"I thought you were just rude to other people, but in fact you can also be rude to your friends." Ushijima who was walking next to Akashi could only glance, he himself was still thinking about Akashi's actions towards Aomine and Kagami when in the cafe.
Akashi simply opened the gate of the already deserted house and walked in without responding to Ushijima's words for a moment, then he kicked the pebble in front of him.
"Stop meddling, anyways I'm not doing anything. I only punished them for Push Up 100 times this time," Akashi said.
"That's because I provoked you, try if I don't come straight behind the cafe to provoke you. You've hit them and bruised their faces" Ushijima said of the incident at the cafe.
"And because of your provocation too, that's why I punished them." Akashi stopped as he looked up at Ushijima who was beside him, "Or rather because of Ushijima-San's presence, so they fought like that."
Ushijima laughed amusedly, "So, you blame me now? Your friends who just look weird, why also look at me half an hour and steal my Burger. In fact, the big body is busy eating and willfully complain to you, he said, not to mention the glasses who are even more expert in provoking you and the yellow hair and the short who instead mediate the quarrel was silent without moving a bit from his chair. Don't you realize that all your friends are so weird?" asked Ushijima while moving both hands around.
"No, they're not at all strange. It is you who is strange, Ushijima-San. Why do you have to criticize the weirdness of my friends when you have a friend like Satori Tendou who is much stranger, but you don't mind it at all or feel uncomfortable being around him? And even stranger, you wouldn't mind being around a mean person like me?" ask Akashi again as he walks away leaving Ushijima unable to return his words.
"Okay, you won Akashi. Can we make things right now?" tanyakanya.
"From the beginning I had no intention of hostile towards you, Ushijima-San.You're the one who complained about my friends."
"You're more annoying than thinking strategically to beat an opponent in Volleyball" lamented Ushijima who immediately chased Akashi's move. Akashi briefly smiled at a glance, before he finally showed his gloomy calm face when he found the existence of the father sitting on the guest sofa.
Ushijima and Akashi bowed to Masaomi, then greeted him at night in unison. Masaomi himself stood up and approached his two sons.
"You miss the family dinner and go home too late, next time don't repeat." Masaomi patted the shoulders of his two sons with both hands.
"Okay, Masaomi-San. Forgive us" said Ushijima, who tried to be polite to Masaomi.
Masaomi smiled, "Yes, you can go back to the room and get ready for bed. Tomorrow you also have to go to school and practice Volleyball."
Ushijima said nothing, but his legs did not move as if he was waiting for Akashi. The awakening Masaomi immediately told Ushijima, "You go first, son. There's something you need to talk to your sister about, Papa" tell Masaomi.
"Well," Ushijima's response went away, though she was worried that Akashi would get his punishment from her father. Hence, Ushijima chose to wait in front of Akashi's room until his sister returned. And so worried, he got to belain standing in front of the door with a leaning position until almost asleep there.
Meanwhile, Masaomi hints for Akashi to follow him on his way to the study. And there, Masaomi stops smiling and starts giving Akashi some form.
"Lately you've been skipping family dinners, Akashi."
"I'm sorry, Pa. I have to take care of some important things" Akashi said.
"What is important that makes you have to drag on to leave basketball practice and study lessons, language lessons and music lessons, and your study time?" ask Masaomi.
"I'm sorry, I promise I won't do it again.I won't waste my time on useless things and mess up my precious time for study and practice." Akashi looks calm, he seems accustomed to being in this atmosphere and it seems common to always apologize to the father rather than giving an explanation to defend himself.
"It's good that you understand your position" said Masaomi, who began to lower his anger, as if he had no intention of listening to his son's reasons at all. Not even forcing his son to defend himself once in a while, but it has been almost a few weeks that Akashi has had to fight himself to be able to bounce back from feelings of disintegration and distrust.
And calmly, he changed the topic while pointing to the Form that was in Akashi's hands.
Obviously Akashi seemed dumbfounded to listen to him, "If Papa wanted me to participate in a math competition, science or related to subjects anyway I could and did not mind, but why did Papa even tell me to take part in a kayak gini competition?" ask Akashi.
"Papa had just been invited to Papa's co-worker's event, they were excited to talk about Papa's co-worker's son who managed to become the champion of the competition in succession. And Papa wants you to beat him this year, "tell Masaomi about his intentions.
"You are Akashi Seijuro, my most perfect son and never afraid to master various fields. So, Papa thinks you can win this competition for the good name of our family." Masaomi walked over to Akashi's photos of the baby plastered all over the walls of his study.
"What if I win? Is there any advantage to me, Pa?" ask Akashi.
"Yes, if you win both competitions. You will allow me to become a basketball athlete, you will also allow me to enter National selection training as the Japan Basketball national team. Anyway, I don't think there's any harm in an heir to wealth and successor to my entire company having a side career as an athlete."
"Then, what if I lose? Are you going to punish me?" asked Akashi who did not immediately celebrate the long-awaited gift.
"I'm going to exile you abroad and study there, until you make amends for your humiliating mistakes." Masaomi glanced sharply at his son.
"Pa, can I ask you something?" tanya Akashi who replied nod by Masaomi.
"No, I think we've had enough of our conversation today. I'll study harder to keep up with your request, Pa. Good evening" he said, leaving Masaomi's office at the time. Although in fact he still has doubts that he has long harbored since childhood.
With both forms still in his grasp, he dazedly walked towards the room. Akashi had no idea that Ushijima was waiting for him in front of the room, until Akashi's footsteps woke Ushijima and Akashi began to wake up from his daydream when Ushijima pulled the form paper in Akashi's hand.
"What's this?" asked Ushijima who was reluctant to read the contents of the form and just flipped through it.
"What are you doing in front of my room, Ushijima-san?" ask back Akashi.
"I just want to borrow your book, you know that I'm in third grade now and I have to re-learn first grade books to prepare for the exam." Ushijima tried to make excuses to cover up his worries.
"Where have you been yourself? Did your father punish you earlier? I mean I don't care at all if you're punished, but it's not fair that you're the one who got punished when I missed family dinner, too."
"You really aren't good at lying, Ushijima-San." Akashi shook his head, then he pulled the Form Paper back from Ushijima's hand without explaining anything about his conversation with his father.
Until it was terbesit in his mind to ask something that he had been harboring to Ushijima, let alone he had heard about Ushijima's background before.
"Ushijima-san, I want to ask you something. I hope you know the answer" said Akashi, who was a bit pushy.
"What's that?" asked Ushijima who seemed to be diverted from the Form paper that Akashi was holding.
