"Brother Yao, you're an Alchemist and I think it's been quite difficult to study the Alchemy Dao and... poison science, are you sure you're studying the Talisman Dao as well?"
From his words, Yao Han understood Shenghao did not mind his request and was worried that he was having trouble learning the Dao Talisman. Honghao looked at Yao Han in surprise.
"So sure, I like to explore a lot of science."
Shenghao scratched his cheek hearing that short answer. Seeing the determination in Yao Han's eyes, Shenghao accepted Yao Han's request. It's not a hard request anyway.
"Uncle Master Wu San always says it doesn't matter if I teach his techniques to others. However, Brother Yao, I'm sorry if my knowledge isn't much because this isn't my best field."
"Having a little knowledge and ability is better than not having it at all, Brother Shenghao."
The lunch break time was then spent by Yao Han learning the talisman from Shenghao. Honghao himself chose to be alone to practice absorbing Qi.
Shenghao had never taught anyone before, so confusion began where. He then thought of showing some of his artificial talismans as a first step.
"From left to right are the Fireball Amulet, Lightning Amulet, and Soul Cleaning Amulet." Shenghao mentioned the names of the three talismans he had lined up in front of Yao Han.
Yao Han took out the Fireball Talisman and observed it slowly, "My feelings alone or the talisman does look ordinary?"
Shenghao laughed softly, not looking offended.
"I also reacted the same as you did when I first saw this talisman paper." Shenghao asked Yao Han to drain the Qi on the talisman he was holding and threw it in one direction.
Yao Han obeyed Shenghao, he flowed his Qi before throwing it in one direction. The paper caught fire and turned into a fairly large fireball.
Yao Han's eyes widened, "Interesting. Very interesting."
"The talisman you just used earlier was able to take out a fireball that had strength equivalent to a level eight or nine Basic Realm.
Shenghao added he could only achieve this kind of ability. If it was sharpened further, then within a year, he could create a Fireball Amulet that was powerful above the tenth level of the Basic Realm.
Yao Han tried the Lightning-elemented Amulet, after flowing the Qi he threw the talisman towards the trees, golden-yellow lightning bolts appeared and struck one of the trees. There was considerable damage to the tree trunk.
"This talisman is much stronger than the fireball talisman just now, huh?"
"You're right, Brother Yao. I studied the lightning element technique, therefore I tried harder to make the lightning element talisman better. The talisman was at least able to compensate for the strength of the Elementary Realm level eleven or twelve."
The lightning talismans were not only the ones Shenghao possessed the most, but also the most talismans he had.
Yao nodded in understanding before glancing towards the final talisman, which was the Soul Cleansing Amulet and inquiring about its function.
"This one talisman is a little special, he will emit a bright light and become a natural enemy of evil spirits."
Just as Yao Han wanted to give it a try, Shenghao gave a warning.
"You better be careful, Brother Yao. Since you're only using it for the first time, the bright light from this talisman might make you blind for a moment."
Yao Han did not underestimate Shenghao's warning. After he drained his Qi and threw the Soul Cleansing Amulet in one direction, he immediately raised a hand covering both of his eyes.
His preparations made the bright light created from the talisman not particularly dazzle his eyes, but he discovered one thing.
"Maybe I was wrong, but I don't think the power of that light was as strong as a lightning talisman."
The light element is actually much more powerful in eradicating evil spirits, much better than the fire and lightning element which is a derivative of the light element.
"According to my estimation, enough with ten pieces of Soul Cleansing Amulet paper can inflict serious injuries on a twelve level Basic Realm-powered evil spirit or an early stage Mortal Foundation."
"I see, I understand." Yao Han nodded enthusiastically.
Shenghao then took out the tools and materials needed in the making of the talisman. Shenghao imparted the basic knowledge he knew from Wu San. He did not even realize it was so late in teaching Yao Han who was vigorously deepening the Dao Talisman.
After feeling himself quite with the basic knowledge of Dao Talismans, Yao Han started trying to make one. At least he had already experienced the failure of about fifty attempts in making the Fireball Talisman.
Once feeling frustrated, it did not make Yao Han give up so easily. He stopped for a moment to meditate. Shenghao secretly admired Yao Han who had a high learning spirit.
After meditating, Yao Han resumed his experiment and finally succeeded at the seventy-two experiment. At the same time, Honghao stopped his training.
Yao Han took a deep breath and started to channel Qi at his artificial talisman then threw it in one direction. The paper caught fire and formed a fireball that was smaller in size than the fireball created from Shenghao's talisman.
"What do you think, Brother Shenghao?" Yao Han asked Shenghao for his opinion on his first achievement.
"In expert eyes, your abilities aren't bad, but since you asked me, it's clear your talent is outstanding, Brother Yao. I think you're more talented than I am."
Shenghao still remembered when he first learned the Dao Amulet. It took three days and at least a hundred and forty-four trials or two trying harder than Yao Han to successfully create one Fireball Talisman. It was only the equivalent of a tier two Basic Realm, while Yao Han's talisman was equivalent to a tier three or four Basic Realm.
"I think it's already quite terrifying to know you're a Golden Alchemist, Brother Yao. In fact you are also talented in the Dao of Amulet," praised Honghao who was surprised by Yao Han's achievement in less than a day.
"You two are too complimentary. This was all also thanks to Brother Shenghao's teachings. It might also be influenced by me who likes to learn things. "
"Don't go down that way. Your reasoning is too simple to explain your not-so-small talent."
"Senior, I thought of one thing. Seeing the talent of Brother Yao, such as Brother Yao is not a Senior disciple of East Wind or has not joined a group yet, I want to invite him to join our sect."
"Ah, you're right. I agree with you."
Then they laughed together.
Yao Han stopped his laughter as he looked at the sky which started to show an orange color.
"It looks like I'm too excited about learning to make amulets. It was late afternoon."
Yao Han scratched his cheeks awkwardly, his remark making Shenghao and Honghao follow staring at the sky.
"I think we should find a place to stay before it's too late."
"No need, I can make a simple inn here."
Yao Han moved swiftly forming several hand seals, a greenish light enveloping his hands. After placing both hands on the ground, the tendrils of plants appear that form a large enough dome.
"It's over." Yao Han smiled faintly.
Shenghao and Honghao silently stared at the ability that Yao Han had just displayed.
