PKM CHAPTER 24 - The Black Goat

Draco remains silent and does not question the issue of Yvone's ring on Freya. But, from that very second Draco vowed to find out for himself why Freya could lie to him. Draco recalls vividly that night Freya said she would wear it while welcoming guests.

In the main hall, Draco and Freya welcome guests who come as married couples.

"Your wife turned out to be very pretty, King. Respectfully," said one of the gangster leaders, as he kissed Freya's hand.

Freya hoped her husband would show jealousy because his wife was touched by another man even if it was a sign of honor.

But, Draco looked indifferent, the man was actually much colder than usual.

"I'm going to the castle of the council" Draco said as he finished.

Freya held Draco's hand for a moment. "Tonight, sleep with me, yeah."

"Hm," Draco answered briefly.

Smiling fluffy at Freya's lips, she felt Draco starting to care a little for her.

"Where's Kerel?" inner Draco who has not seen the nose of his confidant.

It turned out that Kerel was already waiting for him in the castle of the Council, the man crossed his arms across his chest while bowing his face. Kerel always takes part in meetings because Draco doesn't want the board members to know he can't read.

"I'm looking for you!" reproof Draco.

Kerel opened his eyes and looked at Draco. "I'm sleep deprived because of you!"

"We'll talk about it later!" reply Draco who wants to discuss the issue of Yvone rings.

Inside the council room all had gathered, upon seeing Draco enter, all the councillors stood up and bowed respectfully.

Draco sits in the main seat and Kerel stands behind Draco to make it easier for him to read the files that the mafia king will open.

"I'm grateful you look okay, King," Dante said.

A cold look that Draco was aiming at the old man then he nodded his head.

As usual, Dante would report palace budget issues plus Eros reported on armament issues and Loyd security concerns.

All their reports will be Draco reviewing with Kerel later.

Then continue to discuss the problem of gladiator events that will be done tomorrow.

And as Draco suspected, after the discussion of the gladiator show was completed, the board discussed Ellen's problem.

"De Servant needs a legitimate offspring not a descendant of an illicit relationship" Dante said.

Hearing that, Draco only smiled obliquely. He's convinced that Dante's goal isn't a matter of heredity.

"I'm going to sleep with Freya tonight" Draco said, silencing Dante.

Dante feels the upper hand because Draco can be controlled as usual. While Kerel just rolled his eyes lazy.

"It looks like there's nothing to discuss anymore" Draco said of ending the meeting.

All the members of the council stood up and bowed respectfully as Draco passed away.

"I'm also happy," said Eros, who did not want to be involved in the meeting again, he better check the condition of the horses that will be used tomorrow at the gladiator event.

Left behind Dante and Loyd who discuss financial matters, as usual Dante asks Loyd to falsify the data.

"You know the consequences, don't you? I was always on your side but I could stab you in the back, too" responded Loyd, who felt like he was going to be made a scapegoat by Dante.

"You take it easy, soon, your rank will rise" Dante promised Loyd.
