Becoming a Witch in Another World

Becoming a Witch in Another World
Chapter 176: Go To The Promised Place

Four years had passed since I became a knight, outside the Capital I was packing my luggage while Lesoria seemed to cry out in sorrow.

"I really wanted to go there too, unfortunately I had to go on another mission. The attached grandmother couldn't let me be free."

"If he listens to your swearing, he'll probably kill you."

"Aaah, please don't say it."

"Ara."

"Just avenge me."

"It's not that you hate your father for impregnating your mother and going there to die without taking responsibility."

"I do hate him even so I hate someone who makes my mother sad."

"so."

Lesoria looked at me with a strange look.

"What's wrong?"

"Over time we grew up together instead of you being softer now."

"I'm still like I used to be."

"No, no, obviously different. You used to always look scary as if you could kill someone."

"Really," I said as I frowned.

"But I'm happy with your nature like this."

"Not that you should hurry, Richard and Vivia must have been waiting for you at the meeting place."

"Totally so."

Lesoria ran a few steps away from me before stopping to look at me.

"Jeanne don't die."

"I'm not going to die, after all you still owe me."

"Can we take it paid off."

"Reliable debt."

"I'll pay you when you get back but a quarter first."

"You're this."

"Take care of yourself and don't trouble others."

"I never troubled anyone."

I only saw Lesoria leave from where I was standing before finally getting on the train, my destination was the northern continent now completely ruled by the king of monsters while the Eden empire that had previously summoned my mother to this world had been destroyed forever.

As my teacher said, my opponent is now only one person.

During the week of travel I finally arrived in the northern continent, there was a boat facility that took me from the port city of Belfast to the North continent until everything felt faster.

There I gave money to the shipowners before leaving them behind, once every month they would come here until then I could hitchhike back.

I whipped my chariot up to a lush forest, where I met a bunch of cute squirrels who were happy to give me all the nuts they had.

"Right, if you can talk, it's not better."

I pointed my hand to the sky to bring out a giant magic circle and at the same time a glowing dust illuminated the entire forest.

The squirrels looked confused and the first word they spoke was peanuts.

Because my journey is still far away I decided to stay here for three days, during which I taught them to read writing like humans especially about the knowledge of building a house.

When I was done I left the forest and arrived at a city almost entirely blocked by sharp bamboo.

"Can I come in?"

"Who are you, are you a monster?"

"Do I look like a monster in your eyes, my name is Jeanne d'Arc an ordinary adventurer."

After explaining things, they finally let me in. Like the situation, the area here has been filled with monsters so I helped finish everything. As a thank you they made me a beautiful statue that honestly looks similar to me.

Before I left, I asked one thing.

"It doesn't matter a territory without having a host or owner."

And their answers surprised me enough.

A kingdom is simply a place where its people aim to enrich themselves. Without them everyone is happier and more prosperous.

I don't know what the inhabitants of this continent are going to say. It is also called as a neutral city.

If the residents here felt more comfortable that way then this continent should indeed not have leaders like kings or empires.

If one day a kingdom or empire stands here I'm sure someone will destroy it.
