Once upon a time, in the Land of Tanjung Kemuning, South Sumatra, there was a king named Ratu Ageng who married a God Kahyangan. They lived in the sky and had two sons, Raden Kuning and Raden Alit, and a daughter named Dayang Bulan. The three sons of the king loved each other. Raden Kuning and Raden Alit are powerful mandraguna. From childhood to adulthood, they studied various kinds of magic to the Grandmother Goddess of Heaven.

After nearly twenty years of living life in the Sky, Queen Ageng longed to return to Earth. Therefore, he intends to invite his entire family to move to Earth.

“Okay, empress and my children! For some reason, suddenly I feel homesick for my father's birthplace. I want to go back to Earth and live there. Do you mind if I invite you to come to Earth?” ask Queen Ageng.

“Of course not, Dad! I'm going with Dad to Earth. Haven't we all Dad's kids never seen Dad's birthplace?” said Raden Alit.

“Really, Dad! We are also coming!” sahut Raden Kuning and Dayang Bulan.

Queen Ageng smiled happily at the answers of her sons and daughters. She understood their feelings so much because her three children were born in Heaven that they had not known about life on earth since childhood.

“Alright then! Tomorrow early in the morning we leave for Earth,” said the Great Queen.

The next day, Queen Ageng departed with her family and a number of guards to Earth. On Earth, they built a palace that was not as grand as their residence. Ratu Ageng and his family and followers live like earth humans in general.

After a few years of living on Earth, disaster befell the family of Ratu Ageng. Her daughter Dayang Bulan died after being bitten by a snake. The death of her daughter brought deep sorrow to Queen Ageng and her consort. However, Raden Kuning and Raden Alit could not accept the death of their sister. They believe that Dayang Bulan is not yet the time to die. Therefore, both of them asked permission to the father to go looking for Dayang Bulan.

“Ampun, Dad! We believe Dayang Bulan is not dead yet, Father! Allow Ananda and Raden Yellow to go look for her!” pinta Raden Alit's.

“Okay, Son! Didn't you witness for yourself that Dayang Bulan has died and is buried in a flower garden?” queen Ageng.

“Really, Dad! But we are sure that what was eaten at that time was only the shadow. His original form has been kidnapped by someone who is very powerful mandraguna,” Raden Kuning said.

At first, Queen Ageng was not so sure what the two sons said. However, as Raden Kuning and Raden Alit continued to urge her, Queen Ageng eventually allowed them to search for Dayang Bulan.

After saying goodbye to his parents, Raden Kuning and Raden Alit went to look for Dayang Bulan. They walked for months without direction. As soon as they arrived at a beach, there was a roar, a large and magnificent ship, which was anchored. At once they immediately jumped on the roar because they thought Dayang Bulan was in it. However, after inspecting the entire room on the ship, they found only two men sleeping in a room. Raden Kuning woke the two men up and asked them.

“O friends, who are you! Why do you guys stop at this beach?”

“Sorry, friend! We fell asleep from exhaustion after a long time on the way to find our sister named Dayang Ayu,” replied one of the ship owners named Ulung Dates.

“If we may know, how can your sisters be lost?” ask Raden Alit.

“Begini, friends,” sahut brother of the ship owner named Serincung Dunung. “Our sister has died from being bitten by a snake. However, we are confident that he did not actually die. He was kidnapped by the king's son Salek Alam named Malim Putih.”

“Hai, friend! How do you know that the king's son kidnapped your sister?” asked Raden Yellow curiously.

Apparently, Serincung Dabung was a necromancer. Raden Kuning and Raden Alit also asked him for help to find out the existence of Dayang Bulan. After Serincung Dabung performed a necromancy, it was finally discovered that Dayang Bulan was also kidnapped by the son of the king of the Land of Salek Alam named Malim Hitam.

The four men turned out to have the same goal, which was to find their sister who was kidnapped by the two sons of King of the Land of Salek Alam. However, because Serincung Dabung could not see the location of the State of Salek, they finally split. The Stumped Ulung runs over Kahyangan, the Yellow Raden flies in the sky like a bird, and the Dabung Serincung runs in the water.

Meanwhile, Raden Alit walked on land along the wilderness and up and down the hill. On his way, Raden Alit met a grandmother who was dressed very neatly.

“Grandma where to go?” ask Raden Alit.

“Grandma is going to the wedding, My granddaughter!” answer the grandmother.

“Who will get married, Grandma?” asked Raden Alit to know.

“Sorry, Grandma! If I may know, who are they married to?” asked Raden Alit curiously.

“Black Malim will marry Dayang Bulan while White Malim will marry Dayang Ayu,” replied the grandmother.

Hearing the grandmother's answer, Raden Alit was increasingly convinced that Dayang Bulan and Paddle Ayu were still alive. So with his magic, Raden Alit disguised himself as a banden slave, which is to change the shape of his face. After that, he went to the Land of Salek Alam.

Upon his arrival in the country, Raden Alit met with King Jin and told him about his arrival in the country. King Jin was very kind and had a beautiful daughter named Salipuk Tengah Pandan. Raden Alit fell in love with him at first sight. In a short time, they immediately entered into a loving relationship and promised to get married. With that relationship, Raden Alit was getting closer to the family of King Jin. Raden Alit then asked King Jin for help to free Dayang Bulan and Oarung Ayu.

With his power, King Jin changed the shape of Dayang Bulan and Paddle Ayu into two flower stalks before they went up to pelaminan. Then, unbeknownst to Black Malim and White Malim, Raden Alit managed to sneak into the room Dayang Bulan and Paddle Ayu. As soon as he entered the room there were two flowers lying on the floor. Without thinking long, Raden Alit immediately took the two flower stalks that are the embodiment of the Moon Dayang and Ayu Paddle.

However, as soon as Raden Alit came out of the room, suddenly Black Malim and White Malim came to confront him.

“Hai, who are you and want to take where our future wife is!” exclaim Malim Black with a flushed face.

“Give those two flower stalks! Or we'll beat you up!” add Malim Putih with his growl.

“No! I'm not going to give up these two flower stalks. You have kidnapped our sister,” Raden Alit denied.

Fierce fighting was inevitable. At first, Raden Alit was still able to balance the devotion of the two sons of the King of Selak Alam. However, after the battle lasted for days, Raden Alit was overwhelmed and thrown into the sky. Fortunately, the door of the sky when it was opened so that it did not fall to the earth. Finally, Raden Alit went to the Sky God Grandmother for help.

“Am, Grandma God! Help me to defeat my two enemies, Black Malim and White Malim, who are on Earth!” pinta Raden Alit's.

“God, Grandson of Raden Alit! Both your enemies cannot be killed. But you can throw it into the sky. Upon arrival in the sky, I will put them in an iron cage,” said the Sky God Grandmother.

“Alright, Grandma! Let me return to Earth!” pamit Raden Alit's.

Upon his return to Earth, Raden Alit issued all his powers so as to throw the two enemies into the sky. As soon as they arrived in the sky, the Grandmother God immediately put them into the previously prepared iron cage so that they could no longer return to earth. Meanwhile, Dayang Bulan and Oarung Ayu are back in human form.

Not long after, came Raden Kuning, Si Ulung Dates, and Serincung Dabung. Raden Alit then recounted everything that had happened.

“Thank you, Friend! You have saved our sister Oarung Ayu,” said the Deuteronomy Date after hearing the story of Raden Alit.

“Same-sama, Friend! This success is inseparable from our cooperation and the help of King Jin,” Raden Alit said.

“Hai, who is King Jin?” ask Serincung Dabung.

“He is the King of Jin in this country and is very kind,” Raden Alit replied.

Finally, Raden Alit and Si Ulung Dates brothers immediately met King Jin to express their gratitude for helping them defeat the two sons of King Selak Alam. After that, they say goodbye to return to their respective countries.

Meanwhile, at the palace, Queen Ageng and her consort have been shrouded in anxiety for months waiting for the return of their children. However, once they saw Raden Kuning and Raden Alit back with Dayang Bulan, they could not resist the feeling of haru. To welcome the return of her three children, Queen Ageng held a massive party for three days and three nights.

After the party, Raden Alit comes to his parents and tells them that he has actually made a promise to marry the beautiful daughter of King Jin. Finally, Queen Ageng and her entire family came to the place of King Jin to hold a wedding party Raden Alit with Palipuk Pangandan Heart. Raden Alit and his wife lived happily ever after.

Moral Message: there are three lessons that can be learned from the story above, namely first, fellow brothers must love each other as shown by the attitude and behavior of Raden Alit and Raden Kuning, secondly, the attitude and behavior of Raden, with good cooperation, evil can be easily repelled, and thirdly, the person who does evil will bear its own consequences, like Black Malim and White Malim who got punishment from Grandma God because they have kidnapped Dayang Bulan and Paddle Ayu.
