"Darling?"
Amir's voice rebukes stop Mayang's conversation with the receptionist girl. He is very sociable, making anyone interested in making friends with him. Mayang turned his head, frowning in wonder at Amir who was staring at him while sneering.
"What are you here for? What else is applying for a job?" asked Amir as he stepped closer to Mayang.
The receptionist girl turned her head to hear Amir's question, she even held her breath in disbelief and was afraid that their CEO would hear it.
"Mmc ... Sir-"
Amir raised his hand, rejecting the reply of the girl.
"I'm waiting for my husband. Why?" ketus Mayang threw away the face of her annoying ex-husband.
Amir laughed out loud at Mayang's reply, but the woman was indifferent and remained relaxed in response. In contrast to the receptionist girl who gulped in anxious saliva.
"Oh, so your husband wants to change the fate of applying for work here?" amir's taunts ended with a humbling laugh.
Mayang shrugged his shoulders indifferently. Let Amir insult her at will, and her husband. He smiled faintly waiting for the last seconds the ex-husband was in his arrogance.
"Whatever," said Mayang did not care.
"Sir. Miss Mayang this -"
Again Amir raised his hand, refusing to explain. He stared intently at the receptionist girl, looking down at her head avoiding the manager's gaze.
"You know who he is? She's my ex-wife who chose to get divorced from me and decided to marry an online driver. Funny, right? He went away from me who already had a steady job with a big salary, and lived a mediocre life with the driver. It's laughable!" cibir Amir while looking fixedly at his ex-wife who remained relaxed not offended at all.
"Like you, Amir. Speaking of anything. I don't care" said Mayang with a sweet smile.
Amir growled in his heart, intent to humiliate his wife in fact he was not offended at all. The receptionist girl widened her eyes. He looked at Amir in disbelief at all they wanted to humiliate their boss' wife.
Finish your history, Mr. Amir!
He cursed in his heart, annoyed with the haughty attitude of the manager. Hoping the King would show up to catch him insulting his own superior wife.
"Well your husband is applying for a job here, I can help you get away. Well, I just feel sorry for you. How much, anyway, does an online taxi driver pay? Eating is not enough as it seems. Living in this big city of Jakarta all need money. Try to compare your life which is now the same time as me. Distant, right?" Amir smiled looking at Mayang who sighed.
It's so far different. Your mother didn't like me because I was from the village, but now I'm very well received in my husband's family. In the past, I had to save money because your mother often ngerecokin. Now, finances are full in my hands and there is no need to be afraid of making it. Very far, Amir.
Mayang laughed to himself hearing his heart. Frowning Amir saw that, he should be sad because his life is now like heaven and earth. That was Amir's thought.
"Do you not believe?" amir asked increasingly intensely staring at his ex-wife.
Mayang shook his head, looking down at the haughty man in front of him.
"You know what position I'm in here, right? It's easy for me to get your husband out so that you can work here as soon as possible, but it's not free" continued Amir half whispered at the end of the sentence.
"Oh, so it's not free, huh? Do you need any more money for your wife's delivery, Amir? You just calm down, I can help you with that problem" said Mayang smiling thinly while showing a card to Amir.
Nudging both eyes of the haughty man, he knew what card Mayang was holding. However, then came back laughing, still in disbelief.
"I don't need your money, Mayang. All I want is for you to divorce her and come back with me. You must be happy if you live with me, rather than him whose income is unclear and not how much. Come, Mayang. Life not only needs love, but also needs money," said Amir ended with laughter, satisfied to have humbled the ex-wife to the last point.
Hearing the impolite remarks of her superior, the receptionist girl also felt furious. Amir's attitude is considered to be very outrageous. Without knowing who he was denigrating, just keep spouting words inappropriate for someone educated like himself to say.
He turned to look at the silent Mayang and responded casually, his heart challenged to defend the woman. Mayang was too kind to let others insult him at will.
"Sir Amir! You don't overdo it. Do you know who this Miss Mayang is? I'm sure you'll be sorry for a lifetime if you know who you're insulting" the receptionist pointed out her dislike of Amir.
Amir's head turned to him, staring at the girl behind the table. Threaten him, but it's no longer in effect.
"Who are you? How dare I talk to you. Don't know anything about mending diem! Don't interfere" said Amir, "you want me to fire, huh? Without a severance dime," continued Amir threatened.
Mayang's eyes glared, the disbelief of Amir who he knew well and was polite turned out to be so haughty and condescending.
"I don't care. If you have a boss like you, a good bee I quit this job," he said steadily.
Mayang sipap hand blocked the girl's arm, preventing her from leaving because she was already unhappy with Amir's attitude. Mayang patted the hand, calming his heart.
"Quiet, patient. Facing men like men does not need to use emotions," said Mayang deliberately insinuated Amir.
"But, Mum. He was outrageous, very brave to insult his superior wife," said the girl stared in surprise with Mayang's attitude.
The King's wife nodded with a smile, saying she was fine.
Amir laughed at that, thinking they were working together to frighten him.
"You deserve to be an artist. You guys want to fuck me? Sorry, I'm not scared. So, how, Mayang? You accept my offer?" Amir folded both hands on his stomach, playing his eyebrows tempting the ex-wife.
Mayang smiled, turning his body to face Amir.
"You're horrified, Amir. Even if the heavens become the earth, and the earth become the heavens, I will never return with you. Inget it! I will never go back to you!" mayang asserted without hesitation.
Amir lowered his two displeased hands, staring intently at the woman in front of him who used to drive him crazy.
"Come, Mayang. Divorce her and come back with me. I'll make sure that from tomorrow he works here!"
Prok-prok-prok!
The sound of applause stopped their debate.
