Ch 24 — Flock Direwolf
Tohrei saw a group of wolves outside the wall. The wolves were moving towards the wall which made him wonder what their arrival meant. So Tohrei intended to go there.
“Where did my husband go?” Urashia approached Tohrei who was walking slowly.
“I'm going outside my territory, something's going on. Besides, don't call me your husband, we're not even married. Better find another call.” Tohrei kept walking.
“Umm how about I call ‘honey’?”
“Hah..., whatever.” Tohrei could only sigh softly.
It just so happened that the place was currently close to the wall so they could leave quickly.
Arriving at the wall, Tohrei used a switch to get out of the wall because there is currently no single entrance gate.
Tohrei noticed that a group of direwolves he was referring to was now near. The number of direwolves from the group was roughly around the 30s. They suddenly stopped when they realized Tohrei's whereabouts.
“What are you doing here? This is my territory.” Tohrei approached the direwolves and said casually.
“This smell! I smell a little lady smell on her body!” One of the direwolves was surprised.
“Nona? What do you mean?” Tohrei was confused by what the direwolf meant.
“Yes! It's no mistake this is indeed a smell belonging to miss!” Other direwolves make sure of it themselves.
“Hei human! Where is miss?!” One of the direwolves asked angrily. He hoped that nothing dangerous would happen to their lady.
The direwolves looked angrily at Tohrei.
“Actually what the hell are you guys talking about?” Tohrei scratched his non-itchy head while putting on a puzzled look.
The direwolf's guts instantly shrieked at Urashia who was so pressing on them.
“Be calm you guys, don't get angry too soon.” A direwolf calms his flock. He looks like the leader among them.
“So who are you referring to?” Tohrei again questioned the same thing.
“Our lady is the son of the leader of this group. But the leader was gone and at the end of his life he gave orders to take care of his son. Until one day when we passed through this region, miss disappeared from our group. That's why we turned around to look for miss.” It was clearly the direwolf that had previously calmed his flock.
“Hm is that so? Then come with me. I want to make sure that this person I know is the lady you are referring to or not.”
Tohrei thought of one person, Ikumi. One possibility why Tohrei found Ikumi alone is because he was separated from his herd and it could have been a herd of direwolves that was a separate herd with Ikumi.
“How do we trust?” He cannot believe in someone.
“Hm how ya? Do you think this will make you want to come along to make sure?” Tohrei threatened them by showing dozens of hovering swords.
The direwolves retreated a few steps warily upon seeing the threatening hovering swords.
‘She apparently won't let us escape if she doesn't agree to come.’ The lead direwolf thought what decision he would make.
“Alright, we will come.” Finally he decided to follow Tohrei to make sure their miss.
“Then stay there as long as I do switch.” Tohrei prepared to use his skill.
“!” Tohrei quickly moved everything to its destination, his residence. Tohrei brought Urashia as well as a herd of direwolves.
