Congratulations to everyone!

For those who sacrifice of course and for those who have not, let us both pray that God bestows His sustenance and permission so that those of us who have not sacrificed can sacrifice in the next opportunity...

Aamiyin!!!

LITTLE REMINDER...

Eid al-Adha (Arabic: ⁇ ⁇ ) is a holiday in Islam. This day commemorates the event of sacrifice, which is when Prophet Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son Isma'il as a form of obedience to Allah. Before Abraham sacrificed his son, God replaced Ishmael with a sheep. To commemorate this event, farm animals are slaughtered as sacrifices every year.

Eid al-Adha falls on the 10th of the month of Zulhijah or 70 days after Eid. This day, along with the days of Tasyrik, is a day forbidden to fast for Muslims. On the day of Eid al-Adha, Muslims gather in the morning and perform Id prayers together in the field or in the mosque. After the prayer, the slaughter of sacrificial animals was carried out. One-third of animal meat is consumed by the sacrificial family, while the rest is given away or distributed to others. Sometimes Eid al-Adha is also referred to as Eid al-Surban or Lebaran Haji.

One of the main tests in the life of Prophet Abraham was to accept the command of Allah to sacrifice his favorite son. This order was received by Ibrahim through a dream that kept repeating. Abraham knew that this was a command from Allah and he told his son, as stated in the Qur'an.

“Then when the boy arrived (at the age) was able to try with him, (Ibrahim) said, “Oh my son! I dreamed that I would slaughter you. Then think about what you think!” He (Ismail) replied, “Oh my father! Do what (God) tells you; god willing you will find me among the patient.”— As-Saffat [37]: 102[2]

During the preparation period, Satan tempted Abraham and his family by trying to dissuade them from carrying out the commandments of Allah. Prophet Ibrahim then cast out demons by throwing pebbles at him. To commemorate their rejection of the devil, stones were thrown in the pilgrimage.[3]

While performing the slaughter, Abraham's knife could not hurt Ishmael. God then replaced Ishmael with an animal.[4]

“Then when both had surrendered themselves and he (Ibrahim) laid his son on his temple (nya), (to carry out the commandments of God). Then We call him, “O Ibrahim! Truly, you have justified the dream.” Verily, thus do We recompense those who do good. This is truly a real test. And We redeemed the boy with a great slaughter.”— As-Saffat [37]: 103–107[2]

Day setting

Eid al-Adha is held while the Hajj is taking place. The pillar and core of the Hajj is the wukuf at Arafah, while the day of the wukuf is known as Arafat Day, which starts on 9 Zulhijah until dawn on 10 Zulhijah.[5]

In the hadith spoken by Husayn ibn al-Harith al-Jadali, the emir of Makkah once preached a sermon, then said:

“Rasulullah saw. has advised us that we perform Hajj based on Hisab and rukyat (hilal Zulhijah). If we cannot witness it, then there are two just witnesses (who witnessed it), then we must work on the manasik based on their testimony.”— HR Abu Dawud, al-Baihaqi, and ad-Daruquthni. Ad-Daruquthni commented, “This lady is connected and authentic.”

This Hadith explains that, first, the implementation of the Hajj must be based on the results of the 1st Hilal of Zulhijah so that when the wukuf and his Eid al-Adha can be determined. Second, the prophet's message to the emir of Makkah, as the ruler of the region, the place where the hajj is performed to perform rukyat; if it does not succeed, then the rukyat of others, who proclaim his testimony to the amir of Makkah.[citation needed]
