ADJOINING REALM
END OF DARSA

That night, Darto is brought into a moment where Darsa quarrels with Gending in a room.

"If it's you, I'm sincere, Mas. Please end my life right now," said Gending sobbing, he cried while holding his neck reddened by being strangled by Darsa moments ago.

"Why did you do that, Dek? What's wrong?" darsa said without looking at Gending, her eyes blank, straight facing forward.

"It's not you who's wrong, Mommy. Everything is purely my fault. I was wrong to love you too much" said Gending bowed and then closed his mouth to silence the sound of sobbing gang breaking from his lips.

"You know what, Mas? Even my parents threw me away. They still choose to be respected people, to ally with disgusting creatures, even though the condition is to throw their daughter after. Everyone also scoffed at me, as my body was filled with disease from the food of the covenant-owning beings my mother gave me. Only you, Mas, who never even felt disgusted by me, even gave me a new life, from you I felt something that kept my chest tight," said Gending stopped, he looked up at Darsa, who was still silent with a blank look on the cot.

"Mas?! I don't deserve to apologize for everything I've done to you. But at least I won't refuse if you tell me to die right now, I'll show you how much I thank you," Gending continued with a pushy look at Darsa in front of him.

"You I've considered my real sister. You're really the second woman I think is special after Si Mbok. Butwhy? Why are you taking away people who even love your sister sincerely? You should love him too!" Darsa replied with Gending's gaze. The furious face again appeared from Darsa.

"I love you as a woman, Mom?! Not as a sister," Gending replied as he threw his face to the side.

Hearing Gending's words. Darsa was silent, he was worried about what he was going to do to the girl who was sitting next to the couch. In doubt Darsa could only look up, his gaze stared at the ceiling of the house, but his mind looked far considering all the events he had passed with Gending.

Everything seemed silent, the two of them chose silence after Gending expressed his feelings. But unexpectedly, something appeared suddenly from Gending's hair. The black snake crept slowly without Gending and Darsa noticing, and pecked at Darsa who was daydreaming in front of Gending.

"Hey! Where are you two?" sergeant Darto after seeing Darsa was pecked by a snake that was inside the body of gending.

"We're outside, Dar. We are not allowed to enter by Gending," he replied lowered his head, with a face that looked full of regret.

"No!" yelling gending as he grabbed the body of the snake, he slammed the snake to lie on the ground.

"Sssstttt you want to renege on our agreement?" said the snake as it slowly crept closer towards Gending.

"It's not so! Why you gotta take Darsa!" answer gending while shaking Darsa's body that has started to pale in front of him.

"Is that your thanks? After I helped you from the man who wanted to kill you? Shht," continued the snake then crept into the mouth of the gending.

"You right? Who killed my wife?" Sergey Darsa while continuing to hold the body of the snake that continues to wriggle in front of him.

Seeing the mother struggling, hundreds of snake puppets immediately came out of Gending's body. Darsa who was surprised to see him could only shout calling his two friends. After Sastro and Wajana came, a fierce fight ensued in the room.

Residents who were still clustered in front of the healer's house were immediately surprised to see the weather changes in their village. The originally scorching bright, suddenly filled with thunder rumbling complete with rain and wind at the same time. They ran towards each other's houses thinking there would be a disaster.

The fight went on long enough. Countless number of houses still wearing bamboo booths collapsed to the ground. The residents were running around, they scattered by continuing to scream in fear.

Darto was really surprised to see the terrible fight that occurred at that time. He could not take what his eyes were witnessing for granted, even he continued to mumble that it was all unreal. But anyway, that's the reality that actually happened.

The wind began to subside, the rain and rumbling were also no longer as big as before. Darsa was bleeding from his lips, and Gending was lying on the ground, with hundreds of torn snake cubs lying next to him.

"I will kill all your descendants! Your child! Your granddaughter! Even to all the descendants you will never meet even once! Everyone who has your blood, I'll make it my meal!" the snake shouted before leaving behind the sprawling Gending.

Sastro and Wajana seemed unable to stand up. Just like Darsa who had been resting on the ground, the three men no longer had the energy to chase the snake that had now become so big. They could only see the snake swallow Gending's body whole, then go limped off with a body full of wounds.

After the snake left, Darsa coughed and pulled a dark red blood from her lips, before she finally collapsed, falling on the ground on her stomach.

After Darsa woke up, she was no longer able to move her body the way she was. Half his body was paralyzed, because the snake venom that entered his body managed to kill half of Darsa's nerves.

Darsa seemed to just continue to regret, he regretted not ending his suffering and also Gending at that time. He felt guilty for still assuming Gending was his little sister. In reality he was already completely like a rope puppet, which continued to obey the movements of what the snake commanded.

After that, Sastro brought Darto to see the end of Darsa's old life, then brought him back to the real world. In just a matter of seconds, they had already reached into Anto's room back.

"Now you've seen it all, Dar. I hope you didn't make the mistake Darsa did. Gending is completely dead, no human being can live that long" continued Sastro after returning, with a face that paled, also looks very tired.

Hearing that, Darto simply nodded. From his eyes seemed a belief, without the slightest hesitation.
