The Heiress Of The Legendary Family [S1]
Their Memory

"Hey...." Casilda called, but the person called did not answer. "Why are you quiet, anyway?" The man remained unanswered, making Casilda a little annoyed.

The sapphire-haired girl sighed. "Yeahhh.... What's the matter with you, Charles? Why is that, huh?" hernia.

The person who had been silent—Charles—pun did not answer. The man was busy turning his face the other way, avoiding Casilda's gaze.

The girl ruffled her hair in frustration. Why is this sister, anyway? Gaje. Tumben's kind of tilted his brain.

"What's the matter, huh? Don't fuckin' gaje." Charles was silent. "You don't want to say, I won't eat for you anymore" Casilda threatened.

Charles looked at him immediately. "Don't!! I can die if I don't eat Brother's cooking even once!!!" whining.

Casilda looked at her sister with a flat face full of frustration. "Eat it, say, dong. What's the matter with you, anyway?"

".....I'm sad.." - Charles, who can still be heard by Casilda.

"Huh?"

"Why didn't Big Brother invite me to come here?! Whyaa?!" Charles was crying bombay. It looks so ridiculous now.

"Huh?" parrot Casilda again.

"I thought Brother loved me so much, that Brother would take me everywhere. But apparently, my brother left me. Why, Brother? Why?!" Charles was crying bombay.

Casilda sweatsdrop in place. 'Just like that? Bener-bener absurd.'

"Didn't you love me anymore? Why, Brother? Why?" asked Charles who seemed to be trying to practice drama.

Casilda patted her own forehead, feeling distressed by the absurdity of this sister. "Gini, you know. I don't love you, I love you. I-i just...... Don't want you to do anything." muttered Casilda at the end of the sentence while scratching the back of her head.

"Eh?" Charles blinked his eyes, making him look very cute. "Y-who really?" ask her doubtfully.

"Yes, really" nodded Casilda. 'Akwbdkelslwjdsj!! Imoed!!!'

"that, huh? Mercifully... I thought you didn't love me anymore, but it turned out that you were so worried about me..." Charles said with relief. "By the way, thank you, Brother! I love you too, Brother!!"

A very dazzling light emanated clearly from the face of Charles who was very beautiful, making him even more charming. His smile which he very rarely showed was what made his smile even more memorable.

'Lord.... Why do you shine on me with your light?'—Casilda.

"Sister? Brother why? Is Brother not feeling well?" charles asked worriedly, it was clearly visible on his face.

Charles' question made Casilda flinch a little and her consciousness returned to her body. "Huh? Whahuh? What's?"

"Sister looks dazed. Is Brother okay?" ask Charles to come back.

"Huh? Oh, no, really. Calm down" replied the brother who was still a bit absentminded.

"Well, thank goodness..." Charles breathed a sigh of relief.

Without replying to her sister, Casilda turned to her right and left. Bodies everywhere and blood splattered everywhere. Casilda then remembered, Charles had just killed the corpses that were in front of him.

"Anu, Brother.. Ii'm sorry.... Because of my mistake, Big Brother can't extract information about their evil deeds. I'm sorry.." - Charles glumly, making her look very cute.

'Imoed beud, hell!! Yepya!!!' squealed Casilda in the heart. Realizing from his overly random thoughts, Casilda shook her head to dispel those thoughts. "No problem, Charles. I told you to kill them. Besides, I can still extract information from them, anyway."

"Eh? How's it?"

"Look, look really, yeah." The girl from the Sapphire Clan raised her hand—which was above the head of Young Master Peridot—to the chest height. "[Atom: Memory Reflection]!"

Light particles emerged from the bodies of the corpses and floated in the air. Slowly, the particles merge into a screen that resembles a 2D hologram featuring multiple scene designs accompanied by sound.

"Hey, why do we have to carry these piles of sacks anyway?" ask someone else.

"Where I know. Never mind, rather than keep asking, we better get on with our work immediately so we can earn money faster." His friend walked even faster, leaving him standing— while carrying a sack— alone there.

The two men walked together. There was only silence between them. The two men were wearing the same clothes, black maid uniforms and white shirts.

They were both servants of Kediman Peridot. I don't know why they were given a task to carry some strange sacks that are quite a lot.

The sacks are small and fairly easy to lift. It was a burlap sack ordered by the Chief Servant of the Peridot Residence to be transferred into the residence. I don't know what the purpose is.

Suddenly the sack carried by one of them moved by himself. The sudden movement of the sack made the person holding it startle to drop it to the ground unknowingly.

BRUKK

Uhh!!

The person carrying the sack just now gritted his brows in surprise. Why is there such a strange sound in the sack? His voice was familiar to his ears.

"Hey, what are you doing? C'mon fast! We have to take these sacks to the Chief Servant!" scold his friend who was far ahead of him.

The man did not at all reprimand his friend. He curiously approached the gunny sack and opened it.

"W-WHAT'S THIS?!" A surprised screeches he just uttered when he saw a girl in the sack he was carrying earlier.

The girl has pale green hair that tends to be similar to light gray. His eyes were pitch-black, as if he had lived a heartbreaking life until no more light was emitted from his eyes.

The girl's tears broke, she was crying. His gagged mouth let out a small stuffing. He wanted to scream, but he couldn't. He wanted to escape, but he couldn't. He wanted to die to end this suffering, but he couldn't.

"What are you doing here, New Servant?"

"AH!! THE BUTLER?!" The one who brought the sack was a new servant in the Peridot House. He seemed surprised by the sudden appearance of the Chief Servant behind him with a flat face.

"What are you doing here? Why do you just stay here without working at all? Why did you see that boy?" ask the Chief Servant in succession.

"La-anu... Sa-i....." The new waiter was nervous, not knowing what to answer. Moreover, the gaze of the Chief Servant who was too creepy made her guts squeak for a moment.

".....I-i understand. You're surprised because the sack you're carrying suddenly moves on its own, right? Then, you opened it out of curiosity, and you saw all this. Are my words true?" guess the Chief Servant exactly.

The new waiter cengoed for a moment. Then he nodded quickly. "Where do you know?" tanyakanya.

"Just guessing" the Servant Chief replied in a nonchalant. Afterwards he approached the girl who was still curled up on the ground with a small sobbing. His hand he used to carry the girl was a sack of rice. "There's no time. We have to face Mr. Peridot immediately before it's too late."

"E-uh? Why?"

"Because this child I brought in is so important for research purposes" replied the Chief Servant without looking back in the least.

"....Research?" ask the New Servant once more.

"Yes, right. It was a research that———"

"That!! Damnit damnit!! Why did their memories only stop here?!" upset Charles while ruffling his hair. In fact, a little more he and his brother can find out what people are talking about in that memory.

'The research?' thought Casilda while putting her hand on her chin. 'What research is that? And also, why did his memory only get here?' His eyes looked at the corpses in front of him, until he found something.

"ah! This is the cause!" casilda said as she pointed at something she found.

"What is it, Brother?" asked Charles who also saw something that Casilda pointed at.

"It was a forbidden rune that could make one's memories disappear if that person died. This is the reason why we don't see the next memory" explained Casilda.

"Curtain!! Shit!!" charles with annoyance.

'The thing is, the person who can activate the forbidden rune is almost no more. Except those who have access to it. And the only ones with access were the Main Family as well as the imperial family.' Casilda thought again.

'Are you guys the masterminds of this anonymous research, Emerald?'

TBC.
