“What time is it, why haven't Miss Parsih and Rume returned yet?” said bi Iyem pacing back and forth in front of the door.
All the workers were sitting in rows waiting in between their fears inside the haunted house. The wind blows increasingly cold, heavy rain spatter accompanied by strong winds. Mr. Tomi walked towards the guard post back accompanied by Mr. Mamat. So did bi Iyem and Tina return to their respective rooms.
Who would have thought tonight the undead figure still had a little conscience to save his mother. He sacrificed himself behind a small heart whose soul sat on a demon holding Transo's stab as well as his followers.
“Transo! you are the devil! God damn it you!” pekik Parsih's.
Before his death arrived, he encouraged Rume to leave, the sound of the undead's rampage echoing through the air along with his cries. Transo's spell was broken, the resistance of Rume's figure was very strong mixed with anger due to the death of his mother.
Rume flew home, the sound of knocking on the door woke bi Iyem up. Due to prolonged heavy rain resulting in power outages. As he opened the door, thunderous lightning revealed Rume's sinister face.
His blank gaze walking in sounded the footsteps of the bone cracks. His muddy legs contained blood attached to the white dress that was dragged. The entire face was full of blood, bi Iyem fearfully watched with a bowed body.
“Non from where? Why not go home with the big lady?” ask bi Iyem.
Rume continued to walk up the stairs, blood cries dripping back until the sound of the door slamming was very loud. Bi Iyem was about to close but it was seen Parsih standing up with a more terrible state was staring at him.
“What has happened to madam?” tanya bi Iyem Gelagapan.
“I have a sudden affair. Bi, please take care of Rume for me no matter what, promise never to leave him alone”.
“Good mistress, wait a minute let me call non Rume in her room.”
“No need to mbok, I am in a hurry to leave. In my room there is a painting, behind it there is a box that must be taken care of by aunt” said Parsih.
As bi Iyem turned his body around hearing the commotion in the kitchen, Parsih disappeared leaving the same mark as Rume. Iyem immediately locked the door and then ran to follow the instructions that Parsih said.
The door of the room did not normally open on its own, bi Iyem entered while carrying a candle in his hand. He was looking for a painting that Parsih meant, there were a lot of paintings hanging showing strange images as if the painting was real. One by one he lowered the painting, on the seventh painting seen behind the wall there is a storage area with a round of cipher letters.
“How can I open this? madam didn't tell me earlier” muttered bi Iyem.
He fiddled with letters, spun the names of Rume, Parsih or the late Mr. Ben. But it still could not open until he gave up and grabbed the painting to put it back on. But suddenly the round of the password moves twisted itself. Iyem watched with fear, beginning with the letters b-a-n-g-k-i-t-n-y-a-R-u-m-e.
Iyem spelled out the twisted password, the box inside it opened revealing an old paper tied with hair inside. Shaking his hand grabbed the thing and opened the bond. The hair felt stiff slightly slimy, Iyem read the contents inside the paper in the bright light of the candle he held by occasionally staring around.
The spell occupying the soul awakens the baby Rume. Every ritual must have requirements that must be provided. On Friday night kliwon, so that the undead do not mess up then prepare offerings in a special room. Three chickens and flowers were complete, the whole place was tightly covered with black curtains.
“Bi Iyem!” voice call Parsih.
Parsih's figure is now standing right behind, he touched his shoulder pulled out sharp nails until his skin was injured. Iyem screamed in fear running up the stairs, unconsciously he entered back into Parsih's room. Inside there, Parsih's figure again revealed a flying form extending a hand.
“Iyem, have you forgotten your promise?”
“I'm sorry madam, I can't do that. Only Allah is the best shelter and surrender” said Iyem then read Surah An-nas.
Parsih screamed hot, but he attacked Iyem in various ways. Behind the closet looks Tina noticed the incident. Realizing Tina's condition, Parsih's figure enters Tina's body as she is about to be burned by the verse Iyem recites. Tina was already possessed by the spirit of Parsih, she stood up to lift Iyem's body until pierced into the tip of the statue.
Clap, clap (Puncture sound spilled blood from his body)
Unsettled souls who force to stay together, now reunited despite having to occupy different bodies. Parsih inside Tina's body hugged Rume with a smile. To cover the trail of Iyem's death, his body was buried in the back area of the house. In the midst of the heavy rain made the sound of hoe excavation not heard by Mamat and Tomi.
“Hei wake up Mr Mat! I just saw bi Iyem running there” point Tomi towards the back of the house.
“Ah maybe it's just your feeling sir. How could bi Iyem in the middle of the night do such a strange thing. He is a good person” Mamat replied back to continue his sleep.
Tomi who was still curious to walk to the back of the yard, he highlighted the flashlight to see nothing strange there. As he was about to turn around, there was the sound of singing that Rume often sang. The monstrous tone of the song grimaced shrieking the ears.
“Little stars, in the blue sky. Lots of space decorating. I want to, fly and dance far high to where you are.”
“Aargghh ghost!” tomi's scream ran in disarray.
“Pak Mamat! Wake up!”
Mamat did not care about Tomi's call, he hid under the table while covering his face. By morning, the sound of teklek sandals sounded strong on the brick path. Tina patted Mamat on the shoulder with a sharp look, she thrust out a paper with some groceries and some money into her hands.
“Wake up sir, madam told you to shop” Tina said and left.
Seeing that Tina was gone, Tomi noticed that the woman's attitude was different than usual. Mamat was still half conscious of the drowsiness rubbing his face reading the contents of the groceries and counting the money. She did not suspect a single thing because Tina said that Parsih told her to.
“Pak Mamat, do you not feel anything strange? It should be bi Iyem or Tina who shop” said Tomi.
“Pak Tomi don't think a no-no. Wait here until I return to deliver groceries.”
