Chapter 5 - Yuan Shi's Suspicion

In a tense situation, Qing Er remained silent behind Sister Liu Bai. He noticed the bandits who were now starting to try to grab his hand, he was Su Mian a future soul expert in martial arts. It was impossible to retreat until the enemy lay helpless. Qing Er immediately turned her back on Liu Bai, giving the man a cue. "Sister Liu Bai, stay in this kind of position! I'm not leaving you!" yelled Liu Qing firmly.

"Qing'Er, this is very dangerous! You don't even know how to wield a sword!" said Liu Bai.

"Oh really? Isn't it like this?" Liu Qing immediately kicked the stomach of one of the bandits then pulled the sword from the man's waist and stabbed it right into the chest of the bandit who was now lying bloodied. Liu Bai fell silent and pecked at Qing' Er, but he immediately refocused on the bandit attack in front of him. Liu Qing also easily read the movements of his opponent's attacks, so he had no trouble paralyzing them one by one especially according to him these bandits are just village criminals who dare to colonize.

After everything was sprawled limp and helpless, Liu Qing slammed his sword into one of the bandit bodies earlier. Cleansing the blood in his hands with the bandit clothes on the ground, the cold-sweated Liu Bai only looked at Liu Qing while looking thirsty. His sister did not seem afraid when she saw blood, but when Qing Er was little she was very afraid when she saw blood. "Sister, are you hurt?"

Liu Qing shook his head. "Not at all, is brother hurt? You look tired, let's buy a drink first!"

Liu Bai was still sculpting as Liu Qing had already walked ahead of him casually while linking his hands back and whistling cheerfully, Liu Qing looked so cheerful after killing the rampant bandits in the market earlier. Either would cause trouble especially for him if one knew that an empress killed a lowly criminal in a slum alley.

From a distance, on the roof a man stood waiting for the right time to help. However, the unexpected also surprised him. General Ji who saw the strength of Liu Qing looked so astonished and incredulous because as far as he knew, Liu Qing had never left the palace and Ji had never seen the woman practice a sword or any other weapon. However, today her gaze changed about the girl, whom Ji saw was truly Liu Qing who was different from before, even the way the woman held a sword looked like a professional.

Afterwards, Ji immediately went to the palace and reported it to the emperor because following Liu Qing was an order he had done at the request of Emperor Yuan Shi. General Ji fully informed Yuan Shi of the incident he saw earlier this afternoon, after hearing that the emperor even directly deployed some troops to escort him to his father-in-law's house. 

In fact, the promised time Yuan Shi still had a few more days left until he picked up his empress again. Hearing the awkwardness that emerged from her empress making Yuan Shi feel worried, she feared that the woman was secretly plotting a rebellion with her family so that she would immediately bring Qing'Er home to the palace.

Even before Liu Qing and Liu Bai arrived, Yuan Shi had already arrived at the prime minister's residence. Yuan Shi was now filled with suspicion regarding the sword prowess Liu Qing suddenly possessed.

"Honor the emperor!" Said Liu Qing and Liu Bai greeting simultaneously. Qing's mother Er walked up to the girl as she saw blood splattered on her youngest child's clothes as well as her eldest son, Liu Bai.

"Liu Bai, Mother has already said to be careful!" mother Said.

"Liu Bai was wrong and deserved punishment!" Liu Bai calmed down and begged for mercy before the emperor.

"Priesting the Empress's life, should have been given a hanging. But, since you are the elder sister of the empress so I will grant her a waiver, expel her to the Western Border and let her serve the people there!" Emperor's Decree.

"Our emperor please, do not alienate our son!" Pinta Prime Minister who is now gathered in front of him.

"The emperor's word is a decree! No one should negotiate with what has been said!" the royal advisor.

"Yuan Shi!" it was Liu Qing's growl that made everyone turn their backs on him. "You dare to isolate Brother Liu Bai! What has he done? Do you know what we've been through?"

"Empress please watch your talk to the emperor! Anyone will not escape punishment if it has hurt and insulted the emperor" said the royal adviser.

"Shut up! I didn't even ask you to speak, how dare you unwisely interrupt the conversation of the Xia Dynasty Queen!" Liu Qing turned to stare intently at the adviser.

The Prime Minister stood up and walked over to Liu Qing, the middle-aged man holding onto Qing Er's shoulders rather loudly. "Liu Qing realize who you're talking to? He is the emperor of this country! You don't deserve to say that!"

"Aren't my words facts? Yuan Shi looks scared of our family until he has to marry me to keep you quiet!" Liu Qing remained adamant against Yuan Shi who would alienate his older brother.

"Take the Empress back to the palace! From now on the empress is forbidden to see her family outside or inside the palace. Can only see his mother and father once a year every lantern festival is held." Yuan Shi walked out ahead of Liu Qing, while the woman was forcibly escorted by the guards to enter the horse carriage.

Her father and mother seemed to be crying over Qing's departure as well as the fate of Liu Bai who had to live in exile. Yet they were simply unable to go against the emperor's decree, as given that the dynastic emperor's status was a higher thing than their own lives. Only Liu Qing dared to fight the emperor as freely as before.

"Yuan Shi!" Liu Qing was furious and was eager to tear Yuan Shi apart with his nails that were as sharp as tiger claws but his hands were held tightly by the bodyguards, carried as if criminals who had committed abuses. Qing Er ended up riding the same horse carriage as Yuan Shi.

"Don't think since we're childhood friends you no longer have any respect for me, where is your respect for me? Didn't you always have to be a friendly, obedient woman who always loved me? Why are you so quick to change to act like a paper tiger who always shows his fangs like this?" Yuan Shi squinted sharply at Liu Qing, the cold aura of the man could even kill the insects around him.

Both their gazes exchanged sharp turns and inside there was also a flame of hatred from the two. Moreover, Liu Qing, now he was completely fed up with Yuan Shi's carefree attitude without even hearing the slightest explanation.

"Give your word to my brother!" the Pinta Liu Qing. "Can't you see how sad my mother was when she saw her son being exiled? Enough Qing' Er that you took from them, don't Brother Liu Bai!" continue Qing 'Er.

"Is that an order from my queen? I don't care about anyone's feelings. If I waver easily at my decision, I won't last this long as emperor!" Yuan Shi smirked subtly.

Qing Er grinned along. "The more you show your power the more you look like a loser in my eyes. You're afraid, we rebelled right?"

"What if it does? Would I be able to calm down when I heard that my empress was secretly an expert in swordsmanship? Killing street bandits with his own two hands?" Yuan Shi pressed Liu Qing's jaw hard.

A split second Qing Er realized that Ji had been watching her earlier this afternoon. His hands clenched and unable to hold back his frustration, he broke away from Yuan Shi and decided to stay away from him.

"Say, since when did you learn it?" asked Yuan Shi suspiciously.

"I don't learn from anyone, it's just my instincts! Even if you don't believe it and decide to find the teacher you think has taught me the sword technique to the end of the world, you won't find it!" Liu Qing did not look at Yuan Shi at all, he kept his back to the man and closed his eyes in annoyance.
