Undergoing a New Task

"The new task you have in the future is to scout the front lines. A few months ago, I came across a group of other races that attacked the nests of several small races on the south side. I was stalking the group. After a few days of observation, I discovered that the leader of the group was very strong. There were at least 5 very strong people in that group." Boro explained the situation to Venix.

Venix silently nodded and continued to listen.

"The group had about 400 soldiers. I don't know a definite number. If I stalk them any further, there's a good chance I'll be found and it'll be very hard for me to run after that." Boro said and continued: "Because the strength of the enemy is uncertain, we sent some men to scout the south side. In the past few months, two Purple Level Martial Masters were killed in this mission due to being discovered by the enemy. And we also received information that it looks like this group has other powers that we don't yet know about. So when you do this job, make sure your own safety."

Venix nodded obediently.

Venix nodded. Saying a few polite words, Venix said goodbye to Boro and immediately returned home.

Inside his house, Venix forms a plan in his mind.

Telling the gatekeeper that he will be doing his duty, the gatekeeper reminded Venix to be careful upon learning that Venix would be stalking the front lines.

Out of the village, Venix holds a map, and determines the territory he must guard.

Stripping his feet on the ground, Venix immediately flew through the air, and jumped from one tree to another, heading towards the territory he had to guard.

After running for half an hour, Venix arrived at the territory he had to guard.

During his journey here, everything was safe. He found no enemies.

In fact, the area around the village was full of other races roaming around. But as long as it was only an individual and not a group exceeding the 20 mark, the village warriors would ignore it.

After all slaughtering another race carelessly would only bring revenge from the other races around him. If the village warriors diligently slaughtered the other races in the vicinity, the remaining living beings of the slain race would unite with the other races to attack the village. After that, Venix chose a large tree, and hollowed out the inside of the tree so that his body could fit inside the tree.

Getting into the tree hole, Venix used his strength to form a simple illusion on the hollow part of the tree.

If others saw the tree Venix was in, they would only see the shape of a normal tree without the hole that Venix had made before.

Of course this only applies if the other person is weaker than Venix in the illusion technique.

Closing his eyes inside the tree, Venix immediately cultivated.

Half of his consciousness was diverted into Nero's body, so Venix could also watch over the area Nero's body saw and communicate with him.
