Ep. 62 - Dao of Amulet

"Brother Yao, you're an Alchemist and I think it's been quite difficult to study the Alchemy Dao and... poison science, are you sure you're studying the Talisman Dao as well?"

From his words, Yao Han understood Shenghao did not mind his request and was worried that he was having trouble learning the Dao Talisman. Honghao looked at Yao Han in surprise.

"So sure, I like to explore a lot of science."

Shenghao scratched his cheek hearing that short answer. Seeing the determination in Yao Han's eyes, Shenghao accepted Yao Han's request. It's not a hard request anyway.

Yao Han took out the Fireball Talisman and observed it slowly, "My feelings alone or the talisman does look ordinary?"

Shenghao laughed softly, not looking offended.

Yao Han tried the Lightning-elemented Amulet, after flowing the Qi he threw the talisman towards the trees, golden-yellow lightning bolts appeared and struck one of the trees. There was considerable damage to the tree trunk.

Yao nodded in understanding before glancing towards the final talisman, which was the Soul Cleansing Amulet and inquiring about its function.

Just as Yao Han wanted to give it a try, Shenghao gave a warning.

Shenghao then took out the tools and materials needed in the making of the talisman. Shenghao imparted the basic knowledge he knew from Wu San. He did not even realize it was so late in teaching Yao Han who was vigorously deepening the Dao Talisman.

After feeling himself quite with the basic knowledge of Dao Talismans, Yao Han started trying to make one. At least he had already experienced the failure of about fifty attempts in making the Fireball Talisman.

Once feeling frustrated, it did not make Yao Han give up so easily. He stopped for a moment to meditate. Shenghao secretly admired Yao Han who had a high learning spirit.

After meditating, Yao Han resumed his experiment and finally succeeded at the seventy-two experiment. At the same time, Honghao stopped his training.

Yao Han took a deep breath and started to channel Qi at his artificial talisman then threw it in one direction. The paper caught fire and formed a fireball that was smaller in size than the fireball created from Shenghao's talisman.

"What do you think, Brother Shenghao?" Yao Han asked Shenghao for his opinion on his first achievement.

Shenghao still remembered when he first learned the Dao Amulet. It took three days and at least a hundred and forty-four trials or two trying harder than Yao Han to successfully create one Fireball Talisman. It was only the equivalent of a tier two Basic Realm, while Yao Han's talisman was equivalent to a tier three or four Basic Realm.

"I think we should find a place to stay before it's too late."

Yao Han moved swiftly forming several hand seals, a greenish light enveloping his hands. After placing both hands on the ground, the tendrils of plants appear that form a large enough dome.

"It's over." Yao Han smiled faintly.

Shenghao and Honghao silently stared at the ability that Yao Han had just displayed.
