One Month Passed

A shining sun shines down on the earth, birds chirp from twig to twig. The distinctive smell of the soil is revealed to the sense of smell, due to heavy rain that flushed the earth last night. "What are you cooking?" ask Thomas.

"Well, it looks good" said Thomas, poking the still hot porridge.

"Aw, hot," cried Thomas holding his hand.

"Yes pardon, you play comot only, this porridge is just ripe," he said. Amelia tried to blow Thomas' blistered hand from the hot porridge. "Wait here, I'll get you an ointment" he said.

"All right" replied Thomas. Not long after, Amelia returned with an ointment for burns. Amelia applied the ointment to Thomas' finger. Accidentally their beads met each other in a straight line. They stared at each other with uncertain feelings.

"Ehm, it's done" said Amelia, trying to melt the atmosphere. In fact he was extremely embarrassed, let alone Thomas' intimidating gaze at him. Make her cheeks flushed like boiled shrimp.

"Thank you" he said.

"It's over, I'll serve it at the dinner table" he told Thomas.

"Let me help," he bargained.

"No, you just sit down!" his orders. But, Thomas insisted on helping Amelia.

All the food is ready at the dinner table, now just wake up Sherly who is still asleep in her dream.

"When's Daddy coming home?" ask Sherly. "Kok Sherly doesn't know," he said.

"Kan Daddy deliberately gave a surprise to Sherlly," said Thomas. "Sherly happy isn't she? From now on Daddy will often be at home" he said.

"Hore .. hooray," pleased Sherlly. "Sherly was very happy, Dad," he said. Amelia could see the happiness in the little girl's heart. However, somehow his feelings are uncertain since Thomas' return to Indonesia.

"Oma, Daddy's home" said Sherly pointing at his daddy.

"When are you coming home? How did you not know Mama?" ask Celine.

"Alah use all the surprises," shebik Mama. "Mama knows if you rush home because there is someone you want to meet," said Mama. Thomas scrunched his brows.

"Mama knows best what her son wants" Thomas chuckled. Celine smiled when she heard her son's words. Amelia who did not know the meaning of the two just tried to smile knot.

"Well, Mama's favorite chicken porridge! It must have been Amelia who cooked it" Celine said. "Thomas, you must have never tasted chicken porridge made by Amelia, this is very tasty," said Aunt Celine.

"Truely, I happen to be hungry" he said. Thomas immediately took a bowl of chicken porridge that had been formulated by Amelia. He tasted Amelia's cooking, it was true what his mother said, Amelia's chicken porridge was very good, it tasted like chicken porridge in a five-star Restaurant.

"It's delicious" praised Thomas.

"And I told you, Amelia's cooking is really delicious" said Aunt Celine.

"Ah, Auntie, this is just plain chicken porridge anyway," he blushed embarrassedly. "Please have breakfast" said Amelia. "Yes, Sherly, you want a aunt?" bargain Amelia to Sherly.

"No, today Sherly wants to eat alone" he said.

"Well, Sherly's a really smart kid" said Amelia.

"Yes, Son! Don't you want to buy baby clothes today?" ask Celine.

"Yes, Tan! Amelia's content has entered the age of seven months more, and Amelia must prepare the needs of the baby from now on" he said.

"It looks like Amelia has to go back to Amelia's parents' house" she wrote.

"But!" confused Amelia.

"Look, let's just say I hired you to always accompany Sherly in this house, I'll pay you, and you don't have to worry, you can save for your labor costs" she said.

"How could that be? I don't want to eat a blind paycheck" he sneered. "Then I'll just work in this house" Amelia asked.

"Unfortunately this house doesn't need servants, I'm gonna hire people just to accompany Sherly, period," Thomas said.

"Ish, once forced," shebs Amelia scowled annoyed, it turns out the man in front of her, very fond of organizing and forcing. Aunt Celine and Sherly are just good listeners.
