CANDRAMAYA STORY
Part 16: The Curse of the Dancer

“Assallammualaikum”

“Waallaikumsalam, buk”

“Piye how are you doing?”(How are you doing, son?)

“Alhamdullilah well buk, mother how did the village?”

“Thank God I'm worried about you, lately I often have nightmares about you, mother's feelings are also not calm here”

“Mother do not have to worry Maya is fine there Aryo, Bima, Desi is also uncle here”

“Thank God if so”

“Mother home when?”

“Emmmm, mom has not been able to go home ndok village is in trouble”

“What's the problem buk?”

In the phone, my mother told me that my village was in the midst of a plague caused by the curse of a dancer. Apparently at that time my village Rogojati village held the election of the village chief. The candidate is Mr. Galuh the old village head and Mr. Suminto.

For as long as I know Mr. Galuh is the only person appointed to be the village head in my village. And there has never been a change of village head because all residents are comfortable with the leadership of Mr. Galuh. For some reason, suddenly Mr. Suminto asked for the election of the village head and he himself as his candidate.

In response to Mr. Suminto's request, Mr. Galuh negotiated the proposal in the village with all residents. At first, many refused, but some agreed. By mutual agreement between Mr. Galuh as the village head and all Rogojati residents finally a week later the election of the village head Rogojati.

The surprising thing happened apparently the most votes fell to Mr. Suminto, so that the current position of kades is held by Mr. Suminto. To celebrate his victory, Mr. Suminto held a dance performance three days and three nights in a row and all residents invited to watch.

Because when in my village there is rarely a response (entertainment) so all residents are very enthusiastic to watch the response dance. All residents of the dating village are immune to witness the dance response without exception. The first day nothing strange happened, the residents were very entertained and even very happy with the response. Weak trembling of the body of the dancers as if able to hypnotize anyone who sees it.

There is one of the dancers who attract the attention of Mr. Suminto, although Mr. Suminto already has children and wives but his passion for men with beautiful women is still passionate. The dancer was named Sekar, white skin and beautiful face did attract many men, including Mr. Suminto.

And apparently Sekar is a village flower in the next village. The second day of the performance, Mr. Suminto did not dance on stage with Sekar, he also gave a lot of sawer money. Until the third night of Mr. Suminto's interest in Sekar was unstoppable, Mr. Suminto came to Sekar's house and asked him to be his second wife. But at that time the proposal of Mr. Suminto was rejected outright by Sekar on the grounds that he already had a lover.

Mr. Suminto who did not accept the rejection immediately vented his anger. In that instant he was also looking for the man who became Sekar's lover, Mr. Suminto dragged the man.

“Let go Darsa mas, what do you want” Shouted Sekar to Mr. Suminto

“I will release this useless man as long as you want to be my wife” said Mr. Suminto

All the citizens who witnessed were unable to do anything, could only be concerned.

“aku ora sudi dadi bojo lanang nasty rich kowe” (I don't want to be the wife of a bad man like you).

“Mas Darsaaa” Sekar ran to the body of his girlfriend who died in the hands of Mr. Suminto.

“what's wrong I press kowe tega nglakoni iki ing me” (What's my fault until you can do this to me). Sekar lamented the death of his lover but the current suffering did not only arrive there. Mr. Suminto asked his men to make sandra so that Sekar would marry him.

Now given one day to think about everything, the threat was always given to Sekar. Until the heart and mind of Sekar can no longer hold everything. No one can help him from Mr. Suminto's cruelty. Until finally Sekar with a heavy heart received a proposal Suminto sir.

But not married according to his promise at the beginning but Sekar only used as his lust fulfillment every night. Every night Sekar was asked to come to a house that was deliberately built by Mr. Suminto on the side of the forest village of my village which became the barrier between my village and Sekar village.

“aku wis nglakoni kabeh kang kowe arep saiki I collect your promise kanggo mbebasake wong tuwa ku” (I've done everything you want now I collect your promise to free my parents).

“mengko arep I release sawise I marem enjoy you” (Later I will release after I am satisfied to enjoy your body.

There was no resistance Sekar did when Mr. Suminto's hand swayed his entire body. Only tears came out of her beautiful eyes. For months Sekar became the lustful gratifier of Suminto sir and had to serve Mr. Suminto every night. And each of them also Sekar felt disgusted with himself. The turmoil between his mind and his mind made Sekar that night able to fight Mr. Suminto. Sekar stabbed the stomach of Mr. Suminto with a knife that he had prepared from home.

But the knife did not really make Mr. Suminto seriously injured, Mr. Suminto even back to teaching now without mercy. After that Sekar's body lay on the floor with blood flowing on his forehead and at the corner of his lips.

Not only that, the vile man let his men enjoy the body of Sekar who was already dying. Without mercy they took turns raping Sekar until finally Sekar was left alone in the house. And that night also from the mouth of the men of Suminto sir, Sekar knew the truth about the two orangunya who had been killed by Mr. Suminto.

With the rest of his power Sekar walked to the River which became the source of the springs of my village and Sekar village. On top of the high rock Sekar dropped his body with all the grudges in his heart. Revenge for the death of his parents, revenge for the death of his lover and revenge for his honor.

Not only that Sekar marked his death as the beginning of the curse that he would spread to the village Rogojati especially the village chief Rogojati pak Suminto. Lives are paid for, sorrows are paid for, tears are paid for.

That night also all the villagers were amazed by the sound of gamelan music that echoed on the side of the forest that became the barrier between Rogojati village and Sekar village Wulungsari village. From the direction of the forest appeared a person with agility and gurgling dance beautifully.

“What's the response to pack?” Ask Nami ma'am Galuh's wife

“Ndo not know buk, maybe next door” village

“Nanging suwarane deket very rich sir dalai village”(But the sound is very tight you pack like dibalai village)

“Iya ma'am, but the feeling of father would cloud ora ono preparation nothing ning village hall”

“Perhaps impromptu pak”

“Yesudah father did not try there, mother at home just take care of Lana”

“Iya pak”

Apparently not only Galuh sir who came out to see, it turns out the entire population. The dancer is not dancing in the village but in the middle of the village. Mr. Galuh knows who the dancer is, the dancer is a dancer who was invited by Mr. Suminto the other day. But why did he dance in the middle of the village alone. And the dance moves the longer they are noticed the more bizarre. Unlike Gambyong dance in general.
