Yudi goes to the police station in connection with the arrest of Priska and Ridwan. He was contacted by police to be questioned about Priska. Not only Yudi but Bardi was also called to be a witness.
The two are now sitting together undergoing an examination. Yudi told me everything he knew. And so is Bardi. He also handed over the footage he took while at Ridwan's house as one of the evidence for the case.
" Thank you brother Yudi and Bardi. I hope there is more evidence to strengthen it. This accident case has been a long time, I'm afraid it will just evaporate."
Yudi nodded in understanding. Apparently he had to look for evidence of surveillance footage to prove Priska's crime. Although the woman uses others as executors, her brain is still her. Yudi did not want Priska to come off easily.
" Sir, can I see the woman? There are a few more that I need to confirm" Yudi told the police.
Yudi was escorted to the cell where Priska was detained. The woman who was usually always beautiful now looks so messy.
Priska smiled as Yudi met her. He thought Yudi would get him out of that cold place.
" Mum, are you coming? You're gonna get me out, aren't you?"
Yudi smiled cynically. Really he was so sick of the face made for his Priska.
" I want to ask, what did you say to Melati when my wife visited you?"
Hearing Yudi mention the word wife to the dead woman made Priska's blood boil. He really did not like Yudi to say that.
" Heh base naive. The dead woman you still remember."
Yudi was really upset by Priska's words. It felt like he wanted to scrape the woman's mouth right now.
" Huft, I asked again. What did you say to Melati when she visited your house. Say!!"
" I didn't say anything. I'm just saying you seduced me and forced me. I also said that I didn't know that you were married. I also said that I just found out that you had a wife not long ago and you wouldn't let us meet you in town for fear that your wife would find out."
Yudi clenched his hands tightly. His face was flushed with anger. It was only fitting that Melati would not meet him at the last moment of her life. It turned out that Priska's speech made Melati behave like that.
" Wicked you're Pris. You're a really bad woman. How could you possibly hurt a fellow woman with that slander of yours. Are you really Pris' woman. You deserve to be called the demon Pris. I'm really sorry I ever lived with you I hope Reni grows up well, and doesn't look like her mom ?"
" I don't care! All I care about is you. Only thou. I really love you mas Yudi. Really."
" Your love is hell for me Pris! Rot you in this place. As soon as you repent you're a bad woman."
Yudi breezed away. Leaving behind Priska who was still shouting calling out her name. The man was stunned, his tears instantly bursting unstoppable. He was completely inexhaustible with Priska's way of thinking. Why did he really do that slander.
" Is your master okay?"
" Yes, I'm fine. Thanks Bardi you've helped a lot."
" It's okay, sir. This is part of my guilt. I feel partly responsible for what happened in the master's family."
Yudi nodded. He thought for a moment, how a good person like Bardi could bond with Priska. You can even have Reni. But Yudi did not want to dig deeper. That's none of his business.
Both men were out of the police station at the same time. They separated in the parking lot and headed to their destination. Bardi was about to return to receive the order and Yudi, he would come to a place.
Yudi drove his car as fast as possible so that he could get to the destination immediately. Yudi wants to visit Melati. He wanted to visit the navel of his beloved wife who went to bring misunderstanding.
Yudi bowed lethargic beside the wife's navel. Even now she is back crying. But he quickly wiped his tears. He did not want to wet his wife's grave with his tears. Yudi also rubbed Melati's headstone.
" Dear Assalamualaikum, I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. Suppose I told you earlier. Yes Allaah Mel why so soon you left me. Mel, do you know what? Hasna our daughter is married. On her wedding day she was so beautiful, just like you were. If time can turn back I don't want to be with you so you can be in this world longer. All this because of me. I'm sorry Mel, I'm really sorry."
Yudi continued to say his regretful words. Although it is useless because the dead will never live again, but Yudi still did it. At least now he knows why his late wife did not want to see him at the last moment of his life.
" Well Mel, apparently I have to go home first. Do you know honey at home is so quiet. I really miss you being home. I miss your cooking, I miss your smile. I miss everything that has to do with you. I go home first Mel, I'll be here again later. Assalamualaikum darling."
Yudi kissed Melati's headstone for a moment before she actually left the funeral.
It feels so hard to get out of there. Yudi really wanted to take longer, but he couldn't do it. So much work takes up so much time. Usually every Thursday Yudi will visit the tomb of Melati, but some time he only visited once every two weeks.
Again now, he must find evidence of Priska's involvement with Melati's accident. He will not allow Priska to be punished lightly. But where will Yudi look? Until he remembered a name.
" Yes, that guy can help me. I'm certain. It's okay to spend more money. But you can prove Priska's crime in court."
Yudi walked away from the funeral. He got into his car and drove away from the public cemetery.
After Yudi really went there was someone in Muslim clothing approaching the tomb of Melati. He brought a bouquet of sunflowers, Jasmine's favorite flower and placed it on top of the navel. He also squatted next to the tomb. His wide hijab that touched the ground was not too he noticed. He opened his sunglasses and put them in his bag.
" How are you? Sorry long time no see you. I brought you your favorite flowers."
