I'm Back

Aster set his foot toward a bright light at the west end. The vast expanse of a garden overgrown with thousands of flowers was so dazzling to his eyes. And the bright light he saw was not the moonlight let alone the sun. The light was so bright, 1000 times brighter than the light of the lamp.

"Aster, please come back!!"

His footsteps stopped after hearing a familiar voice enter and hang out in his ears, Aster looked back and he saw no one. Then he swept his gaze in all directions hoping to find the whereabouts of the person who called him, but again he did not see the whereabouts of anyone.

"Keanu," he called her soft. It was Keanu's voice, and Aster couldn't possibly misidentify someone's voice. But where is he? Why can't he find his whereabouts? Aster kept wondering as he continued to search for her whereabouts, but he still did not find her.

"Aster, man,"

She looked back after hearing someone call her name. Both of Aster's eyes looked teary looking at a woman he so longed for staring at him from a distance.

"Mama" she called out to him. Aster wiped his tears and ran over to the woman who turned out to be his mother.

The body staggered backwards due to Aster's sudden embrace. The woman bathed in white light smiled. "Mommy's daughter seems to have grown up, you've grown into a very beautiful woman."

"Mama, I miss you so much. Where have you been, Mama all this time? Even coming to my dream you never did, did Mama know that I was really tormented without you" Aster said, hugging his mother tightly.

"I'm sorry Mama, Aster. Because I had to leave you, I miss you a lot too. But now Mama's happy to be with your grandmother,"

"Then take me too to come with you. I want to hang out with Mama and Grandma as before, "please Aster, her voice sounds raucous.

The woman shook her head. "I'm sorry Mama, Aster. But Mama can't take you with us, there's someone waiting for you to come home, so you can't come with us."

Aster turned towards the light, he saw a man waiting for him. The man reached out to her, but Aster did not see what she looked like, but he recognized her posture until finally....

"Mr,"

"Let's go, kid, let's go home. Your husband and son are waiting for you to come home" the man who turns out to be Mr. Jovan invites Aster to come home. That's right, he can't just leave and leave them both.

The sound of baby crying buzzing in his ears made Aster increasingly not want to leave. With confidence, Aster stepped into the light and welcomed the hand of his father who picked him up to go home. Go home to where he should be.

"Keanu, you,"

Keanu gasped in shock at the familiar voice that was roaring in his ears. Suddenly he raised his previously bowed head, and he widened his eyes seeing Aster had opened his eyes.

"I'm back,"

Keanu's tears fell upon hearing two words coming out of Aster's lips. The fear that had previously pressed down on his chest and made him unable to breathe disappeared instantly, with the full extent of him hugging his wife.

"Thank you for coming back for us,"

The epilogue...

"Grandfather, we're coming."

Mr. Jovan stretched out his arms to welcome the arrival of the grandson. The five-year-old boy ran and hugged his grandfather as he arrived in front of the man.

"You're getting heavier, Grandpa, so he's barely holding you." Said Mr. Jovan while bringing the grandson into his arms.

"That's because Mami gave me a lot of nutritious food and drinks."

"Where are your Mommy and Papuans? Why did you come here with a driver?" asked Mr. Jovan, he was looking for Aster and Keanu.

"They're going out of the country. Mami and Papi said, Ken does not need to come along because it can interfere with them making children again," replied Ken innocently.

"Gosh, your parents are really outrageous. Then Ken with grandpa, let's go inside."

"Hu 'um. Grandpa was right, Mami and Papi are indeed very outrageous!!"
