Bad News

For the next three months, while Aji was busy, preparing for his departure to Germany, Jeny seemed to distance herself from her brother. There was only a reason, why she did not want to meet and be with her brother.

Aji, instead of not knowing if his sister is away from him. But, he just pretended not to know. He also wanted, so that his sister could study independently, and not depend on him continuously. Although sometimes, Aji also feels guilty. As if there was something lacking, when there was no Jeny near him.

"Jen," Aji scolds her adek, in the morning before leaving for school. They passed by on the stairs.

"Ma. Jeny's gonna take the driver. Papa has metting early in the morning. Let it not be too late" cried Jeny, telling her mother, who was helping her aunt prepare breakfast.

Papa Gilang, who was already at the dining table, turned a glance, then said, "Your brother Aji, can deliver. He's free today."

Jeny, turned her head towards her brother Aji, who was walking towards all of them, who was ready for breakfast. Aji simply nodded, as a sign that what her father said was true.

"Tumben," said Jeny cynically to her brother.

"Jen," rebuked Oma Rossa, who heard Jeny's words in a cynical tone.

Jeny, snorted coldly and said nothing more. He started breakfast and did not say as usual, as his twin brothers chattered cheerfully.

"Vero, don't take all the air. For Me!"

Biyan and Vero scramble the fried shrimp flour. Usually, Jeny goes fighting. But this morning he was silent without going to serve his two twin brothers.

"Be careful, dear" said Mama Cilla, to Aji and Jeny, as the two said goodbye.

"Yes Ma" Aji replied, kissing her mother's hands and cheeks.

"Just get along, same. Let's not keep sinking like that!" mama Cilla's message, asking Aji, to soften Jeny's slightly stubborn heart.

"Doain ya Ma, let Jeny no longer angry with Aji."

Cilla nodded and smiled at the child. He believes, if this time Aji is also able to make Jeny no longer cold, and angry because of the plan of his brother's departure, to Germany.

Aji drives the car at medium speed. He wanted to start a conversation with his sister, Jeny, who had just been quiet and pretended to be busy with her handphone.

"Jen. Don't you like it when you leave?" aji asked, breaking the silence between the two of them.

"Just go. What do I care," replied Jeny flatly.

Aji took a long breath. He didn't know what to say to make his sister understand.

"Jeny still wants to be a model?" aji asked, remembering that long ago, when Jeny was still a Children's Park, she loved to be photographed. In fact, Jeny had won a child demonstration contest between schools Taman Kanak, during the commemoration of HUT Jakarta.

"Make what? No Brother will be his audience as well" Jeny replied scowlingly.

"Should ya, brother go to Germany? Many universities in Indonesia are no less advanced and also good."

Aji grabs Jeny's hand with one hand, while the other still holds the wheel.

"You must be able to master yourself and your heart. Nor can you be there forever for you. One day, you will have your own close friends, boyfriend, husband and family. It's impossible to be with Brother constantly."

Jeny seemed to be puzzling at all of Aji's words. He did not want to be far from his brother.

"Jeny doesn't need a boyfriend, a husband or anything. Jeny just wants to be with Brother!" jeny shouted with a groan. He tried to let go of the hand held by Aji.

"Yes Brother. Jeny promised," Jeny replied with a smile, looking at her brother who was also looking at her as well.
