The car that Daniel drove drove quickly split the highway and passed the cars that blocked his path. During the drive for almost two hours, Daniel's car arrived in a large and very spacious old building more precisely overlooking the San Francisco Bay. San Quentin State Prison is the oldest prison in California, many international class criminals are imprisoned in San Quentin. Daniel was initially confused because the prison was made specifically for prisoners who have a high criminal rate, while the old man only embezzled funds that are not how much.

"Finally you came too, I've been waiting for you since." A man wearing a police uniform greets Daniel in front of the prison.

"Ck, it's gonna take a while to get to this place from Los Angeles." Hearing Daniel's answer, the man only nodded his head in understanding, it would take three hours if the trip was taken from Los Angeles.

"You better follow me." Then they both go together. There are not many police officers on guard there, because only certain places are tightened security. They passed through the path of the rat who was only entered by the concerned party. "You know, it's not easy to visit this place if it's not helped by an insider like me. Moreover, that old man you mean to have only twice received a visit after almost a year of being in this place."

"One year?" Daniel frowned, his steps suddenly stopped, of course his police friend turned his head and also stopped his steps. "Isn't it 7 months?" If Daniel counts from his meeting with Ashely, if their meeting has been running for 6 months. The old man should have been in prison for 7 months, but the information he had just heard was contrary to the information he got.

"No, it's been 13 months. Her case was quite heavy therefore she was placed in a place like this." The policeman was seen watching around and then approached and whispered something. "The murder case of a lawyer."

Daniel was stunned for a moment. Not a case of murder, but a case of fraud and embezzlement. "Don't it just embezzle the company's funds, then why become a murder case?"

"He killed, Daniel! killed a famous lawyer. Did you never hear the news if a famous lawyer was murdered in a heinous manner by a wealthy businessman?"

Daniel shook his head in response if he had never heard the news. He was just looking for information that he could easily get. "Then how can I free him?" Daniel still could not believe what he was hearing. His arrival to prison is not without reason, one of which intends to free the father of his woman.

The police seem to think. "That's hard enough, because it looks like someone wants him in prison for life."

"I already know." Yeah, Daniel's been looking for information that someone's David and Jerome.

"You know what?" The police were surprised. "What is your relationship with him?" tanyanya.

Daniel shrugged both of his shoulders. There's nothing wrong with not helping the old man get free. That way Ashley will be more attached to her. And then the two again walked down the hallway with a dim light, until the light was seen from the corner of the hallway that became the connection of the road to the detention room.

"Wait here, I'll call him first." Daniel just nodded at his friend's words and buried his body in one of the chairs.

Not long after, his friend had returned and saw a middle-aged man behind him.

"This friend of mine wants to see you. So please use your time well" he told the middle-aged man and then turned to look at Daniel. "You don't have much time, you have to get out of this place before the other guards know about it. Otherwise, I cannot guarantee your safety and you will also be thrown into prison."

But instead of being scared and depressed, Daniel chuckles. "I'm gonna blow this place up before you guys get me."

"Don't fuck around Daniel!" The cop's friend warned Daniel. Sometimes Daniel is so reckless and a little crazy.

Daniel only chuckled, ignoring the questioning gaze that was in the mind of the old man before him who was already sitting on the wooden chair. And the policeman got out of there and guarded the place in case any of his comrades came.

Daniel's attention was now on the old man in front of him, with a stroke of grief on his half-century face.

"Who are you? I never knew you." Sharpened, paying attention to the handsome and dashing young man. If the policeman was so friendly, it was certain that the young man before him was not an indiscriminate man.

"Are you right Howie Hartel?" Daniel answered the question with another question.

"Truly, do you know me? I've never met you before."

Daniel was smiling. Yeah, at least he made a good impression first. "Your daughter is with me."

Frown lines were visible on Howie's forehead as soon as he heard Daniel's words. "You mean my daughter Ashley?"

Daniel nodded. "really. How many princesses do you have? Do you have a dark wife and give birth to another daughter?"

Shitt! Why is it so hard for your mouth to control Daniel.

"You talk young!" Sure enough Howie didn't seem to accept it. "My daughter is Ashley's the only one" he said. "Tell me what you did to him? Did you hurt my daughter?! Didn't that fucking David really keep my daughter so that it worked out to be in your hands?!"

Hearing David's name, a smile of ridicule stuck in the corner of Daniel's lips. "I don't know what David told you. But did you really believe him after what he did to you? Do you really not know if your daughter was sold at the auction and I made up for it?"

"So he really did it?! He sold my daughter?!" ogre.

"Yes, and you foolishly trusted that damn guy, committing embezzlement and murder!" Although he did not know the old man before him, but still Daniel was annoyed because there was always a stupid old man who was easy to use.

Cold sweat began to pour. Howie truly regretted his actions. Because of his fatal mistake so his wife had to die and his daughter also had to suffer.

"I accidentally killed him. The lawyer was an old friend of mine, where maybe I had the intention to kill him. That night we argued because he found out about the embezzlement I was using. And at the same time David came up with a proof that the Ashmore Group company had changed its name to his name. Somehow he got my company and my family's property. The angry me cannot control myself. I took my gun and pointed it at him, but David immediately pulled it over so that the bullet hit my friend's head. But really I was unintentional, and after that I don't remember what happened, because suddenly someone hit me on the head. I just woke up when I was in the old building, I don't know how long I was unconscious, I tried to escape from there, but all of a sudden the police arrested me on the charge that I killed my friend vilely, his body mutilated. I really didn't do something as heinous as that. And two nights after I was in jail, David came to see me. He said if I did and confessed to everything I did, he'd take care of Ashley, and say it if I was on a business trip. My wife and daughter only found out about me being in prison after 5 months, my wife died of a heart attack and Ashely...." Howie could not continue his words. He really failed at being a husband and father. "Even to this day I don't know about my daughter."

"You're the stupid old man I've ever known" said Daniel. To hell with the good image he had to show in front of the man before him.

Howie was downcast, he could not deny Daniel's words because it was true.

"You take it easy, your daughter is safe with me, I take good care of her. What you can't give and do for her, I can give you all that. It's just I need your signature."

Howie's forehead wrinkled. "For what?"

"You don't need to know, just sign it." And then Daniel pulled out a blank piece of paper, directing Howie to sign it as he wished. Howie hesitantly put a signature on the paper.

Daniel smiled, now one step ahead to get rid of David. And it seems he has to undo his intention of freeing Howie for a while.

After making sure the father of the woman was okay, Daniel immediately walked out of the room because the time was up. Of course he had to get out of there before the other officers realized his whereabouts. Both are now in the parking lot.

"Thanks, you helped me" Daniel said.

"Yes, no problem. Count me back because you and your friends saved me."

Daniel nodded. Indeed, at that time the Black Lion foiled a murder plan whose target was the police friend.

"Then I'll go first." Daniel patted the policeman on the shoulder and quickly passed from there.

After his farewell, Daniel leaves San Quentin State Prison. When he pulled the car over, his hand grabbed the phone and began to contact someone.

"You can do it now. Make sure the company loses a lot of stock" he ordered the men across the street.

After the men agreed to his orders, Daniel ended the call, before smiling. After taking care of David, he will clarify his relationship with Ashley and give status to the woman like a couple in general.
