimated everything, he was even sure that the Ming Empire troops Wang Wu was carrying would pass through this path because it was a secret path for their movements to be unknown.

That's why Xiang Yang brought Ming Tu's troops here to conduct an ambush.
