Chapter 13: Tatsumaki

POV 3rd

Headquarters of the Hero Association (City A)

"Commander .. report ..." The bespectacled man proceeded to declare his report with a pale face.

"Hnn, Continue..." The commander nodded.

"Class S Rank 2... The Tornado of Terror has been defeated..." The glasses man stated in his report.

The Commander's face turned ugly.

"WHAT! YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?!" Commander shouting.

"This is the footage we got from the fight between the Tornado of Terror and The Trio of Nightmare, sir..." The bespectacled man proceeded to play the video on the big screen in front of them.

At first, everyone was fine looking at the video. They saw how the Nightmare Trio had difficulty defeating Tatsumaki even though they were Dragon-leveled.

With that, now they were certain, S Class Rank 2 was not just a name.

But all that changed after the arrival of the Dark Monarch out of nowhere...

He then fired a punch. The punch was enough to make Tatsumaki lose his consciousness in just seconds.

"In one. punch..." The glasses lady spoke with a low tone and a pale face.

"Although, the blows from other Dragon-leveled monsters were not that effective..." Some random guy talking.

"The record is only for this many sir. We lost contact with our drone after the blow the Dark Monarch gave" The glasses man ended his report and waited for an order from his Commandery.

Everyone present would not dare to say a word from their mouths.

After a few minutes passed, the Commander finally spoke up.

"Call every S Rank hero to a meeting. And tell me it's an emergency, now..." The commander declared his order.

"Ready Sir!" All his men answered.

"We can't lose the Tornado of Terror no matter what!" The commander frowned.

Inside some randomly abandoned houses.

Tatsumaki woke up from his sleep. While looking at the unfamiliar ceiling he had never seen before.

He quickly sat up from his sleeping position and started to look around the room but found no one.

He then sighed.

"Ah... Tatsumaki. You're awake..." Rena wakes up next to Tatsumaki. Still rubbing his eyes.

A/N: Here Rena is in human form with casual clothing.

"Morning" Then he yawns.

Tatsumaki immediately jumped from his position.

"Who are you!" Tatsumaki asked with a puzzled face while pointing at Rena with his finger.

"You confused? It's funny..." Rena tilted her face and smiled.

"YOU!!" Tatsumaki frowned.

"Relax, Tatsumaki. I just saved you, you know..." Rena speaking.

'Even though I did it' His mind spoke.

"Huh?! Saving me? What" He immediately remembered about the incident before he lost consciousness.

"..."

He immediately fell to his knees. 

"Tatsumaki's? what's up?" ask Rena.

"I.. lose.. from monsters..." Tatsumaki spoke in a low tone while his face lowered.

"Tatsumaki?" Rena was still waiting for Tatsumaki's answer but, no one came.

"Even after losing a fight... I was saved by random civilians.how miserable I am..." Tatsumaki. Still with low tone.

'Hm... Influence of self-esteem. huh.. this is not good...' Rena contemplating. Then continue, then,

'I thought that was when Tatsumaki was 10? that he was saved by Blast. And Blast went on to say something to her. Therefore, she became more independent but more stubborn at the same time' Rena thought speaking.

"It's over. I failed. as a hero..." The light began to disappear from Tatsumaki's eyes.

'Yes, this is not good' Rena thought.

"Tatsumaki!!" Rena immediately put her hand on Tatsumaki's cheek and turned her face to Rena's face.

"what if you want to laugh..." Tatsumaki avoided Rena's gaze.

"No, I won't laugh" Rena said frankly.

"I'm a Grade S Rank 2 Hero who just lost to a monster in one hit..." Tears began to flow from his eyes.

"Laughter if you want..." Tears did not seem to stop flowing from Tatsumaki's eyes.

"Tatsumaki listened, i-" Rena tried to speak but was cut off.

"why don't you just leave me alone then... A... I'D RATHER DIE AT THE MONSTER'S HANDS THAN BE SAVED BY YOU-"

*SCAP*

Tatsumaki was suddenly cut off by Rena's slap.

"Bold-" Tatsumaki instantly stopped his conversation with a sudden hug from Rena.

"Eh..." Tatsumaki.

"Tatsumaki.. Can you stop talking and listen to me for a second?" Rena spoke while hugging Tatsumaki.

"..." - ".No answer came out of Tatsumaki's mouth.

"Do you. I. actually, like you..." Rena spoke in a low tone.

Tatsumaki immediately jumped a little to hear the words of Rena.

"That's why.. when you say you better die, it ... it hurts me.. you know ..." Tears began to flow from Rena's eyes.

"Tatsumaki's... I don't care if you become too stubborn or anything but PLEASE!..." Rena raised her voice.

"Please... Tatsumaki.. don't.. die...*hik*" Rena tightens her arms.

"But. the world and the association of heroes will-" Tatsumaki tried to speak.

"WHO ARE THEY? WHO ARE THEY FOR YOU? Tatsumaki.. don't forget..Someone will be there for you, someone is still waiting for you, and don't forget... it is one of them..." Rena spoke with tears and a smile on her face.

Tatsumaki was still dumbfounded.

"If you lose a fight, be stronger and win the next fight. What's wrong with losing a fight or two..." Rena speaking.

"A failure like me is still worth living..." Tatsumaki spoke in a low tone.

"Who said you failed, In my eyes, you are still a great person you know" Rena brought her face to Tatsumaki's front and smiled.

Tatsumaki's eyes sparkle.

"Ah, you finally stopped crying" Rena giggled.

"..." - ".Tatsumaki became silent.

Tatsumaki suddenly brought his head to Rena's chest and hugged her. Rena immediately patted Tatsumaki on the head and closed her eyes.

"Come, calm down .. everything will be fine ..." Rena spoke while smiling.

"Can....we stay like this.... a minute?..." Tatsumaki spoke in a low tone.

"When.." answered Rena. Still closing his eyes.

After 5 minutes, Tatsumaki released his grip on Rena's body.

"Are you calm?" Rena asked while laughing.

"Thank you.for you..." Tatsumaki replied with a smile. Then he went to the exit.

“Ah, i... do not know yet.your name..what is your name..” asked Tatsumaki while blushing.

"Due... Amanozako, Rena. Please call me Rena" replied Rena.

"Rena...is this your home?" Tatsumaki asked while looking around the room.

'No, I just carelessly walked into the house' Rena thought.

"Yes, it's not usually here but, yes, it's my home" Rena replied.

"Good, Rena... Can I come... and play... sometimes?..." Tatsumaki spoke while blushing.avoiding Rena's gaze.

'IMMUTE!' think Rena.

"Sure!" Rena releases a wide grin.

Tatsumaki immediately smiled.

"Then until we meet..." Tatsumaki spoke and then closed the door.

"Byee~" Rena waved her hand.

'Couldn't believe I just expressed my feelings to her.' Rena's inner voice spoke while still waving her hand.

"Wait... DID I CONFESS TO HER?!!" Rena shouted while covering her face with her hands.
