The Foreign Taste

The Foreign Taste
Uncovering Jua

"Hmm? Sorry, who are you?" Rahayu asked the man in front of her.

The man looked simple in the plain white shirt he was wearing. Some of the man's hair looked gray. And the most interesting thing about the man's appearance was the expression of shock on his handsome face.

Rahayu also remembered. If he ever met the man somewhere. Because that guy just called his name.

However, Rahayu could not remember a name for the man before her.

"Wither! You're really Rahayu, aren't you?!" Ask the man back.

That man is Nanda. He had just arrived at his house after being told by Amin, his neighbor, about what happened to Ranum.

But when he just stepped into the house, he even found Rahayu's presence in his family room. His old school friend was like he just finished calling someone. It can be seen from the phone that is still in his hands at this time.

"Yes.i am Rahayu. Sorry, do we know each other?" Rahayu asked with a confused expression.

Nanda was stunned by Rahayu's reply. For a while, he was unable to say anything.

"You.. don't remember me, Yu?!" Nanda asked in disbelief.

Rahayu observed her closely, before finally shaking her head with a confused look and also regret.

"Sorry, a few years ago I had an accident. And I had to lose my memory. If we ever knew each other, could you tell me about me? All you know is." said Rahayu with an apologetic expression.

Nanda walked over to his old friend. Until finally the distance between them was only about two meters left.

"You're really missing a memory? Is that why you never came back to look for Ranum? Because you've even forgotten her?" Ask Nanda back in a row.

"Searching Ranum? What the hell does that mean? Excuse me. I really don't remember anything." Rahayu replied increasingly confused.

Nanda looked in Rahayu's eyes. And what he saw really blew him away.

Like what was said by Rahayu it is true. His friend had indeed lost his memory. Nanda was shocked. He sat down on the sofa near him.

Nanda rubbed his face twice. Trying to drive away the shock that still encircles his mind at this time.

After feeling calmer, Nanda then remembered the important thing she had forgotten. In a hurry, Nanda stood up again, and asked who she was.

"Ranum! What about Ranum?!"

Nanda immediately raised his gaze around. Looking for the unseen figure of the princess.

Spontaneously, Rahayu answered Nanda's curiosity. He also then said.

"Ranum's in his room. He is resting" replied Rahayu.

Nanda looked back at Rahayu for a moment, before finally directing her steps to Ranum's room as well as Kania.

Meanwhile, Rahayu begins to suspect that the man in front of her seems to be Ranum's father.

Though he had seen her once, when Ranum was delivered by his father to school. But Rahayu had forgotten the identity of the man in front of her because she was curious about the man's sentence for a moment.

'What does he mean by I'm not looking for Ranum?' rahayu thought wondering.

Unknowingly, Rahayu's legs follow Nanda's steps in front of her. The two of them also entered Ranum's room. Where he is still accompanied by Ceu Lilis, his other neighbor Nanda.

"Thank you Ceu, take care of Ranum. From here, let me take care of Ranum," said Nanda thanking Ceu Lilis.

"Muhun.yeah with Mr. Nanda. Where's Nida's mother? Haven't arrived?" Tanya Ceu Lilis made small talk.

"Yet, Ceu. He said he was still stuck in traffic" replied Nanda kindly.

"Yes, thanks Ceu.."

"Hayu Teteh, Eceu said to go home first," said Ceu Lilis to Rahayu.

"I.yeah, Ceu.." Rahayu nodded briefly.

And Ceu Lilis went home. Leaving Nanda, Rahayu and Ranum in that one room.

"Dad.." said Ranum from the top of his bed.

"Num.. is it true that Amin said, if you were attacked by unknown people earlier?" Nanda asked as she took a seat near her daughter lying down.

"Right, Dad, actually that guy's been following Anum for a few days. And just now he attacked Ranum," said Ranum explained.

"You know that guy, Num?" Ask Nanda.

Ranum. "No, Dad.. Anum doesn't know that guy."

"Then what does that guy want?" Ask Nanda who she knows.

For a while, the atmosphere inside Ranum's room became silent. Until then Ranum realized the existence of Mama Ayu. He hasn't introduced Adnan's mom to his dad.

"Oh yeah, Dad. It's Aunt Ayu. Her mother is classmate Anum. It was Aunt Ayu who nolongin Anum. Do not know if Aunty Ayu did not come." said Ranum hanging.

Nanda's gaze returned to Rahayu for a moment. Before he finally looked back at his foster daughter.

Then, suddenly an alarm went off in Nanda's mind. Related to the cause of the disaster that hit Ranum this afternoon.

Nanda looked straight at Rahayu, then said.

"Rahayu, it seems I know the cause of Ranum being attacked by a stranger this afternoon," said Nanda.

Ranum looked confusedly at his father.

"Dad.. have you known Aunty Ayu?" Ranum's question cut through the chatter of the two adults. "Sorry.." added Ranum, when he felt his speech was disrespectful.

Rahayu returned Ranum's gaze to her with her similarly confused look. While Nanda looked at her daughter with a careful look.

In the first place, Nanda gently rubbed the head of the princess who had been nurtured for a dozen years gently.

Only then did Nanda continue to speak in a soft voice.

"Ranum, there's actually something I want to tell you. Mommy never told you about your true origins?" Ask Nanda carefully.

Somehow, hearing his father's words Ranum became a little nervous. Even so, he still nodded his head.

"Yes, Dad.."

"So, actually your real mother you have met, Num," said Nanda.

"Have you? When's Yah? Who?" Ranum asked hopefully worriedly.

Nanda's view then turned to Rahayu who listened to the conversation with a questioning view.

Until when Nanda conveyed the real facts later, Ranum and Rahayu finally looked at each other with a look of disbelief.

"Rahayu, Ranum is your biological daughter who you used to entrust to me and also Nida. You may have lost your memory, but I mean it with my words, Yu. Ranum is really your biological daughter" Nanda said in the end.
