The Over Lord: Rise of the New Lord

The Over Lord: Rise of the New Lord
hitch it

Davendra lived for 300,000 years and many things happened when he stepped on the martial path to the peak of power to become the supreme ruler.

Davendra had already killed millions of enemies, hunted tens of thousands of demonic beasts from the lowly to the god level, becoming fugitives in various regions of the universe, or fight for an ancient artifact that can destroy a planet.

But this is the first time in his life, he's in prison for defending himself from the crime of bandits intent on robbing. It can be said that he was the victim of wrongful arrest and accused of making a scene in the city.

Sitting in iron bars with the female bandits he had previously defeated, Raynor was only perplexed as to why he could end up in prison and become a prisoner with them.

"Mr guard, please think carefully I'm a victim here, and it's obvious that I'm just defending myself from the three of them but why I'm in jail, isn't this unfair."

Raynor shouted out loud for the city guards to hear the grievances he had. But as if it didn't matter, the two guards in the holding room just sat back and laughed out loud while telling me about their pets.

"If you don't get me out, I'll use some rough way to get out of this place."

Still no response from them, Raynor was still patient, but if all this would be a problem and incriminating him, of course the other option was blurred.

"Do you hear... Don't make me angry."

Feeling ignored Raynor slumped on the floor of the prison room, while the female bandit who was still conscious saw it strange, however he was screaming indistinctly while no one wanted to hear.

"It's free, even if you scream until your mouth is out, they won't just set you free." Said the bandit lady with a mocking smile.

"Who do you think is wrong, if you don't intend to rob me, none of this will happen."

"I won't apologize, because I did it for the sake of making money to eat, and it's your fault that you fought us to the point of making a fuss in the middle of town."

'Hey am I wrong here ?'

'What is paying attention to property when it will be robbed is the wrong thing ?'

"What kind of stupid speech is that, so do I have to give up all my hard-earned money and surrender when robbed by you even if I get killed."

"That's probably best, when you're robbed by us, you don't have to fight back, just give your money away, and there's no grudge, no resistance, so we're both safe." A strange suggestion from a bandit.

"Forgot that, I would rather fight to the death than let bandits like you benefit from the misery of others." Raynor refused his advice.

It was as if there was no justice for dull-looking people like him and they licked the feet of noble families or merchants for personal gain.

Just sitting there waiting, Raynor occasionally saw the female bandit who was still sitting pensively and hugging his knees. Different from the two male bandits, the two were placed in different rooms, including the condition they were still in a fainting state because Raynor beat him quite hard.

Raynor is a little interested in several things, as a man who really likes beauty, this bandit woman is quite beautiful, only she does not get body care or give herself so that her beauty is lost.

"Hey lady, why did you become a bandit robber, don't you have a better job."

Raynor did not want to be like a desperate man who was just silent and resigned, therefore he invited the woman next to him to talk.

"What do you expect from an outcast like me." He answered with a mocking expression.

"The outcast ?."

"Oh, you're not from this town, so you don't know. Since childhood I was sold by my parents as a slave, because it was a time of war, I could escape, at first I worked anywhere to make money, he said, but living without anyone in a harsh city, just like hell, until I was taken by bandits and taken care of by them."

Raynor could imagine every single thing this woman told me...."It turns out your life's hard too."

"If I can't do it, I need the money, because there's a lot of things I have to do."

"Lantas tell me what you're doing in this town, if I see from your appearance like a tramp, but how can you possibly get so many soul stones, you know, are you a thief."

Raynor was offended for the girl's judgment based on her appearance alone.

"Don't carelessly speak, even though I look like a vagrant, I obtained all of the demon beast soul stones on my own efforts, during the journey in the forest towards this city, during the journey, I fought desperately to survive."

"We can't beat you, you're quite trained in martial power."

"That's how."

There was a bit of a conversation between the two of them, most likely because the girl and Raynor's lives had something in common that was equally difficult, a reason that made them familiar.

Although this woman had a bad job, but a reason to survive in the harshness of the world, Raynor could not blame her.

"It's a pity, thinking about quitting being a bandit, you should get a better job."

"Do you think it's easy, a woman like me, having only two choices, being a bad person, or being a prostitute, which obviously I don't want to sell myself for sheer lustful gratification."

"I wouldn't suggest it either, you're too pretty to do bad things like being a villain."

"Beauty?, don't joke, I've already thrown away my female soul, because I don't want to be considered a weakling."

"I'm not saying that women are weak, I know many women who are very strong and even extraordinary."

Surely they are the women he met in Davendra's life while traveling to become the supreme ruler.

Not long after a long enough chat, a guard opened the prison door.

"You're Raynor avya ...." The guard called.

"It was me."

"You're here, there's something we need to talk about."

"What's the matter, sir ?."

"Later you'll know."

But before leaving, Raynor looked back at the female bandit who was still sitting quietly on the floor.

"Hey lady, if we meet again, I'll teach you some things that might make you stronger."

"I was wondering if we'd actually meet again, but when that happens I'll beat you up." The woman showed a smile with a slight annoyance.

"Let destiny define it." The answer was short then went to follow the guard.

Raynor had sympathy for the woman, she had tried hard to survive, even though the way she did was wrong. But as the supreme ruler, he understood the characteristics of a person and he knew that the woman was not one to give up so easily.
