4.5 "Star Tournament (end)"

Everyone was talking about the Star Tournament finals. It was no surprise that a Star Knight was able to enter the final, let alone this was "Leonard" who was the "second seat" of the Star Knight.

Yet surprisingly there was an Adventurer from the Adventurer Guild going into the final, let alone the top 16 had defeated two powerful Star Knights.

The name of this young man was "Shiki", as fast as the wind and as strong as a storm! For the first time in 30 years, the Adventurers Guild made it to the finals!

...

In the place of the Adventurers, Shiki gets a message from Silva. "This will be the fight of "your skills", the two strongest black blades and the strongest sword."

"Shiki, Leonard will probably compensate for your speed and ability, even he can exceed it. And yet you are you.I'm sure you have many ways to defeat him." Silva patted Shiki on the shoulder.

"Wahahaha.it's true! Argha! My chest pain!" Warren's in pain, he's in a wheelchair.

Vira was astonished; "Don't get too excited."

"Revenge me, Shiki!" Dion told me that. "Defeat that cool ass!"

Shiki smiled, nodding in understanding. "I'll do it, win this tournament by defeating "the strongest"...!"

Shiki and Leonard enter the Star Arena. The sound of applause was heard. The royal nobleman who gave the trophy later was "Duke Robert Stardust", the head of the Stardust family.

Duke Robert gave a speech before the start of the fight between Shiki and Leonard.

"I won't be at length because I know how much you're looking forward to this final, so I'll just say this." said the old man; "Winning is the best, the loser must not be discouraged!"

Everyone applauded and Duke Robert said again; "Let's just start, the final of the 50th Star Tournament...!!!!"

As the voices of all the spectators reverberated, these two fighters took out their weapons. A blue sword was quite large and two black blade blades were shown by the two of them.

"The name of this sword is "Durandal" and this will lead me to victory...!" leonard introduced his sword.

"Hassaikai.meaning the "Eight Commandments", this is a black blade forged by the Haruna clan...! Blessed by the fairies!" said Shiki also introduced the two knife blades. "The two blades that have brought me many victories!"

"Just you!!" They both attacked, shot and clashed violently there.

Shiki and Leonard were fighting, admiration and serious faces were shown by everyone watching.

They were both balanced, their fighting abilities. From their physical abilities as well as their instincts balanced, Shiki relied on speed, and Leonard had known from the very beginning he had seen Shiki fight.

(Both of his eyes that became red gems emitted a strange magical energy.!) thought Leonard.

Leonard recalled after Shiki said "endowed by the fairies. The fairies are mythical creatures, said to have originated in Eden. They are small, winged and have red eyes like jewels. Leonard knew about the fairies from the story books he had read.

"So apparently..the eye has the same color as the eyes of the fairies.." said Leonard while clashing with Shiki, who was quite surprised to hear that; "The eyes of the fairies?"

They clashed fiercely while talking, Leonard answered Shiki's question. "Really... You know about fairies, you mentioned that name."

"A plain little creature that has unusual magical energy. It was said they were the exact opposite of the Abyss Monsters!" Leonard makes Shiki bounce, but still able to stand;

"That's the fairies...!"

"You know more than I do, you know. In my hometown, fairies only appear in some children's stories..." Shiki said to Leonard.

"So you think my magic eye is "the eyes of the fairies" huh... That's a good guess!" Shiki uses High Sharpening on both blades of his knife.

Leonard prepared, took the horses and sped. Each Leonard attack is now dominant on Shiki who is able to fend off each attack of the red-haired man.

(Speed increases! Even the swing of his sword was getting stronger!) thought Shiki was in disbelief, he was dominated by Leonard in a melee attack right now.

(But both of my eyes can see all of his attacks, which is why I can still defend against him!) Shiki swung both of his knives with all his might, Leonard was quite surprised earlier, it ended his quick attack.

Shiki was now darting, he was faster and stronger, dominant than Leonard who was able to fend off and read all the directions of his attack.

However Leonard and Shiki, they were both equally excited. Makes them both balanced, equally strong.

And then... TRANGS! The violent clash left both of them thrown.

Everyone could only gape at their clashes. Two incredible fighters, it's the best final in years.

A fierce fight in the final to the 50 Star Tournament. Dueling between Shiki of the Adventurers Guild against Leonard of the Star Knights in the second seat, they balanced and made the audience cheer each other on the names of the two fighters they supported.

"Govie! Shiki! Shiki! Shiki!"

"Sir Leonard! Sir Leonard! Sir Leonard! Sir Leonard!"

"Well, this is the first time I've heard this big name cheer." Shiki commented while standing up again, and so did Leonard, then Shiki said again with a happy smile; "That's why I shouldn't let them down."

"Hmmm! Right...!" Leonard agrees with Shiki, he also smiles; "That's what it's like when you're a "Hero", Shiki. I was the second chair, I often received such compliments from them."

"Hero...? It doesn't suit me." Shiki prepared, and would bring out one of his strongest skills; "Because I'd rather be remembered as an "Adventurer"...!"

Leonard takes the horses along with Shiki using his strongest magic, a Buff that he will use for the first time.

Meanwhile, at the coliseum; "Sir Leonard Redstone; 28 years old and he is the second-seat Star Knight, the only son of the knight family, the Redstone family" Vira said, he's got info on Leonard. "I just heard the name Redstone... Chief?"

"Yes, it was the surname of knights in 5 generations, yet they always hid their last name..." Silva told me what he knew about Leonard; "You could say they were a normal knight's family, and Leonard was an exception because it was "unnormal", then only he showed their surnames."

"That anti-magic sword, I also saw it for the first time. So most likely only Leonard who was the fifth generation of their family used that sword." Silva said again.

"That's it." Warren understands. "It seems they both have a clear similarity, yes... Born strong in a "normal family"..."

Silva smiled at that. "I think you're right." Although Warren does not know Shiki's past and can not call it comes from a normal family.

All the audience is shocked, Shiki releases the magical energy of the "Manna Burst" wind into the surroundings. "Maximal Tempest!'

"Impossible...!" Silva was shocked, Dion was also more incredulous; "He can also suck Buff..."

Tempest Maximal is a stronger version of "Tempest" buff magic and makes the speed and agility of its user as light and as fast as the wind, but Maximal is much stronger.

Despite that swift attack, with both of his magic eyes he was able to fend off Leonard's attack. Not only the first attack, several times Leonard's attacks were repelled by Shiki. Leonard's speed had been many times, but Shiki was able to "see" all the directions of Leonard's attack.

(Ggh! My leg hurts..!) leonard thought, this is the powerful effect of Tempest Maximal.

Leonard came from behind Shiki, unsheathed quickly and Shiki repelled with both of his black blades until they were thrown.

Shiki woke up again, she had no other choice. If Leonard continues at this pace, then he will lose.

"If I use Tempest Maximal again, will you suck it again?"

"certain. That's a free action, Shiki. But I won't use it even if I can because this Buff keeps charging my body. So I'm just gonna "eat it" and become my magical energy nutrient." Leonard answered that.

Shiki understood Durandal's anti-magic sword ability now. It's up to Leonard to use it or not after being sucked.

"I have no other way.I cannot win if I do not match your speed. So I'm gonna do it again... Maximal Tempest!" Shiki unleashed yet another of her strongest buff magic.

Leonard also uses it, Buff's magic that he took from Shiki. (He's not sucking on it now, which means he'll do it when we clash!) thought Shiki saw Leonard darting at her.

The two clashed with swords and two black blade blades. Leonard sees a slit to suck Buff Shiki's magic, but...

(No reaction!) Leonard was shocked. Rackham who was watching was also shocked. (Why can..?)

"(La~ la~ la~ la~)" the voice of the people singing in Shiki's head is heard; (la~ la~ la~ la~ la~)

(Whose voice...? They filled my head.but.) Shiki thought, she felt an unusual magical energy flowing throughout her body along with her wind element magical energy.

"Because!" Shiki stabbed Leonard in the shoulder with a knife, stabbing him not deeply but wounding him and retreating directly to the back.

"Damn it..." Leonard held onto his aching shoulder. "I'm a little off guard..."

Both are equally exhausted, they both use the magical energy of the wind element "Tempest Maximal" as their buff. Make their fight so fast and windy strong.

Both of them knew that they had to end this fight as soon as possible. That was why they prepared, the horses fought with swords and dual blades of black blades.

"This is an attack******.." said Duke Robert; "Whoever is the fastest..."

(He will win!) Shiki and Leonard thought together, smiling.

Shiki and Leonard will complain of the attack, who is fast he will win in two attacks***** this. The two also used "Tempest Maximal" strong wind element buff magic, making Leonard who had above normal physique alone feel pain in his body.

(This buff should I take off after this! That means, I must defeat Shiki in this attack!) thought Leonard.

Both took a swing and darted. "Gust!" Shiki adds a wind thrower to his leg, the original Tempest Maximal already has it, but Shiki adds "Gust" again and makes it faster than Leonard.

Leonard knew the trick, he took off his sword swing first, and Shiki read that by fending it off with "Slicing Wind!"

"!!?" Leonard was surprised by the super-fast movement earlier; (Only a split second!)

Shiki then slashed at Leonard as he was shocked by a single slash of his black blade. The second slash of the blade in his left hand and formed an X there.

"Gah!!" Leonard is still holding on; (I haven't lost!!)

(He hasn't lost.!) Shiki knew that, and was impressed.

Shiki performs the Highest Sharpening, then stabs Leonard in the left abdomen. Shiki darted before Leonard swung his sword, darted forward and gave the man an even greater "X" slash.

"Highest Time! The Evening Sky Lightning!"

"GAGH!" Leonard spewed blood, and the winner was already determined...!

"OOOH!!" Everyone cheered; "Shiki from the Adventurers Guild is the winner!!!!"

"Great! It's great!" Duke Robert Stardust applauded.

William just sat down and crossed his arms in silence. He never thought Leonard would lose, but he would do nothing with this defeat because their fight was so fierce.

"What do you think of this defeat, Sir Rackham?! Sir Leonard is defeated!" Benzu asked the middle-aged man.

"Yes, it's surprising. But the Adventurer was better at understanding the power Leonard was doing because it was his magic. Maybe Leonard's fault was in him pushing himself too hard and getting carried away to win." Rackham answered that.

(But the Adventurer, if he does not have both eyes of magic... No, it was fate that chose it could use those eyes.) thought Rackham, crossing his arms.

Leonard sprawled, cheering voices supporting him and clapping for him. Shiki looks at Leonard, not surprised he is still unconscious and Leonard asks Shiki something; he;

"You're not happy with this win... Shiki?"

"I'm happy, but not that I'm unhappy, I haven't felt the thrill of fighting like this in a long time..." Shiki smiled, she gave her hand to Leonard;

"It's good to fight you, Knight Leonard. Let's do it again in two years."

Leonard grabbed Shiki's hand and smiled. "Yes, and we will fight again in the finals of the Star Tournament like this later, Adventurer Shiki! The rival!"
