Sheet 14: Doubt of the Heart

Frost could not calm down. Many times he tried to close his eyes and try to sleep, the result was the same: he could not fall asleep at all.

Frost finally gave up and got up from his sleeping position.

From the castle window, a translucent orange glow signifies the night is almost here. Usually at times like this, Zinn would be there, calling Frost to enjoy dinner together. But today somehow the owner of the pink eye bead has not come there looking for it.

Frost was a little worried. It's not usual for Zinn to miss dinner. He rushed to find the young woman.

Frost finds the children still playing in the flower garden, but does not find Zinn being with them. He's getting worried.

Frost approached the horde of children. And, the children who were playing suddenly fell silent.

Frost was wrong on his own. He didn't really understand why people were so afraid of him.

"Is Your Majesty looking for the Madam Prime Minister?" ask Qerza.

Frost scratched his non-itchy head. "really. Can you not call it too formal? Call me Frost."

"I dare not, Your Majesty. Madam Prime Minister just called you very politely." Qerza grinned widely.

"He's very stubborn. I told him to call a name, but he didn't want to" Frost said. His face remained cold and flat.

Qerza nodded in understanding. "The Lady is still in the Main Hall. I'm hoping you and Madam can make up quickly."

Fiery clasped Qerza's hand. "Your Majesty, you may ask the Madam about her feelings. If the Madam is pleased, she will definitely tell you the reason. I'm also a woman, I understand how difficult it is for Madam to express her heart to you." Fiery suggested something good to Frost.

"Thank you, Little Girl. I'll certainly ask him. You guys please enter the banquet hall. We'll have dinner together."

The children gulped, feeling the horror of Frost's words. Your Highness Castleton won't prey on us, will he? thought they.

Frost opened the door of the Main Hall. The room is pitch-black.

As Frost flicked his finger, the candlelight slowly illuminated every corner of the room. He could see Zinn sitting in the middle of the room. A faint sobbing sounded by Frost.

Zinn was unaware of Frost's presence. He is still faithfully sad. His eyes even swelled up because of it. It must be a very worrying situation for the owner of the golden eye bead.

Frost approached Zinn and pulled the young woman into his arms.

"Are you angry at me for forcing you?" Frost whispered softly in Zinn's ear.

Zinn is very worried now. Not only did his eyes swell, his breathing became extremely irregular.

Zinn fell silent, not answering, only continued to sob and continued to cry.

"Ganache, I'm willing to hear your reasons. Is it because I killed you? Did you know that after killing you I killed myself? Come with you to go here?"

Zinn continued to cry while hearing Frost. He doesn't know what to answer.

"I dream every night. I feel guilty for killing you. But, I was given a chance to make up for all my past mistakes. I'm so glad I could see you again."

Frost peeked at Zinn's cheek and continued, "If you're afraid I have very big ambitions, Ganache, just hit me. Let me know that there is you by my side. You know that I would never betray you. You also know that I'm most afraid of you hating me. A man always holds his word, Ganache. If I don't hold my word, hate me. If you can, kill me and throw my soul into the Nine-Tiered Hell, let me realize losing you is the most painful and regrettable thing of my life."

Zinn exhaled slowly, clearing his mind and gaze. Looks like I have to be honest with His Majesty about my fear, his inner self.

“I...” I don't know why Zinn still doubts. Doubt is at the root of the problem he is facing. How could he be honest with the owner of the golden-eyed bead if he wasn't sure?

“Do not hesitate, Zinnia Pramidita Ganache!” exclaim Frost. He was not impatient, but through the words of Fiery Fuchsia Daffodil he became aware that if he wanted a clear relationship, all things between him and Zinn must also be made clear.

“When you wanted to stop me, did you hesitate? Doubt to make my sword penetrate your body? What do you think I am? People who can't be spoken to? Did you know I wish you could talk to me? Even until now it was like that.” Frost let out all his emotions.

“If your reason is the past, the present me has nothing. I am even weaker than you. What can I count on besides my annoying attitude and my brain? I have to admit that I'm cruel and cunning. But I killed Empress Castleton first because she was a hypocrite. If you want me to change, then I will change slowly for you. You just have to tell me what you want.”

Zinn wiped away her tears. He closed his lips, confused as to what kind of reply. He felt that he was a little childish. He was too scared to face the worst possible.

Zinn had not inherited the Morningstar Family's arrogance and confidence. She inherited the nature of her Mother Angel, who was a descendant of Saintess Michaela. Many people have speculated that the angel was a man. In fact, most Angels are female, but Angels can change their gender. So too with the Devil.

It was dark and Frost remembered the children he had sent to the banquet hall.

“I told the kids to go to the banquet hall and wait for dinner there. Instead of your feelings continuing to deteriorate, you better accompany them and talk to them. Other than Cardinal and her partner, there's nothing else we know. Getting to know them will make you feel better. I'll go to the kitchen.”

The moment Frost wanted to leave Zinn, the owner of the pink eye bead immediately hugged him from behind.

“What's up?” ask Frost.

“I want pumpkin soup,” Zinn replied.

Frost smiled faintly. “Of course. I'll make pumpkin soup with some dishes. You don't feel sad anymore.”

As Frost left, Zinn thought, Is it true that I think too much? Your Majesty really likes me? But, what good am I?

Zinn shook his head and moved from the Main Hall to the banquet hall. When he opened the door he could see the children chatting happily. It seemed that they were not thinking too much about the departure of their friend.

"Oh, Mrs Prime Minister. You look like someone who just fought. Your hair and face are so messy!" exciting Qerza.

Zinn chuckles. Your Majesty is right, it seems that talking to these children will make my feelings better.
