Chapter 39. Surprise

"Kanaya, you'll be accompanied by Mizuki. I called him so he could come here. Later, you don't have to be afraid of being alone." said Gilang while pressing the password of his apartment.

Ting..

The door of Gilang apartment is open. Kanaya with a super sad face walked in with slow footsteps. Gilang followed him behind and suddenly appeared a small child from behind the sofa.

"Surprise!" said Rendy who came out of her hiding place.

"Rendy?" sahut Kanaya who immediately hugged Rendy tightly.

"Why was mom and dad so long? I've been waiting almost an hour here. Forced, I took a snack in the fridge. Sorry, pah." said Rendy casually without feeling the burden of guilt at all after making Kanaya almost lose her heart.

Kanaya's sad face disappeared after hugging Rendy. He then smiled and looked at Rendy sharply. "You're relaxed here, enjoying your meal." Kanaya quipped in an unusual voice. Rendy understood Kanaya's change of voice, quickly Rendy ran behind Gilang to hide.

"Hey, Rendy! Here you are, you bad boy." cried Kanaya while pointing.

"Mama should not be too angry, later mama's face is wrinkled and looks old" replied Rendy.

"You think I care? You're the one who makes me look old now. So, come here and take responsibility!" kanaya's scream echoed in Gilang's apartment. Gilang just smiled at the behavior of Kanaya and Rendy. They're like tom and jerry when fighting, jerry always avoids tom. Like Rendy who doesn't want to fight Kanaya.

"Rendy, have you eaten? Your stomach must be the laper from earlier. Sorry, I'll make you some fried rice" Gilang said as he leaned in to equalize his height with Rendy.

"Yep, I am indeed the current laper" Rendy said as she held onto her stomach, reassuring Gilang.

"He has eaten a lot of snacks, he has paid no laper anymore." said Kanaya as she folded her hands and turned her back with a sullen face.

"You too, Kanaya, you better sit down. You must have been tired of walking. I'll make juice to relieve your fatigue." said Gilang who walked to the kitchenette in his apartment.

Kanaya smiled at Gilang's words. He took a seat earlier than Rendy. "Mama would want to too, right? Well then, you shouldn't be scolding me." said Rendy as she looked at Kanaya's face.

"Why really? I can't possibly refuse because it's free." replied Kanaya.

"So, if papa invites you to get married for free, you want to?" said Rendy who got serious. Kanaya shuts Rendy's mouth afraid Gilang hears her.

"Hush, hush. Don't talk much, this is a people's house. You're here as a guest." Kanaya explained.

"I own this house. I can get in easily, maybe mom won't be able to get in if there's no papa. Aren't we?" Rendy Goda.

"How could you do that? Didn't we just stand waiting outside because no one knows the password of the arrogant president's apartment?" ask Kanaya who put on her kepo face. He wanted to know how Rendy opened the door.

"I can do it because I'm smart. Maybe you're not smart, so you can't do it."

"I'm not stupid!" kanaya yelled insistent because she knew what her son meant.

Gilang was comforted to hear the debate of Kanaya and Rendy. Silang even smiles when making fried rice. He then went out and served his homemade fried rice, but Gilang's eyes became more rounded looking at Rendy who was on the table, lying down with her hands trying to push Kanaya away. While Kanaya, just keep pushing Rendy's body to stay stuck on the table.

"Your feelings have stopped arguing, why is it getting hotter now?" tanya Gilang who still stands pecking.

"Rendy just kept looking for trouble with me" Kanaya replied without looking at Gilang.

"No, I'm not provoking your anger. Mama herself is always sensi, what I say is true." Rendy fishing rod with a smile.

"You dare to fight me?"

"That's brave. You better admit defeat to me. I'm smarter, I can count on and I always make amazing surprises" said Rendy, who refused to budge.

Seeing the mother and child who did not want to budge, Gilang forced to interfere in their divorce. Gilang pulls Kanaya's hand so that Rendy is free. "Thank you, pah. You've defended me rather than defended my mother. Do you also know if your mom is wrong?" said Rendy wanted to make Gilang and Kanaya argue.

"So you're also accusing me if I started all this?" point at Kanaya while looking at Gilang with a serious face.

Rendy who saw there was a good opportunity, she went to take the fried rice made by Gilang and ate it while sitting watching tivi casually. "They just kept arguing and I was going to eat quietly" Rendy said, bribing herself with Gilang-made fried rice.

Suddenly, Gilang's phone, which was accidentally placed on the sofa, rang, making Rendy's focus distracted. Rendy also saw the name on Gilang's phone. "grandmother?" Rendy quickly ran to pick it up while raising a call from Gilang's grandmother.

"Hello, Grandma. I'm Grandma's great-grandson, my name is Rendy. We meet sometime, Grandma?" rendy said with an enthusiastic face.

"Who is this? Rendy?" said Gilang's grandmother who was surprised from across the phone.

"Yes, Grandma. I'm Rendy, Grandma's great-grandmother. I should've called Grandma just Oma. If papa calls grandma, then I have to call Oma." said Rendy thought while talking make grandma Rani laugh to hear it.

"You're so funny. Your face must be pretty cute and adorable. Oma can't wait to see you." said Rani's grandmother with a happy face.

"I'm at papa's apartment, Oma can come here and meet me. Coincidentally, I was alone because papa and mama were busy making a sister for me" Rendy said fishing for Rani's grandmother.

"What's? Busy making sister?"

"Yes, Oma. I don't want to bother them. So I watch tivi while eating fried rice instead of later slack." said Rendy clearly.

"Oma immediately went there and rebuked them. It's so outrageous that Gilang, they do it in the afternoon and Oma's great-grandson knows it." explained Grandma Rani before ending her talk. At that time, Kanaya just came out of the kitchen while carrying fried rice and juice that had been made by Gilang. Rendy just smiled at Kanaya.
