The sharp gaze that Anna received just after she entered this room would not make her waver. Anna looked back at the owner of those sharp eyes.

“Good morning, Mr. William. Meet me Anna Florence. This may sound a little presumptuous, but I beg you to write off all my father's debts. Instead, I will work for you,” explained Anna at length with a little fear, but Anna managed to cover it up.

Silly, yet courageous. The middle-aged man pulled the corner of his lips upwards. The little girl was willing to meet him and offered herself in exchange for the father's debt. How intriguing.

“You sure, Miss? Maybe you have to work a lifetime to make up for the debt your father borrowed.”

Anna knows that. However, this was the only way he thought about it.

Arriving home, Anna goes to Andrew and tells him she doesn't have to worry about the debt anymore. Anna has solved the problem by marrying the son of Dominic's family.

Andrew cried and persuaded Anna to withdraw her decision.

“Son, are you sure of your decision? You don't have to do that, son. Dad will be looking for a way to pay that debt,” said Andrew sadly.

Anna hugged Andrew tightly.

On the morning of college, Anna could not focus at all on the course because she was still thinking about the man she should marry.

Anna sighed repeatedly, and kept daydreaming in the middle of the lesson.

“Before coming home, come to my room!"

Die me! Surely the Professor will be angry and swallow me alive for daring to ignore his lesson!

Edgar's words made Anna restless. Anna held Grace's hand for help, but Grace shrugged her shoulders as if she didn't care.

Looks like Anna was hit by a curse, since yesterday bad luck always befall him. Yesterday's wedding, then now he has to deal with Edgar who is notoriously cold and intimidating.

Alone in the classroom, Anna was still struggling with her thoughts while holding her face with both hands.

The thought crossed Anna's head. Moreover, the lecture hours had ended five minutes ago, where he had to face off with Edgar and prepare to receive the punishment.

Before going to Edgar's room, Anna took a deep breath while closing her eyes. His heavy steps eventually led him to a room with a white door that read "Professor Edgar Dominic".

Dominic's? The familiar-sounding name was familiar to Anna's ears, yet she did not remember when and where she had heard it.

“Excuse ... Professor Edgar.” Anna opened the door of the room carefully.

Edgar was playing his laptop seriously. However, once she found out that Anna was in the doorway, she immediately closed her laptop.

Edgar lets Anna in and sits down on the available sofa, then the man brews two instant coffees for her and Anna.

"Drink.”

Honestly, Anna doesn't really like coffee. However, because Anna felt bad if she refused Edgar's gift of a professor, so she accepted it with great force.

“Thank you,” reply Anna while receiving the coffee while smiling gently.

“Do you have any problems? I see you're not focused on the lesson."

Anna was silent for a long time. She hesitated, did she have to tell the matter to the man before her? It would be a shame if he told anyone about the problem.

“Not to be told if you don't want it. Anyway, I won't force it,” Edgar added.

“Actually ...”

Anna was eager to share her story, but she hesitated a little.

Anna subconsciously called out her thoughts while hitting the table, then she apologized.

“I understand. But next time whatever your problem lest you daydream during the lesson! You can go.”

Of course Anna wanted to go home and laze around, but she couldn't believe it because Edgar took it off.

Leaving Edgar's room, Anna did not realize that the man was looking through the window glass by folding his hands in front of his chest.

Edgar even smiled when he saw Anna accidentally kicking a stone right at the security head and he pretended not to know, then just ran away.

“Something girl,” muttered Edgar while smilingly adorning her handsome face, "Father is right, it looks like I will like it.”
