Chapter 6: Poison of the Wisteria Flower

"Then excuse me, good night, ma'am." Lily said as she lowered her head and walked out of the room of Duchess Broglie.

"Wait, why doesn't the poison work?"

"Didn't the poison hit Madam? No I'm sure that I hit Madam's body during the fight or maybe the poison that Princess Ellie gave me didn't work?"

"No, no, I must not doubt Princess Ellie's decision, I must trust her, she is my friend I must trust her." Lily said in her heart.

"Yes, congratulations ma... Uhuk uhuk uhuk..." Duchess Broglie was cut off in surprise when she heard a cough with blood coming out of her mouth.

"Blood?" Duchess Broglie said softly in surprise.

"Mrs, are you okay?" Lily asked worriedly as well as curious.

"It's okay, I'm good... Uhuk uhuk uhuk." Said Duchess Broglie, whose cough was so bad that she fainted.

"Mrs!!!" Shouted Lily to make Duke Broglie, Louis, Duchess Broglie's husband woke up.

"What's this commotion?" Duke Broglie asked angrily as he flicked his hair.

"Y-Your Majesty, good night, how-how did you get here?." Lily asked to switch the conversation in surprise.

"I slept right in that room over there and I woke up to the sound of your loud screams, Chief Maid." Duke Broglie was a little upset.

"Pardon me, Your Majesty. Nyo-nyonya Ta-tadi... Madam collapsed after coughing up blood, Your Majesty." Lily said in fright as Duke Broglie grew angry.

"What?"

"Helena fainted after coughing up blood? And why are you still sitting here? Quickly call the doctor and take him to my room! Hurry up!!"

Shouted Duke Broglie who ran after knowing the state of his wife who suddenly fainted after coughing up blood.

"Ba-good." Lily panicked and was delighted to feel that her attempt to attempt an assassination on Duchess Broglie was in vain.

Lily rushed out of Duchess Broglie's room and called the Broglie family's doctor and took her to Duke Broglie's room.

"Tok tok." The knocking of the door.

"Your Majesty, it's me, Chief Maid. I brought the doctor here." Lily said as she waited in front of Duke Broglie's room with the doctor beside her.

"Send him to come in." Duke Broglie told the Chief Maid to go in and get his personal doctor to come in while getting up from his seat beside the mattress and caressing his wife who was still unconscious.

The doctor went to Duke Broglie's room to check on Duchess Broglie, who was unconscious, after an examination, the doctor explained to Duke Broglie that Duchess Broglie was exposed to the poison wisteria which made him experience a long sleep, although the poison contained in wisteria flowers is not dangerous and deadly, but the poison can make a person who inhaled or exposed to the poison experience a long sleep that leads to death if the person exposed to the poison it doesn't wake up either.

Knowing that, Duke Broglie was not strong enough to hold back his tears, after Duke Broglie felt calm, Duke Broglie also said goodbye to his wife, Duchess Broglie who was still lying limp on the bed.

"Lily, tell everyone in this residence to gather in the main hall, there's something I want to tell you all!" Duke Broglie told Lily.

"All right, Your Majesty. Hm... Your Highness then what about Young Master, Miss and Young Duke Verita should I call them as well, Your Majesty?" Ask Lily to make sure.

"No, for Eugeo and Sena I will speak, if Young Duke Verita... Wait a minute since when is Young Duke Verita here? And why didn't anyone tell me." Duke Broglie asked in astonishment.

"Now where is Young Duke Verita." Duke Broglie asked.

"Se-now Young Duke Verita... A-there's..." Lily said in fear.

"Where...?"

"Where is Young Duke Verita now? Answer my question Lilian York!" Duke Broglie asked Angry.

"Young Duke Verita is in the guest room, Your Majesty." Lily said in fear as she trembled.

"The guest room? Hm... All right, you can go." Duke Broglie said to the Chief Maid.

"Then, what did you order?" Asked Lily who was still trembling.

"You call, but tell them to gather in the hall tomorrow morning. Do you understand what I mean, Chief Maid?" Duke Broglie asked.

"Well, I understand, Your Majesty. Then excuse me first." Lily said as she bowed her body and left Duke Broglie and Duchess Broglie still unconscious.

After the Chief Maid, Lily, came out of Duke Broglie's room. He rushed into his room and picked up the paper and pen and wrote a letter to His Majesty Princess Ellie, his friend.

"Good night, Princess. How are you doing? May you always be in the protection of the Goddess Stacia. I want to apologize for bothering you by sending you letters this night. I have important news that I want to talk to you about, I will explain the details in this letter.

First, the poison wisteria flower that you gave me at that time was working.

Second, Duchess Broglie began to suspect me. And lastly, if you are not busy can we meet at Cafe Anatolia in 2 days at 21:00 p.m., Princess? There's something I want to talk to you about the incident that Duchess Broglie, the Princess, has just experienced.

The next day, Lily called everyone in Duke Broglie's residence to gather in the main hall. After everyone had gathered, Duke Broglie gave word of Duchess Broglie's condition, then told all the workers at Duke Broglie's residence to tighten guard and check on anyone who had come in and out of Duke Broglie's territory, be it nobles or commoners. After giving Duke Broglie's order, he immediately left the main hall and went to the waiting room where his children and Young Duke Verita were waiting.

A few minutes before Duke Broglie arrived in the waiting room.

"Tok tok." The sound of knocking on the door.

"Yes? Login." Say someone in the waiting room.

"Who is that? I didn't say there was anyone in the waiting room." Sena and Eugeo said in their hearts. When the two of them entered the waiting room they were surprised to see there was Young Duke Verita in the waiting room.

"Zidan's? What the hell did you come here for? No, than that when did you come? Why didn't we know you were coming here?" Sena was surprised.

"Ah. y'all didn't know last night Madame Duchess had an accident." Said Young Duke Verita.

"What, our mother had an accident?"

Sena and Eugeo asked while shouting loudly.

"Wow.. Wow. You two calm down. Madame Duchess I've treated, although her injuries are not so severe compared to others but I've treated her, so you two don't worry anymore huh?" Young Duke Verita asked while calming the two of them down.
