The sun was tilting westward as the horsemen of about five crossed the path to the teak valley which is directly adjacent to the three kingdoms.

If you notice, the five horsemen appear to wear the uniform of Galuh royal soldiers.

Indeed, the five horsemen, are the soldiers of the kingdom of Galuh. They get the task to bring a message to the empress Galuh Cendana who settled with the rest of the troops who are still loyal to hide in the forest of this teak valley.
