The Bride Of Choice

The Bride Of Choice
BOC CHAPTER 14 - Black Card

In the car that had already driven Aileen still kept her head down while squeezing her own two hands that let out cold sweat.

Despite being out of the Clarke family home, Helda's anger still haunts her wherever she goes.

Hansel realized that, making this man who spoke very rarely finally open his voice first.

"What size all your clothes? Let Denis get your change of clothes ready."

"Oh yeah, that's why I didn't take my shirt first."

"Change everything with a new one."

"Here I have a little money, Aunt Rose said to me to eat out, but I ate with uncle. So this money's for uncle."

Hansel fell silent, feeling his conversation with Aileen had found no common ground. She asks what and Aileen answers what, this girl is always busy with her own thoughts.

And Hansel saw some money folded neatly extended by Aileen.

This girl really leaves me at a loss for words. Inner Hansel.

"Save the money for you."

"No, this money belongs to uncle."

"Enter it in the dashboard drawer."

"Good."

Hansel took a slow breath, though he was upset but somehow he couldn't get angry at this girl.

"Now tell me what size your shirt is."

Aileen did not immediately reply, talking about this was enough to embarrass her. Until she forgot her fear of Helda a few minutes ago.

"Why silence? quickly tell Denis to get it ready immediately."

"But uncle_"

"Why?"

"I'm ashamed."

"Geez, I don't have time to accompany you."

Aileen fell silent, suddenly feeling Hansel was scolding her.

"I don't have any money either" Aileen's great-grandson again.

Make Hansel immediately stop his car on the side of the road. Thankfully, this is the area that is allowed to park.

"Uncle, why stop?" aileen asked, she was afraid that Hansel would ask her to come down.

He saw the man today take something inside his suit, a purse, then take out a black card from the wallet.

"Wear this and don't worry about money anymore."

Aileen's mouth was open, she didn't have the courage to take the card.

"Get it."

"But Uncle_"

"Take it."

Aileen thaws, until finally Aileen's small hand is pulled by Hansel and used to receive this card.

"Let's go with Siska and buy everything you want. Now we go home first."

Aileen answered nothing, not even nodding her head.

The two of them remained silent until they finally arrived inside Hansel's apartment building. The building belongs to the Braile family, and Hansel inhabits one of its units.

In the elevator to the 10th floor of this building, Aileen finally ventured to speak.

"Uncle."

"Hem."

"What if I lose this card?"

"Replace with your body."

Aileen throttled, suddenly wanting to cry. Imagine she'd be Hansel's servant for life.

"So keep the card like you're looking after your own body."

Aileen nodded obediently, her hands clasped tightly onto Hansel's black card.

When he entered the apartment unit of the Uncle, Aileen was flabbergasted feeling fascinated.

This apartment looks more like a luxurious mansion. The place is large with high ceilings.

Even this apartment feels prettier than the Clarke family home.

"Is this really an apartment?"

"Hem, your room is over there." Hansel pointed to the left side, while he stepped foot towards the right side.

"Rest."

"Good uncle."

They separate.
