Prince Without Crown

Prince Without Crown
Larkin's fight against Pratisara

The five horsemen now stopped right in front of the soldiers who were now preparing to chase the soldiers from Paku Bumi causing them to pause and look at each other.

"What do you mean get in our way, Larkin?" Asked one of the officers who had been arguing with Pratisara.

"Do you still use your brain to think clearly?" Larkin asked back.

"Hey, Larkin! Traitorous bastard. Still got a face too you apparently huh? I'll kill you if you stop us from pursuing the Earth Spikes who have escaped,"

"Pratessar. The traitor shouted the traitor,"

"Listen, all of you. The soldiers led by Raka Pati were only pretending to lose. Actually you have been waiting in the forest to Karang Kencana duchy. They set a trap there. Do you remember the traps they set up to trap the soldiers of Setra? A blind person will not fall into the same hole twice. You are not blind, nor are you stupid!" Said Larkin trying to explain to them.

In his heart he prayed that he could buy time so that the five brothers from Banten managed to meet with Prince Indra Mahesa faster in the bamboo forest. That way, he will try to buy time so that the entourage of Prince Indra Mahesa had arrived in the Duchy of Gedangan.

Hearing this explanation from Larkin, the soldiers of Galuh kingdom began to hesitate. But not a few want them to pursue.

"Lark! Do you have any evidence that they set a trap? If you can't prove it, then you better keep your mouth shut. I don't ask cowards like you to come after me. Go back and sleep well with your wife as a coward!" Snapped Commander Pratisara who is currently starting to fidget.

"You are a warlord, O Pratisara. But your way of thinking is the same as the thoughts of the common people who do not know the tactics on the battlefield at all. You want proof? Do these people have to die all you believe in? That's right, Pratisara! Look at the fallen soldier! How many warriors of Galuh kingdom and how many soldiers of Paku Bumi were killed? We suffered defeat, but they fled. Does that make sense if it's not a trap? They are currently luring you out of the gate, even though the Gusti Prince himself has forbidden you to go into open war. Does that not violate the order?" Larkin said with a very interesting word for Pratisara.

"Don't believe this traitor bastard! Long ago when we were attacked by the soldiers of Paku Bumi, this bastard escaped in a very cowardly way," said Pratisara increasingly persistent cornered Larkin.

"You blame me, Pratisara? You were the commander in chief at the time. You lose and blame me? What exactly are you in the army for and being its leader? If you're just throwing rocks and hiding your hands, you better stop being the leader of the soldiers!" Denied Larkin with a very condescending smile.

"O warriors of the kingdom of Galuh. Who asked you to get out of the fort and do open warfare? Is it Pratisara, Duke of Rakai of the heavens or on your own will?" Ask Larkin.

Silent. No one can answer.

"Bad you're Larkin!" Commander Pratisara said while pulling out his sword then darted towards Larkin who had since then wanted to provoke the anger of the Pratisara commander to stall for time.

*********

The figure of the commander of Pratisara is now like an eagle that is ready to pounce on its prey slumped towards Larkin with a drawn sword.

Not only resigned to accept the attack that can take his life, Larkin immediately drew his sword and jumped lightly from the back of his horse and then greeted the body lesatan Pratisara commander.

Ting!

The sound of iron clashing resounded in bouncing on the walls of the fort making it deafening.

Now it appears that the Commander of Pratisara and Larkin with positions turned back to each other with a little slouch due to the clash of weapons that flowed with energy in the high level.

Not until a few blinks, now the two other soldiers in the position back turned and darted back to send an attack.

Once again the clang of iron sounds clashed back to deafen the eardrum accompanied by sparks.

This time these two men are eager to knock each other out to end this fight.

The dust in the field of action is now soaring high in the air that it blocks the eyes of all the soldiers who are outside the fortress.

Now all that was heard was the shouting and clanking of the two swords in each other's hands.

More than a cup of tea this kind of circumstance prevails and there seems to be no sign that this fight will end in a short time.

"Come Larkin! Show me your prowess! Don't just avoid it!" Commander Pratisara shouted as he continued to send slashes and stabs leading to Larkin's body parts in the deadly part.

"Why? You want to end this fight immediately so that your cover is not revealed? Haha. You don't dream, Pratisara!" Ejek Larkin made the blood of Commander Pratisara more and more boiling.

"Hiaaaah!"

Duars!

There was a scream and a thumping sound. Shortly after, two bodies were seen bouncing off each other in opposite directions, leaving the arena.

The Commander of Pratisara seemed to be clumping in the air and falling on the dusty ground. While Larkin seemed to float then fell flat on his back with his palm turning a blackish color.

Fresh blood now gushed out from Larkin's mouth signaling that this soldier who was slandered as a traitor was being wounded in a pretty severe one.

With his sword stuck on the ground, Larkin tried to get up. But no matter how hard he tried, he was still unable and again lying on the ground.

Meanwhile, Commander Pratisara who also fell seemed not too badly injured even though there was fresh blood melted from the corner of his lips.

Very lightly, the commander of Pratisara now jumped up and ruffled his waist in front of Larkin who looked gasping while occasionally coughing blood.

"You know who your opponent is, Larkin? Say goodbye to the world!" Snapped Commander Pratisara then raised his sword high to slash Larkin's neck.

However, not to mention that he slashed his sword at Larkin's neck, the four horsemen who had been together with Larkin immediately attacked simultaneously making Commander Pratisara void of ending Larkin's life.

"You are four subordinates of Sadewa who do not know themselves. Let alone the four of you. Five of your leaders won't be able to defeat me, either," panglima Pratisara snapped and then darted towards the assailant and cut the front legs of the horse from the subordinate soldier Sadewa so that the horse fell on the dusty ground causing the rider also to come to float.
