17. Treating Wounds

Derrick regained his senses from his daydream when he heard the sound of a chair rubbing against the floor, Derrick shaking his head quickly dispelled all those bad memories from his mind.

He really did not want to remember all the bad circumstances, everything made his chest feel tight with breath felt hard to exhale.

It had already been considered a terrifying nightmare, and he had now woken up from that dream. He promised in his heart that if he wanted to go see someone he would actually see and remember the place in great detail so that this bad event would not happen again.

Derrick did not want the same incident to happen again, he was already afraid and really very afraid to repeat the incident again. Luckily there was a black rose, otherwise it was possible that now he only had a name and a tombstone.

Derrick felt the fur on his back standing, the deaths of those people still remembered the soot in his mind. What kind of people are lying on the ground with gunshot wounds to the head.

He even jumped up with a spirit suppressor forgetting the pain he felt as everyone who was chasing him lay on the ground and were already lifeless. Those people who were arrogant could even be stepped on with their feet because they had fallen and could not fight anymore.

"What do you want to drink?" derrick asked politely after he managed to control himself.

Now that Derrick was convinced that Raquel was the black rose that had saved him that day, Raquel mentioned his favorite drink casually which Derrick immediately embraced.

Only Raquel and Derrick knew what the night was like and what kind of fear he felt, she still remembered the smile Kimberly had given her back then and that smile was exactly the same as Raquel's smile just now.

"All right, you wait here for a second! I'll get it for you" Derrick said with quick footsteps toward the kitchen where the freezer was placed.

Raquel scanned the place after Derrick's departure.

He knows Derrick is a talented man who, if developed continuously, can become a great man. Derrick is a reliable subordinate of Raquel, Derrick will do whatever he wants even if he asks Derrick to betray his home country.

Maybe because he saved Derrick's life that's why Derrick was so obedient and willing to do what he wanted even if he knew what he was told was wrong.

"This place is pretty decent" Raquel praised by hand for receiving the drink Derrick gave him.

"Hem, I will continue to develop my abilities so that I can get a better place than this." Derrick nodded his head.

He himself does not know if Raquel will be comfortable here or not but he will indeed try even harder to improve his abilities.

Raquel nodded, he came here only to get help from Derrick. He was not going to do useless things now, all he wanted was to repair his body which had undergone many kinds of unwanted things.

He must be able to increase the ability of this body in order to grow strong and defeat all those who have hurt him.

In the swimming pool of an apartment Raphael was sitting with his legs crossed with his hands holding red wine, he was currently playing with his phone after swimming earlier.

"I found information about the woman, Sir!" Rayendra walked towards Raphael carrying some of the files that Raphael wanted.

Raphael averted his eyes from the phone he was holding, he put the phone on the table and asked for data on Raquel that had been collected by Rayendra.

Raphael's brows went up next door when he found out about what had happened to Raquel, they were like two different people with the data.

By the time he shot the hitman back then he felt like Raquel was well-versed in that, the way he shot, the way he calculated the distance and the way he fired.

All that was like a very experienced and no longer a beginner, judging from the body of Raquel who is not like a 38-year-old woman he was sure that Raquel at that time lied to him.

The data on Raquel that Rayendra had obtained was completely different to what happened that day, making Raphael even more curious.

On the other hand, Rayendra suspects that Raquel fell in love with Raphael to do all that to steal Raphael's attention, Raphael himself is still busy reading Raquel's personal data that was obtained by Rayendra and the events experienced by Raquel before Raquel helped him.

"Don't you think this is a little weird? Why does he look different than the one in the data? Did he manage to hide himself so well, and look at the changes after that night! This is really too conspicuous" Raphael said curiously.

He really didn't think that Raquel would make him curious like this.

"Are you going to have a party tonight?" Rayendra asked casually with his hands behind his back.

He stood behind Raphael waiting for an answer from Raphael's lips about the event to be held but unfortunately Raphael seemed not interested in any of it.

"You must go, Sir! Your grandfather will announce his heir tonight, he's asking everyone to attend the event at once he'll announce his illegitimate daughter who he's been hiding so well all along." Rayendra continued to persuade Raphael to come with them.

He really wanted Raphael to go there and attend the event, but unfortunately Raphael was in no mood and did not want to leave.

"What profit do I get if I go there?" raphael asked casually to Rayendra who had been waiting for an answer from him.

"Many, you'll find out about who your grandfather's bastard son is. You can also find out the colleagues of your grandfather also from your business opponents," Rayendra assures.

"Other than that?" raphael asked intentionally.

"There are many beautiful women you can meet there, you don't have a partner yet and your age is already suitable for that." Rayendra gave an answer.

Raphael nodded but his mind wandered elsewhere, he was thinking of Raquel who had already stolen his attention.

At the technology center building, Raquel wakes up from his sleep and looks at the clock on the wall that is inside there. He had just fallen asleep 30 minutes ago, and was now awake from his sleep.

Raquel felt a change in his body and he felt a little fresher than usual, Raquel felt comfortable and calm.
